EXCLUSIVE: Greg Vaughan Leaving 'Days of our Lives'

Throughout his career, Greg Vaughan has played memorable characters in film ( Poison Ivy , The New Seduction , Children of the Corn V ), primetime television ( Charmed , Beverly Hills 90210 ) and daytime drama ( General Hospital , The Young and the Restless ). The busy actor has wracked up an impressive list of credits, including his latest starring role for Hallmark in last night's world premiere of The Christmas Note . In 2012, Vaughan joined the cast of NBC daytime drama Days of our Lives as photojournalist-turned-priest Eric Brady. He now reveals to Serial Scoop that Days has elected to write out his popular character. The character of Eric Brady has led a very complicated life. He left Salem in 2000 (played then by Jensen Ackles) as a photographer and returned 12 years later as a priest (played by Vaughan).  In 2013, Eric dealt with the aftermath of being drugged and sexually assaulted by Kristen DiMera (

ABC Family Renews 'The Fosters' For Fourth Season

ABC Family today announced the fourth season pick-up of its hit original series "The Fosters." The critically acclaimed family drama will premiere all-new episodes from the third season on Monday, January 25, 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., EST/PST on ABC Family. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016. David Canary David Canary passed away of natural causes on November 16, at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, Connecticut. David Hoyt Canary was born on August 25, 1938 in Elwood, Indiana to the late Hillary Canary and Lorena Heal. Growing up in Massillon, Ohio, David played football for the famed Massillon Tigers of Washington High School before earning a football scholarship and playing varsity at the University of Cincinnati, graduating with a major in music. After turning down an offer to play professional football for the Denver Broncos in the first year of their existence, David took off for New York City to pursue his passion for acting. He was met with much success in theatre, doing summer stock, regional theatre, on and off Broadway productions, both musicals and straight plays. Jason Thompson Says Goodbye to 'General Hospital'

Jason Thompson Five-time Emmy nominated actor Jason Thompson has left the building. Thompson shot his final General Hospital scenes as Dr. Patrick Drake on Friday. Thompson reflected in an Instagram posting on Saturday. "Yesterday morning. Nov 20th. 5:55 am. It was my birthday and also my last day of playing Patrick Drake on GH after 10 years, "Thompson wrote. "It was a long, emotional, exhausting, thrilling at times overwhelming day, and I am so grateful for every one of those moments. Change can be exciting and scary all at once. Shake it up..see what comes out. Thank you for the Birthday wishes. Thank you for the well wishes. See you soon." Are you ready to say goodbye to Thompson and Dr. Patrick Drake? Will GH be the same without him? I'm not sure if GH could have done anything to keep him, but his departure will be a big loss to the show.

CBS’s daytime dramas – THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL – posted their best week of the season in both viewers and key women demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 15. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS averaged 5.02m, up +3% from last week and its largest weekly audience since the week ending April 10. In key women demographics, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS averaged 1.9/12 in women 25-54, up +6% from a week ago and best since the week ending July 24 and 1.3/09 in women 18-49, up +8% and best since the week ending July 31. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL averaged 3.70m, up +5% from last week and its largest weekly audience since the week ending Aug. 14. Among women 25-54, the daytime drama averaged 1.5/09, up +7% and 1.0/07 in women 18-49, up +11%, highest in both demos since the week ending July 24. THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 averaged 5.07m, its largest average weekly audience since the week ending April 10.
