Over the past couple of years the town of Oakdale has shrunk due to budget cuts, I presume. I miss the days of multiple sets. I couldn't be more tired of half of it's citizens living out of the Lakeview or Emma's farm! WHAT A BORE!

So, this prompts me to ask you all...
What sets do you like?
What sets do you dislike?
What sets do you miss seeing?
What new set(s) would you like to have created?

The one set I miss the most is .....

DUNCAN's CASTLE
especially, during the LILITH days when the tunnels behind the walls were used so much.

THEN during the first weeks of FAIRWINDS...especially when they used the little office stage left...

Lucinda's mansion...is part of it being used for Paul's Fairwinds?

Well if they are really keeping out in nature....why can't they HARVEST REAL CROPS on sight in ILLINOIS.

I like OldeTown...but why couldn't TPTB just called it Oakdale downtown?

I would even appreciate it MORE if whenever the cast is on the road...that they some how just stay on the same roads for various locals.

Where is this WALL that LILY rammed into when she was trying to run down CARLY? I think I want to put one of those flowery crosses up to mark the spot.

I'm with you on Ducan's castle, Flashy! What I also miss is Lisa's restaurant where Lyla used to perform. I forgot the name of the place. I liked it a lot, because you got to see a lot of the actors together much more than these days. Nowadays, it's only with Christmas etc.

You're right in the shrinking sets being buget reasons. Not only that, but there are more sholder and up close ups, so it seems like just a wall vs. a room would do!!

Outside the Snyder kitchen I'm not all that found of the sets that are constantly used.

I do miss A LOT!! Tom and Margo's living room w/ stone fireplace and stairway, Bob and Kim's house (kitchen, livingroom w/ entry and stairway), parts of the Mona Lisa (Daisy that's the rest. you were thinking off), the Walsh mansion's game room and pool set.

Though I think the one set I may miss the most is (like Flashy said) Duncan's castle. I'm fasinated with castles and would like to take a castle trip to the British Isle's.

Yet, like you mentioned benny what the sets lack the most are personal homes!
Ciao!

Thanks MrSnyder! That was the name of the restaurant. Does Lisa stil own the Mona Lisa?

I do miss a lot of the sets you mentioned. You tend to forget about it after a while.

I miss Al's dinner's original set, with the large booth in the middle and large window in the back. Now it's the size of one of those old school railroad style dinners with awful, awful wallpaper.

I liked 2nd version of the Java Underground set too. Not the first one, with the staircase leading up to a second level and the bar in the middle, but I guess when it turned over to Metro, and they put the bar up front. The set was huge at the time and looked like a really fun place to hang out. Now? It looks like my 12x11 living room.

I also watched some old clips that showed Java upstairs and it was not only a different layout, but it was also much bigger.

I have been trying to think of the name of the apartment complex that was two stories high I think. I remember Carly having a place there where she placed the candle in the window waiting for Jack to come back to her. I believe Denise used to have a place there too? I wish ATWT would reuse that set or at least build something new where those who live at the Lakeview like Chris, could have an apartment. Even Jack or Holden could have an apartment there rather than living at the farm. I remember the courtyard area used to be a place people would run into each other. I also loved Dr. Ben's apartment with the brick wall.

I am sick to death of the two room hospital set ATWT has. One room is where patients go and right across the hall is the locker room where Chris takes off his shirt. I wish it could feel more like a hospital. At least the old set had a nurses station and an elevator.

Barbara deserves to have a home of her own as do Bob and Kim. The old family holiday gatherings in their living room were very special.

Ahhh...the good old days. Being a fan of over 25 years and looking back at those years make me sad of how it is now. :-( P&G should just sell this show already to a company that cares.
