'Days of our Lives' Casting Joey and Elijah (Theo?)

Days of our Lives is looking to cast a rebellious, 16-year-old hottie to play Joey, who struggles with resentment and abandonment issues. According to Soap Opera Digest, the role is contract. It looks like Steve and Kayla's son is getting a storyline.

Days is also casting the contract role of sweet Elijah, a "16-year-old, gorgeous, African American male" who is a high functioning autistic. Is Theo Carver (currently played by Terrell Ransom, Jr.) being be aged to 16? And what does this mean for Theo's best friend, Ciara Brady (Lauren Boles)?

Meanwhile, Lisa de Cazotte is out as co-executive producer of Days, according to Digest. She will be replaced by director/producer Albert Alarr. Janet Spellman-Rider has been upped to producer. The behind the scenes changes come after the recent hiring of Josh Griffith and Dena Higley as the soap's new head writers.

What the heck do you mean? This is my Mom's fav soap. And oh, by the way, take all that gay story line out of the story. It detracts from the rest of the story.

The constant bedtime scenes with Ben and Abby also detracts from the story. So is the elephant in the room with Eric and Serena.
