'Dueños del Paraíso' Premiere Set for January 13 on Telemundo

Telemundo's new super series Dueños del Paraíso will premiere on Tuesday, January 13 at 10 p.m. ET, marking the long awaited return to Spanish-language television of international actress Kate del Castillo.

Dueños del Paraíso is an original production of Telemundo Studios in collaboration with Televisión Nacional de Chile, written by Pablo Illanes (¿Dónde está Elisa?) and directed by Lilo Vilaplana (El Capo) and Nicolás Diblasi (Una Maid en Manhattan).

Filmed in Miami and Chile and set in the late 1970s, Dueños del Paraíso tells the story of Anastasia Cardona (Kate del Castillo), a woman without a trace of innocence and a past marked by poverty and violence. Fueled by ambition and a desire for deep revenge, she uses drug trafficking to become one of the most powerful women of her times.

Her thirst for power knows no boundaries, as Anastasia is capable of anything when it comes to targeting her victims and destroying her enemies. Unfortunately, at the end she only finds bitterness and the impossibility of true love.

Dueños del Paraíso features a stellar cast, including a special appearance from Oscar nominated Adriana Barraza, together with Jorge Zabaleta, José María Torre, Miguel Varoni, Tony Dalton, Ximena Duque, Alberto Jiménez, María Elena Swett, Tiago Correa, Guillermo Quintanilla, Sofía Lama, Géraldine Bazán, Juan Pablo Llano, Andrea López, Pepe Gámez, Gabriel Valenzuela, Ariel Texidó, Margarita Muñoz, María Luisa Flores, Yuly Ferreira, Ana Osorio, Jorge Hernández, Beatriz Monroy, Rachell Vallori, Alberto Mateo, Daniela Wong and Maxi Iglesias.

Dueños del Paraíso is executive produced by Joshua Mintz along with supervising producers David Posada and Gemma Lombardi.

Former child actor Justin Gocke died on September 8. He was 36. Justin Earle Gocke was born on January 31, 1978 in Los Angeles, California. Justin Gocke and Farrah Fawcett in The Burning Bed .
