NBC Cancels 'State of Affairs'

NBC has canceled State of Affairs, the highly touted drama starring Katherine Heigl and Alfre Woodard.

With a big marketing push, the drama opened to 8.6 million total viewers but the series ended its run with little fanfare, and only 4.5 million total viewers.

In the series, Heigl played a CIA analyst who, faced with constant moral and political judgment calls, prioritizes the President's (Woodard) Daily Briefing.
