Lifetime Movie 'Online Abduction' Premieres Tonight, Stars David Chokachi, Brooke Butler, Natalia Livingston & Gina Holden

Online Abduction premieres October 31 on Lifetime.  Mark Hapka plays Gavin. Lifetime movie Online Abduction premieres Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. 'The Walking Dead' and 'Talking Dead' Renewed by AMC

AMC announced on Friday that it has renewed "The Walking Dead," the #1 show on television among adults 18-49 for the last three years, for a seventh season. In addition, AMC has renewed "Talking Dead," the live after-show hosted by Chris Hardwick that ranks in the top 10 across all television among adults 18-49, with new episodes to follow "The Walking Dead." The October 25th episode of "The Walking Dead" delivered 18.2 million viewers, 12 million adults 18-49 and 11.5 million adults 25-54 in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing - each growing compared to last season's corresponding episode #503. Last Sunday's "Talking Dead" was its highest-rated episode ever that was not a premiere or a finale, delivering 7.3 million viewers, 4.6 million adults 18-49 and 4.7 million adults 25-54 in live+3.

'25 Days of Christmas' Begins December 1on ABC Family

ABC Family's "25 Days of Christmas" returns with 25 continuous days of holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family. From December 1 - 25, viewers can ring in the holidays with holiday specials, classic holiday movies, and returning favorites. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016. This year, "25 Days of Christmas" will feature classic Jim Henson Christmas specials "The Bells of Fraggle Rock" and "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas," which have been remastered and are returning to television after several years. Additionally, December 13 features a marathon of Disney·Pixar's "Toy Story" films. McG's Wonderland Sound & Vision Inks Dead with ABC Family, ABC Studios and ABC Signature

ABC Family, ABC Studios and ABC Signature have inked a two-year deal with McG of Wonderland Sound & Vision. Under the deal, he will direct and develop scripted drama and comedy series and produce digital content for various platforms. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016. 'General Hospital' Adds Anthony Montgomery as Dr. Andre Maddox

Anthony Montgomery Soap Opera Digest is reporting that General Hospital has cast actor Anthony Montgomery in the role of Dr. Andre Maddox, a psychiatrist who takes over Anna's (Finola Hughes) case from Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). How soon before Dr. Maddox finds love in Port Charles? I'm sure we will find soon. Montgomery is slated to make his first appearance on November 6.

Ratings: 'Days of our Lives' Has Most-Watched Week Since March 2014

Days of our Lives has matched its top-rated week among women 18-49 in nine months and hit a 19-month high in total viewers. For the week of October 12-16, Days of our Lives (0.80 rating, 6 share among women 18-49, 0.46 rating among women 18-34) ranked #5 among network daytime series in the women 18-49 demographic and #6 in the women 18-34 race, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. In total viewers, Days ranked #8 with 2.647 million persons. It's the most-watched week for Days of our Lives since the week of March 3-7, 2014 (2.717 million viewers). Among women 18-49, Days earned its highest rating in five weeks (since the week of Sept. 7-11, 0.80) and equaled its high in nine months (since Jan. 12-16, 0.86). For a fourth week in a row, Days of our Lives grew week to week in women 18-49 rating (0.80 vs. a 0.73 for the week of Oct. 5-9 vs. a 0.69 for Sept. 28-Oct. 2 vs. a 0.68 for Sept. 21-25 vs. a 0.67 for Sept. 14-18). 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Scheduled for May 1, 2016

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that entries for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are now being accepted and that submissions are open in all 86 Daytime categories. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that a casting call has gone out for the recurring role of Ilsa. Ilsa is said to be a native of Sweeden (or perhaps Denmark or Switzerland) who was raised in the U.S. and has no accent. She is described as, "A genius child prodigy... Ilsa is pretty, but her passion for the nerdy cyber life/work has left her a tad socially awkward and a little quirky- However Ilsa will blossom.

'Days of our Lives' Casting New Roles

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Days of our Lives is casting a plethora of new, short-term roles that will begin taping in November. *  Mark  - a gorgeous, 17 or 18-year-old popular jock whose father is a strict judge, which makes Mark rebellious.  *  Hal  - a 38-45 gorgeous man who is the father of an 19-year old girl.  *  Clark  - a 38-46-year old who is described as a "hot bad boy."  *  Simone  - a beautiful hippie chick in her late 30s. The show is seeking someone who is African American, Hispanic or Asian for this recurring role.  *  Judge Avery  - a 50-to-55-year old judge who finds his property vandalized by teenagers.  *  Dr. Robinson  - a 40-to-50-year old psychiatrist, who will be either African American or Asian.

Last month, I revealed that a popular daytime star is not planning to renew his or her contract when it comes up for renewal in the next couple of months . This is going to be a bummer for his/her fans and the writing team of this show. Although I can't reveal the identity of this performer just yet, I can confirm that three actors commonly guessed were not the subject of the blind item: Billy Miller (Jason, General Hospital ), Jason Thompson (Patrick, General Hospital ) and Thorsten Kaye (Ridge, The Bold and the Beautiful ). Sequel to Disney Movie 'Descendants' Being Developed

Fan fervor for Disney's "Descendants" grows around the world, so now a sequel script has been commissioned from the movie's screenwriters, Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon, who will also serve as executive producers on the project, "Descendants 2" (working title). It was announced today by Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. "Descendants" is cable television's fifth highest-rated movie of all-time. Marsh said, "By almost every measure - domestically and globally - 'Descendants' has already become one of the biggest entertainment properties of the year, and we're eager to delve deeper into the unfolding mythology of Auradon and Isle of the Lost. 'Days of our Lives' Hits 16 Month High in Women 18-34

Days of our Lives delivered its top-rated week among women 18-34 in 16 months, averaging a 0.50 rating in that demographic for the week of October 5-9. It's the show's highest score in that category since June 2014, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. For the week, Days averaged a 0.73 rating, 6 share in the women 18-49 demographic and a 0.50 rating in the women 18-34 race, to rank #7 among network daytime series in women 18-49 and #3 in women 18-34. Week to week, Days of our Lives was up +6% in women 18-49 (0.73 vs. 0.69 for the week of September 28-October 2) and +35% in women 18-34 (0.50 vs. 0.37). Days of our Lives earned its highest women 18-49 rating since the week of September 7-11 (0.80) and scored its highest women 18-34 rating since June 2-6, 2014 (0.50). For a third week in a row, Days of our Lives grew week to week in women 18-49 rating (0.73 vs. a 0.69 for September 28-October 2 vs. a 0.68 for Sept. 2

'General Hospital' Casting New Role

Who needs a new man in her life? Soap Opera Digest is reporting that a casting call has gone out for a new contract role on GH . The character is described as "Caucasian, 32-37, very sexy, dynamic and charismatic. A bonafide leading man," and would begin shooting in late November. Marie Wilson Returning to Days of our Lives In New Role

This time around, Wilson will be playing Summer. If you recall, a  casting call went out for the role in mid-August. Summer is described as a "passionate loner who has been in and out of institutions." Look for Wilson to first air in early 2016. Wilson previously played Karen Wexler in Port Charles and Meg Snyder on As the World Turns . Her other credits include My Synthesized Life , The Bay , Criminal Minds and Workshop , the latter of which earned the actress an Indie Series Award nomination in 2012.
