'Hell on Wheels' Season 5 to Premiere July 18 on AMC

AMC's Western drama "Hell on Wheels" will return for the first half of its fifth and final season on Saturday, July 18 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Seven new episodes will air this summer, with the final seven episodes of the series following in 2016. Starring Anson Mount and Colm Meaney, "Hell on Wheels" examines the institutionalized greed and corruption behind the building of America's Transcontinental Railroad as loyalties are abandoned and the race between the Central Pacific and Union Pacific lines intensifies. "Hell on Wheels" opened up a new night of original programming for AMC on Saturdays - traditionally known as the most challenging night of the week for television - with the show's fourth season increasing the network's Saturday primetime average 121% in viewers in live+same day ratings. Season four of "Hell on Wheels" averaged 3.3 million viewers in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing.

Hulu Confirms 'The Mindy Project' as Latest Original Series

Hulu announced today that it has ordered season four - 26 new episodes - of the critically acclaimed series The Mindy Project. The series will join Hulu’s Original Programming slate in a new agreement with Universal Television. Hulu subscribers will be able to stream past and future episodes of The Mindy Project exclusively on Hulu. Since its network premiere in 2012, The Mindy Project has been a top show on Hulu and has consistently remained popular with Hulu subscribers. The CW Network presented its 2015-16 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at New York City Center in New York City. CBS 2015-2016 Scheduled Revealed

CBS today unveiled its 2015-2016 primetime lineup, featuring seven new shows and 22 returning series. CBS will build on a schedule that will finish the current season as America’s most-watched network in viewers for the 12th time in 13 years, including the last seven years straight. The new fall dramas are: the heart-pounding medical series CODE BLACK, set in the busiest, most notorious ER in the nation; the fast-paced LIMITLESS, based on the feature film with Bradley Cooper, starring Jake McDorman as an average guy who can suddenly access 100% of his brain capacity with a mysterious pill; and SUPERGIRL, starring Melissa Benoist in the title role based on the DC Comics superhero.

ABC 2015-2015 Schedule Revealed

ABC announced its 2015-16 slate of programming on Tuesday, including the addition of 10 new series. Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, unveiled the network’s new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. "Our new slate of shows continues the momentum from last year. ABC was the most buzzed about network, and the only major network to hold on to its audience and to grow in the target demo. Our 2015-16 schedule, with new shows and returning favorites that reflect our commitment to world-class storytelling, will solidify ABC’s place as the network that raises the bar for what viewers expect from broadcast television," said Lee. 'Queen of the South' Picked Up for 13 Episodes by USA

USA Network announced the 13-episode series pick-up of the drama Queen of the South , starring Alice Braga ( City of God ), a co-production from Fox 21 Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions (UCP). The series is based on the literary page-turner “La Reina Del Sur,” the top-selling novel by the internationally acclaimed author Arturo Pérez-Reverte, which also yielded a Telemundo series that became one of the most popular telenovelas of all time for USA’s sister network. The series is slated to premiere in 2016. Queen of the South will be executive produced by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller ("The Final Girls"), along with David Friendly ( Little Miss Sunshine , Big Mommas House ) and Pancho Mansfield ( Damien ). A showrunner will be announced shortly. The pilot is written by Fortin and Miller and directed by Charlotte Sieling. Fox 21 Television Studios developed and produced the pilot and will run lead on the co-production with UCP.

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Casts Rome Flynn as Zende Forrester Dominguez

Rome Flynn Drumline: A New Beat actor Rome Flynn has joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Zende Forrester Dominguez, TV Insider is reporting. Zende had been orphaned when both parents died of AIDS. Zende had lived at an orphanage with his younger brother, but sadly, his brother also died of the disease. To help pay his way, Zende worked around the orphanage and helped take care of the younger children. Kristen Forrester (Tracy Melchior) and her husband, Tony Dominguez (Paulo Benedeti), discovered when Zende became too old to live in the orphanage he would probably end up on the streets or working anywhere he could find work. Kristen and Tony legally adopted young Zende, choosing to give him both of their surnames. NBC 2015-2016 Schedule Revealed

As it closes in on its second consecutive season-long victory in the key adult 18-49 demographic, NBC unveils a new 2015-16 primetime schedule that combines popular returning series, edge-of-your-seat new dramas, inventive new comedies and season nine of the Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice.” NBC is on track to win the traditional September-to-May primetime season in adults 18-49 for the second year in a row after having gone the prior 10 years without an 18-49 win. Through 32 completed weeks of the season, NBC also ranks #1 or tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults and men 18-34 and men and women 18-49. In total viewers, NBC is running #2 for the season and within 7% of its year-ago Olympics-boosted average (8.8 million vs. 9.5 million), making this season and last NBC’s two top-scoring seasons in total viewers since 2006-07.

NBC Cancels 'State of Affairs'

NBC has canceled State of Affairs, the highly touted drama starring Katherine Heigl and Alfre Woodard. With a big marketing push, the drama opened to 8.6 million total viewers but the series ended its run with little fanfare, and only 4.5 million total viewers. In the series, Heigl played a CIA analyst who, faced with constant moral and political judgment calls, prioritizes the President's (Woodard) Daily Briefing.

'General Hospital' Legend Anthony Geary To Leave Soap This Summer

Anthony Geary Eight-time Emmy winner Anthony Geary has decided to leave ABC's General Hospital at the end of his current contract. Geary will continue shooting at the hit soap until late June and remain on air for a month or so after that, according to TV Insider . "I don't like that word 'retirement.'" Geary said. "It sounds like some guy sitting around the pool drinking Mai Tais until his heart gives out, and that's not me. I'm an actor, a showbiz kid. This year marks 50 years for me in this business—a half-century of professional work—and I am not about to bring that to an end. I will always act. I will always be looking for another project." 'The Royals' Reaches Record Audience Highs with All Key Demos

E!'s first original scripted series, "The Royals," delivered a record high 1.3M P18-49 (Sunday, May 3 at 10pm), an increase of +25% over the previous week in L3s. The episode also scores series high ratings among its core female audiences, including 1.1M F18-49 and 600K F18-34 in L3s, up +27% and +33% versus last week's episode respectfully. "The Royals" delivered 2.2M P2+ this week in L3s. The series remains the highest rated new original scripted series this year across all key demos in ad supported cable, excluding spinoffs. "The Royals" has two episodes remaining in its first season with the finale on Sunday, May 17 at 10pm. The fan favorite series has already been picked up for a second season and will return late 2015.

Josh Charles 'Masters of Sex' in a Major Guest-Starring Role

Emmy-nominated actor Josh Charles will recur in a season-long arc on the third season of MASTERS OF SEX, which premieres July 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. Starring Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Michael Sheen and Emmy nominee Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson, MASTERS OF SEX chronicles their unusual lives, romance and pop-culture trajectory. Masters and Johnson's research touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a mid-western teaching hospital in St. Louis to the cover of Time magazine. Best known to television audiences as Will Gardner on The Good Wife, Charles is set to play Daniel Logan, a self-made businessman working in the scent industry. C. Thomas Howell and Henry Rollins to Guest Star in ABC Family's New Procedural Drama 'Stitchers'

C. Thomas Howell ( Criminal Minds , Southland ) and Henry Rollins ( Sons of Anarchy ) will guest star in ABC Family's new procedural drama Stitchers . Howell will guest star in a recurring role as Daniel, a mysterious person Kirsten (series star Emma Ishta) knew long ago. Rollins will play Barbiero, a security expert who has worked with Maggie (series star Salli Richardson-Whitfield) in the past and is now pushed to extreme measures.
