Paulson joins previously announced stars Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley and Chloƫ Sevigny.
Paulson has received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for American Horror Story and, among other awards, won the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries in 2011 for AHS: Asylum. Paulson starred as “Bette Tattler/Dot Tattler” in the most recent installment, Freak Show. Prior to that, she played “Cordelia Foxx” on AHS: Coven, “Lana Winters” on AHS: Asylum, and “Billie Dean Howard” on AHS: Murder House.
Paulson has also joined the cast of Ryan Murphy’s next anthology series for FX, American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson, as prosecutor Marcia Clark. She will appear in the feature films Carol, from Todd Hayes, and The Runner, starring Nicholas Cage.
Production of the 13-episode Hotel will begin in Los Angeles in late summer, and will air on FX in October. The American Horror Story franchise is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.
