'The Bold and the Beautiful' Amsterdam Spoilers: One Couple Finds Love, Another Falls Apart

Amsterdam was the setting for the latest The Bold and the Beautiful location shoot.
Last week, CBS' Emmy Award-winning daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful went on location to Amsterdam to "film a romantic story on the canals" in the capital city of the Netherlands.

Cast members Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy Forrester), Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) and Kim Matula (Hope Logan Spencer) participated in the shoot. Popular Dutch actor Ferry Doedens (Lucas Sanders on local soap Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden) was on hand as well, playing a Forrester Creations' local public relations executive.

"While in the Netherlands for a Forrester Creations photo shoot, one couple finds love while another is falling apart," revealed executive producer and head writer, Bradley Bell.

At the moment, Hope is not over Liam but is staying married to his brother, Wyatt, after finding out she is pregnant with Wyatt's baby. Meanwhile, Liam is pining away for Hope but intrigued by Ivy, who really likes Liam but is wary of giving her heart to a man who wants another woman. It will be interesting to see how much has changed with this foursome by the time the Amsterdam scenes air next month.

"The action takes place over seven episodes," Bell explained.

Among the many other locations featured will be the exteriors of historic Hotel de L'Europe, a five-star luxury hotel overlooking the Amstel River in the heart of Amsterdam.

Scott Clifton faces Kim Matula and Darin Brooks.
"We are very excited about showcasing the beauty of Amsterdam during our shoot," Bell said.

Also spotted on the set was Darin Brooks' real-life fiancée, actress Kelly Kruger, who played chic and savvy Forrester publicist Eva during the recent Paris remote. In fact, that's where the happy couple became engaged.

The Bold and the Beautiful is a solid ratings performer in the Netherlands.

According to Marije Onderwaater, a communication adviser with the RTL 8 channel in the Netherlands, B&B has an "above average" market share for a daytime show, and has a very steady fan base, for which RTL makes it almost impossible to miss an episode. The show airs daily on RTL 8 (first run), RTL 4 (second run) and RTL Lounge (preview). It’s also possible to watch on RTL XL.

For the past nine years in a row, The Bold and the Beautiful has won the Golden Nymph award as the most-watched "telenovela/soap opera" in the world.

The B&B episodes filmed in Amsterdam will air in the U.S. during November on CBS. Viewers in the Netherlands will be able to watch in 2015.
