Nina Clay vs. Ava Jerome on 'General Hospital' Is Going To Be Epic!

There have been some epic battles in history--Yorktown during the American Revolution, the Norman victory at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, Stalingrad during World War II--but the one brewing on ABC daytime drama General Hospital these days could rival them all.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) used to be the scariest woman in Port Charles. That was until Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) arrived in town. This lunatic has a list, and she is checking it more than twice. Nina has plenty of people she is ready to exact revenge on, and Ava is one of them.

Ava is a sociopath, but Nina is batshit crazy.

Emmy Award-winning actresses Maura West and Michelle Stafford are on fire right now on GH. West has been sensational for months, and Stafford has been a revelation in recent episodes. Both are 2015 Daytime Emmy frontrunners.

This may be the perfect example of a popular actress leaving one show (The Young and the Restless) and joining another one (General Hospital) because she truly needed a change. It certainly has worked for Stafford, who hasn't been this good in years. Insanity is back style thanks to Nina Clay!

I am glued to the TV waiting for the confrontation between Nina and Ava!

Who will come out on top when these women come face to face? The way I see it, it's the fans of General Hospital who will win at the end.

The Complete Story of 'The Doctors' (1963-1973)

Daytime TV covered the world of soap operas for decades before finally folding in the 1990s. Below is the historical feature on the first 10 years of NBC's The Doctors (1963-1973), which is currently being aired on Retro TV. Some of the interesting tidbits include: * The Doctors did not start as a serial; it began as a "half-hour anthology series of medical dramas, set in the large metropolitan Hope Memorial Hospital, and with the four principals alternating daily in the lead role, according to NBC's original announcement. The roles were Dr. William Scott (played by Jock Gaynor), Dr. Jerry Chandler (portrayed by Richard Roat), Dr. Elizabeth Hayes (played by Margot Moser) and Rev. Samuel Shafer, a hospital chaplain (played by Fred J. Scollay). * Later in the first season, Herb Kenwith and Paul Lammers became
