AMC's Western drama "Hell on Wheels" will return for the first half of its fifth and final season on Saturday, July 18 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Seven new episodes will air this summer, with the final seven episodes of the series following in 2016.

"Hell on Wheels" opened up a new night of original programming for AMC on Saturdays - traditionally known as the most challenging night of the week for television - with the show's fourth season increasing the network's Saturday primetime average 121% in viewers in live+same day ratings. Season four of "Hell on Wheels" averaged 3.3 million viewers in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing.

Missi Pyle Joins 'Whole Day Down' For Season 2
Whole Day Down stars Missi Pyle, Patrick Breen and Steve Bloem. |
"She is hilarious and hard working," says co-creator Tai Fauci. "Her comedic timing on and off camera is absolute perfection. She was very willing to play, which is important for the show. We put her in a giant dog costume and had her make out with a busty ventriloquist dummy. She committed."
Nadine kept her affair with Patrick's best friend, Willie (Willie Garson, best know for playing Stanford on Sex and the City and Mozzie on White Collar), a secret, including the fact that he may be the real father of her son, leaving Patrick completely in the dark. But Patrick may have some secrets of his own. Will the truth come out before the apocalypse kills them all? Nothing is ever quite as it seems in the world of Whole Day Down, an irreverent, surrealist comedy which LA Weekly describes as “Mulholland Drive meets Arrested Development meets The Exorcist. A fascinating tapestry of story and symbolism that can be watched again and again.”

Devious Maids is set in a world where murder and mayhem collide in the mansions of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families. The series has centered on a close-knit group of maids, Marisol (Ana Ortiz), Rosie (Dania Ramírez), Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez), Valentina (Edy Ganem) and Zoila (Judy Reyes), who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic universe that engulfs their employers. Devious Maids also stars Daytime Emmy winner Susan Lucci (All My Children), Grant Show (Melrose Place), Rebecca Wisocky (The Mentalist), Tom Irwin (Grey’s Anatomy) and Drew Van Acker (Pretty Little Liars). Indie Series Award nominee Brianna Brown (General Hospital) and Brett Cullen (The Dark Knight Rises) make a return to the series this season, joining new cast members Naya Rivera (Glee), Gilles Marini (Switched at Birth), Cristián de la Fuente (Valiant Love), John O’Hurley (The Young and the Restless), Justina Machado (Six Feet Under), Nathan Owens (Days of our Lives) and Julie Claire (Web Therapy).

Season three picks up at the height of last year’s shocking cliffhanger where a deranged gunman takes aim at the maids during Rosie and Spence’s wedding, leaving everyone to wonder who will survive. In the wake of this tragedy, the women lean on each other like never before, even as they face complex problems in their own lives. Zoila ponders her next steps after discovering that she is pregnant and uncertain who the father may be. Carmen realizes there is more than meets the eye to the charming Sebastien (Gilles Marini).

The CW 2015-2016 Schedule Revealed
The CW Network presented its 2015-16 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at New York City Center in New York City. The indie-pop band Of Monsters and Men kicked off the presentation with a live performance of their latest single “Crystals,” and their international hit song “Little Talks.”
“This has been a terrific season for The CW, and is a result of a strategy we set in motion a few years ago to broaden out and grow our audience,” said Pedowitz. “We had our most watched season, and our highest-rated season among men, in seven years. We launched The CW’s most watched series ever with THE FLASH, and with THE FLASH and JANE THE VIRGIN, we received more critical acclaim than ever before.
“The CW is heading into next season with incredible stability and strength, and continuing its strategy of adding more original programming all year long. Our new fall series CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND is original and hilarious, and will work as a perfect companion for JANE on Monday nights, while at midseason we have the much-anticipated DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and the tense action of CONTAINMENT. These three new series are a terrific complement to our already strong schedule, and allow us to keep building on our momentum in 2015-16.”
The CW will launch its 2015-16 broadcast season in October, with premiere dates to be announced later.

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Casts Rome Flynn as Zende Forrester Dominguez
Rome Flynn |
Zende had been orphaned when both parents died of AIDS. Zende had lived at an orphanage with his younger brother, but sadly, his brother also died of the disease. To help pay his way, Zende worked around the orphanage and helped take care of the younger children. Kristen Forrester (Tracy Melchior) and her husband, Tony Dominguez (Paulo Benedeti), discovered when Zende became too old to live in the orphanage he would probably end up on the streets or working anywhere he could find work. Kristen and Tony legally adopted young Zende, choosing to give him both of their surnames.
[SPOILER ALERT]
Zende will return to the Forrester fold thanks to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Pam (Alley Mills), who want the young man to be an intern at Forrester Creations and learn the family business. Just one catch: Ridge and Pam don't want the other interns to know Zende is a Forrester. Among those also applying for an internship at the company is young firestarter Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards). When she and Zende meet, sparks fly.

Inspired by the biblical story, For The Love of Ruth follows the journey of Ruth Sommerling (Boutté), who, orphaned as a child and currently residing in a women’s shelter has lived a life filled with pain and disappointment.
In rapid succession, Ruth marries Nicholas Marachond, but a dreadful accident leaves her widowed. Refusing to abandon the new family ties she’s formed, Ruth develops a close bond with Naomi Marachond (Devine). As the matriarch of the Marachond family, Naomi introduces Ruth to the fullness that a life filled with faith and loyalty presents.
However, Naomi’s brother-in-law Stephen (Pickens Jr.) discourages this connection and voices his suspicion of Ruth’s intentions. Ultimately, the love she desired all her life is found in Naomi’s reclusive cousin, Braxton (Dourdan) who despite objections from others showers Ruth with an outpouring of love and kindness.

'General Hospital' Legend Anthony Geary To Leave Soap This Summer
Anthony Geary |
"I don't like that word 'retirement.'" Geary said. "It sounds like some guy sitting around the pool drinking Mai Tais until his heart gives out, and that's not me. I'm an actor, a showbiz kid. This year marks 50 years for me in this business—a half-century of professional work—and I am not about to bring that to an end. I will always act. I will always be looking for another project."
General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini said, "Tony recently made his intentions clear that he would vacate his role of Luke Spencer this year, and it was a decision he did not come to lightly. After 37 years on the air, Tony felt this was the right time to bid adieu to Luke Spencer, Port Charles and General Hospital. Anthony is our friend and a part of our television family, but, as difficult as this may be, we understand and respect that this is his choice. Rest assured, Tony has promised to be with us throughout the summer as we have some exciting things in store for Luke. The door will always remain open, so don’t think this is the last you’ll see of Anthony Geary or Luke Spencer."
