Dominating the broadcast categories with six wins, in addition to three creative Emmys Awards, The Young and the Restless celebrated its best awards season in the show's 41-year history.

The Bold and the Beautiful claimed four creative Emmy Awards, more than any other daytime drama, and Let's Make a Deal received the show's first Emmy Award, for Outstanding Original Song, "30,000 Reasons to Love Me."

Nina Clay vs. Ava Jerome on 'General Hospital' Is Going To Be Epic!

There have been some epic battles in history--Yorktown during the American Revolution, the Norman victory at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, Stalingrad during World War II--but the one brewing on ABC daytime drama General Hospital these days could rival them all.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) used to be the scariest woman in Port Charles. That was until Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) arrived in town. This lunatic has a list, and she is checking it more than twice. Nina has plenty of people she is ready to exact revenge on, and Ava is one of them.

Ava is a sociopath, but Nina is batshit crazy.

Kimberly McCullough Returning to 'General Hospital' This Summer as Robin Scorpio Drake

Four months after her latest exit from ABC soap opera General Hospital, Kimberly McCullough is set to reprise her role as Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake sometime this summer.

The two-time Daytime Emmy winner teased her appearance via Twitter (see below).

Emmy Award-Winning Actress Linda Dano Vents About Kathy Griffin Hosting the Daytime Emmys

Actress Linda Dano, who won an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Felicia Gallant on NBC soap opera Another World, recently spoke out on her Facebook page expressing her thoughts about Kathy Griffin hosting the Daytime Emmys on Sunday Night. Dano was not pleased with Griffin's less than classy commentary and the decision to hire her as host of the ceremony.

Check out what Dano had to say, in her own words, below about Kathy Griffin and this year's Daytime Emmy Awards.

I need to vent about Kathy Griffin and last night's Daytime Emmy Awards. Named the host by Malachy G. Wienges, Chairman of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences / why I don't know.

Clearly, the TV Academy wanted a buzz worthy host for their live stream-only show, and you can't get much better than filter-less Griffin. Oh, and she delivered. Her entire intro also had nothing to do with daytime TV

I don't know her and she doesn't know me...after last night, I don't care to know her!

She started the night by saying "Welcome to the shit show…this is your night…" Can't imagine anything less classy!

Her claim to fame is that she likes to offend people. Congratulations, mission accomplished.

The Daytime Community is a closely knit community of hard working, very professional, talented people who love entertaining their devoted fans.

I have had the honor to be recognized by The Academy and my fellow performers. I am offended to have someone like Ms. Griffin say things like "We’re making history! Oh god — shit! Guys, I’m sorry if my nipples fall out."

I was truly offended for my fellow members of the Daytime Community but when she repeated something about Susan Lucci that Sarah Michelle Geller told her in confidence (that probably never happened, Kathy Griffin crossed the line!

I won't repeat it here. Look it up if you want to see what she said.

When The Academy selects a host like Kathy Griffin, it's no wonder people have no respect for Daytime.

If you feel like I do, please let Mr. Wienges know. It's the only way The Academy will know that their experiment did not work.

Do you agree with the respected Dano? Do you think Griffin went too far? Share your thoughts in our Comments section below.

New 'Kidnapped For Christ' Trailer Released, Award-Winning Documentary Premieres on Showtime July 10

On Thursday, July 10th at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, Showtime will premiere Kidnapped For Christ, a powerful, award-winning documentary that includes Mike C. Manning and Lance Bass as executive producers. Kidnapped for Christ chronicles the shocking truth behind Escuela Caribe, a controversial Christian behavior modification program in the Dominican Republic for "troubled" U.S. teenagers.

Initially hoping to document the positive effects a boarding school like this could have on struggling youth, evangelical filmmaker Kate Logan is granted unprecedented access and allowed to live on campus for the summer.

Once there, Logan’s eyes are opened to the truth beneath the sunny facade of this remote reform school—kids being taken by force in the middle of the night, rumors of physical abuse, and staff imposing arbitrary and degrading punishments on the young students—and encounters students who change her life.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Daniel Polo on Bullying, 'The Young and the Restless' and Enjoying His First Daytime Emmy Nomination

Emmy nominated actor Daniel Polo.

Actor Daniel Polo, a southern California native, was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award this year in the Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series category for his fantastic performance as Jamie Vernon on CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. What started as just three episodes reoccurring, quickly turned into 22 episodes, as Jamie struggled with bullying, depression, and suicide attempts… a character pegged with secrets he was terrified to reveal.

Polo doesn’t remember when he first fell in love with film and television, it might of been when he was 4 years old, going to kindergarten as a different character everyday (never just Daniel!), but after guest starring on some of the most popular television series such as Private Practice, Without a Trace, Nip/Tuck, Gilmore Girls, Bones, and NCIS, Polo landed his Emmy-nominated role on Y&R.

Serial Scoop asked Polo about his Daytime Emmys experience, playing Jamie on The Young and the Restless, being bullied, and what's next for him. Read our exclusive interview below:

SERIAL SCOOP: Jamie was bullied by Summer (Hunter King) and then Fen (Max Ehrich). Have you ever experienced anything like this or encountered it in your life?
DANIEL POLO: I think everyone was bullied at one point or another in there lives. Though I based Jamie off of a friend of mine from second grade, the only time I think I've ever really experienced anything close to bullying was on the Internet when I was 11. I had put an animation video that I made on YouTube. I spent hours on it, trying to get it just right and perfect, and when I put it up, I got some really harsh comments. I kept deleting hateful comments, until finally I just figured there was no point and the best thing I could do was walk away and let it be. Now my experience is nothing close to what I saw my friend go through or what Jamie went through. Compared to some of the stories viewers have shared with me, I got off easy.

Emmy-winning former General Hospital actress Julie Marie Berman and The Young and the Restless' Stephanie Lemelin were among the stars on hand this weekend at Best Friends Animal Society's "More Than A Cone" benefit. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2014, Best Friends is a national animal welfare organization focused on ending the killing of America's shelter pets.

"More Than A Cone" is a unique and informative art campaign that invites influential artists to re-imagine the "cone of shame." Designed to change the perception of the "cone" in order to raise awareness about why these collars are necessary, and to give back to animals in need.

The event was Saturday, June 21 at the La Plaza de Cultura y Artes. Check out more photos below:
