Paul's busily backhoeing his little heart out when Mike starts yelling at yim and ends up yanking Paul out of the backhoe, and then they start fighting and rolling around in the dust. Meg walks up and yells at them to stop and gets Mike to take them home. Once at Fairwinds, Paul yells at Mike to leave, and then he talks about how he can never be the man that Meg needs. Suddenly she feels the baby move and Paul insists that she go upstairs and rest... :sleeping

Down in the wine cellar, James has whipped a little lunch for Henry, some kind of blowfish which, if not correctly prepared, can kill you. :shutup Henry's a little nervous but finally agrees to eat. When James leaves, Henry gloats that the knife James brought with the food will be Henry's way out. However, Henry doesn't have any luck picking the lock, and instead ends up banging on a pipe with the knife...

When Derek comes to Metro to pick up Bonnie, Vienna asks him to make some calls and see where the gambling takes place. After all, he's a "thug" and should know... :lol Bonnie wants no part of this, but Derek makes some calls and ends up taking the gals to some trashy looking warehouse. He tells them he's going to check things out to make sure it's safe, and leaves... :hmm

Dallas and Margo find out that the evidence is missing, and that Jack was the last one to see it. So Margo calls Jack and asks him to come down to the station. Janet's worked up, worrying that this isn't going to bode well for Jack. She calls Brad. Brad's in the process of making love with Katie in the shower (not seen) and tells her not to worry, Jack gets called down to the station all the time.

Carly takes a form from Sage's school that needs both her and Jack's signature down to the police station and walks in on Margo asking Jack about the evidence, and Jack saying he doesn't really care what happens to Leo! :eek Margo says that's a problem, that the badge he's wearing means he's got to care... :rolleyes

Carly asks Jack what's going on and he throws up a wall, even when she says she wants to talk about what went on between them at the wedding... She has him sign the form and heads over to Brad and Katie's... :hmm

Meg's trying to sleep but hears Henry banging on the pipes and goes downstairs to tell Paul. She almost walks in on James, who tells Paul to remember that he needs James' help. Paul tells James to just give him some money instead of sending him on a wild goose chase, and James hands him a gold bar and says here, give this to your loan shark... then James slips out of the room...

By the time Meg has Paul up in her room listening for the loud noise, it's stopped, because James has gone to the winecellar and taken the knife from Henry.

Next time we see Paul, he's back at the project, looking at the gold bar and climbing back into the backhoe. :lol

Carly tells Brad and Katie that she knows something's wrong with Jack and that she thinks they know what it is, but of course they both deny it. But after she leaves, Katie tells Brad that it isn't right that they asked Jack to help them, and that if it comes out, both Brad AND Jack will go to prison.... :cuss

Meanwhile, Jack's gone to the diner, where Janet's working. She asks him if he wants to know what she did with the evidence and he says no, and tells her that he made Margo think he doesn't care about what happens to the guy who attacked Leo, and that it made him sick to his stomach. :cry Jack says he's got to leave, and Janet walks out after him, yelling at him not to second guess himself... Carly walks up just then, and follows Janet into Al's. She tells Janet that Jack lives by a very strict code, and that if Janet asks him to break that code, it will ruin their relationship. Janet asks Carly if that's what happened to Carly and Jack and Carly says yes, many times. Janet says that she and Jack are not Carly and Jack. But Carly says that Jack will never change in that respect. :heart

Jack's now at the farm drinking and Katie walks in. She's worried about Jack and tells him that Carly was at her house. Jack says, "she's everywhere today...." :shutup Katie apologizes for getting Jack involved, and Jack says yeah, but you knew you could depend on good old dependable Jack, right?

Margo's over at Brad's and says she wants to talk to Liberty. Brad says that Liberty's already told the police what happened. Margo says that there's a chance this could go to trial and that Liberty would have to testify. Brad says that's not going to happen, and Margo asks him what the heck is wrong with him. Brad says this is a family matter and shuts the door on Margo.

By now Bonnie and Vienna realize that Derek isn't on the up and up, and has locked them into the warehouse. Vienna says that it's pretty obvious that no card games are going on here, and Bonnie says that "my boyfriend is a thug!" :lol

In the wine cellar Derek tells James that the "ladies" are taken care of, and Henry tells James, "you promised not to hurt them!"

Mike comes to Fairwinds and tells Meg that all the backhoeing Paul did has done massive structural damage and the site has to be shut down! :eek Then we see the earth collapsing under Paul's feet at the project site.

Well, Meg and Paul are as :sleeping as ever together! I do :heart Paul in that backhoe.

Bonnie and Vienna were entertaining today. :lol :lol

I was wondering, shouldn't that evidence be in a computer someplace, as well in hard copy form? :huh

I was glad we got to see that carjack :kiss a couple more times today.

I don't know if they're finally going to get Carly and Jack back together again, but if they are, I'm glad to see they're going to do it this way. What I mean is, they'll get back together because they each know each other so well, inside and out, and they realize they're meant to be together. This is better than just a crisis bringing them back, it's more meaningful this way.

I agree, Ali. We're already seeing Carly showing how well she knows Jack, by the things she says to Janet and others. And we know that Jack realizes how special she still is to him. Now we need to see him realize how well she knows him, we need to see him, we need to see him get to know himself, we need both of them to take a deep look at how the two of them interact, and what they see each other doing together.. besides have hot sex. :devil :heart

I enjoyed the show even though I did a lot of :rolleyes at times.

Meg definitely needs more bedrest as she and Paul remain the most boring couple :sleeping :sleeping And Paul remains the biggest idiot in Oakdale :gaah :gaah

Don't you usually at least have to have a baby bump before you can feel a baby kick :huh Is Meg more than 2 months pregnant :huh

What structure was under the farm that Paul collapsed :huh Did he really reach China :huh Had James built a little village under there as opposed to just burying money :huh

I loved Henry and James :2thumbs It really looks like Trent and Anthony are enjoying it too.

I enjoyed Vienna and Bonnie today and that is a first in their scenes together :shutup

Brad is just scum and Katie isn't a whole lot better :cuss :cuss I can't believe that Brad is only concerned about himself in this, well yes that is Brad :cuss :cuss :cuss And while Katie had some concern, as Jack snarled at her, she should have known how he would feel. :devil Janet I hope you didn't unpack your bags because I think you'll be hitting the door soon :devil

Loved that both Jack and Carly had flashbacks to that kiss and that Jack didn't feel the need to tell Janet where he had been let alone about the kiss :devil Of course he wouldn't want to talk to Carly about it as that is his MO. He's scared now and needs to try to ignore those feelings. :shutup

I thought it was interesting that Sage brought up the idea of her parents marrying again and agreed with Carly it could never hapen. LOL that was as good as saying it will some day :cool

Thankfully Carly is on Jack's side in this mess as she isn't going to let up until she knows what is happening. She knows Jack far too well to see there is something very wrong and that it will destroy Jack. I'm loving the way they have finally let Carly mature some and hoping this leads Jack to some major self-realization. Brad should be very afraid. :devil

Oh, don't even get me started on that baby moving! :gaah And furthermore, when they do move early on, by that I mean, at the normal stage of the pregnancy, it is very rare that somebody can put their hand on the stomach and feel the movement. Only mom can at first... :pullhair

Who didn't know from the beginning that Derek was working for James? A 5th grader would have had this figured out by now. Not too swift, Paul. :smack

Carjack continue to be excellent. If they continue to have interaction like this, I can deal with them dragging the tar out of this reunion.

Well it certainly has got to be better than having to play against Roger Howarth all the time. :rofl :rofl :rofl

I would kill for a Henry/BarBar/James scene. Can Henry replace "Paul Ryan" and we get rid of this Paul?

LOL Scott I have to go along with you on that.

I'd enjoy Barbara thrown into the mix too. I wish we were seeing more of her in this story.
