Well, so far, Ethan's been pulled out of the hole, the sides have caved in and Paul's trapped down there. Babs and Meg are screaming at the "rescuers" and Babs even shoved one out of her way.... and still I'm ![]() Vienna and Bonnie found some cans of corn, creamed, whole kernel and corn pudding and a can opener. So after spitting out the corn and declaring it horrible, they've managed to find a hotplate and a pan and heated it up and now it's edible. ![]() Derek's let Henry loose, apparently under orders from James, and taken Henry to the warehouse, where he leaves him there to let the gals out. Henry rigs up a "bomb" with an empty soda can, a rag and gasoline, which he lights on fire after yelling to the gals to take cover. They do, the door blows open and they find Henry lying on the floor, unconscious. ![]() Derek pops up out of nowhere and says they've got to take Henry to the hospital. ![]() Aaron and Alison are back from their honeymoon and upset that nobody called them to let them know what was going on. ![]() Lily and Holden go with Ethan to the hospital so that he can get checked out. They call to the farm and Aaron and Ali go to the hospital. Of course, Chris is the doctor taking care of Ethan. :rolleyes He's started an IV containing a mild sedative, and says Ethan can go home in a few hours. But when Ali and Aaron are alone in the room with Ethan, Ali notices that Ethan's not breathing. Ali yells for chris, who takes care of the emergency. Apparently Ethan had some dirt lodged in his larynx. Ali and Aaron thank Chris for saving Ethan's life. Lily's at the farm giving Emma the good news and takes Faith to the hospital with her to see Ethan. Faith makes nice with Ethan. ![]() Derek's gotten Henry to the hospital and tells Bonnie that he's got to leave. He's sorry for everything, he really liked Bonnie, but he was under orders... Barbara drops Meg off at Fairwinds and tells her to get some sleep. (Didn't Meg just wake up from a night's sleep? ) So Babs goes back to the site and Meg sits on the couch. James appears and tells her that he's been in Fairwinds this entire time. He says that Meg is the only one who can get Paul out of the pit, and pulls out a contract of some kind... ![]() James tells Meg that he wants her baby, because he needs an heir. She tells him he's insane, and asks him, "what about Paul?" James says that he doesn't care about Paul, and asks Meg if she does... At the hospital, Henry tells Bonnie and James that James Stenbeck is behind all this. While everybody's up top worrying about how to get Paul out, and the pit keeps collapsing... down at the bottom, Derek suddenly pops up and tells Paul to come with him, there's a tunnel. James not only knew about it, he dug it.. Paul slugs Derek and just then the tunnel collapses entirely. The main rescue guy tells Barbara, "There's no way we can get him out. He's gone." ![]() Of course, we know Paul is safe, because we see him running into the living room at Fairwinds yelling for Meg, and saying that if James has hurt Meg, he'll kill James! OK, the show improved in the last 15 minutes or so, but before then, it was such a and a :freak For one thing, seeing Mike look at the rope that Paul tied to the backhoe and actually follow it to the pit and see it go down and not really change expressions... ![]() Previews show Dusty in a cage of some kind, well, cell, I guess, with curly hair and a beard. ![]() Alison jumping Aaron's bones saying she wants to make a baby. ![]() Lily in bed, telling Holden to "stay" ... ![]() |

I agree, Barb, the last 15 minutes were all that were worth watching. Too many stupid things and duh moments for Mike I do look forward to Dusty next week

For some reason, I'm at the point where Paul doesn't bother me as much as Meg. Paul is at least goofy and funny. Meg is just annoying. Honestly, I never did like the character of Meg, then when Marie W first started playing her, I did like Meg, but now, I'd like to push her in the hole and leave her there!

Barb, I was never a Meg fan, either. I've liked Marie Wilson better, but lately I just can't watch her. |

THAT BACKGROUND BIRD SOUNDTRACK..... I am currently watching the WEDNESDAY through FRIDAY episodes...and EVERY TIME that I have seen the OUTDOOR "TIMMIE in the WELL" above ground scenes...there has been this annoying repetitive BIRD SOUNDTRACK playing over and over and over again. It is not horrible but there are these cycles that keep seem to keep repeating themselves. Am I just hearing things...or have you all noticed this? |

Are you sure you're not hearing a bird outside your window? I don't remember any bird soundtrack in the shows, but that's not to say it wasn't there.

Well, we definitely have crickets here. My goal in life right now is to exterminate every last one of the noisy things.

My favorite scene from the Wed-Fri Marathon that I enjoyed last night...I did like ALL 3 days...and I almost was just NOT going to watch any of the tapes. So the best scene was Wednesday's dream sequence where JAMES was burning the rope that PAUL was using. This scene was well made...I liked the camera being right on PAUL's face...but I still cannot really figure out WHY it was even part of the show. Even though I enjoyed watching the 3 days....it also still felt like a big block of FILLER. FRIDAY's previews were exceptional !!!!! |

Paul doesn't bother me as much when he is in a non-romantic role which is why I usually can't stand his scenes with Meg because they ae supposed to be in love. I can enjoy him with Barbara and James. I too really liked Meg when Marie took over the role and now can't stand her. For me it happened after she was paired with Paul. This is now the 4th female on the show that I can't stand once they are paired with him. He just destroys them for some reason. There is way too much of both Meg and Paul on the show. I think a lot of this week sounds good with the exception of the big involvement of Meg and Paul in it. |

Okay, I've been reading here for a while and this is my first post, but what struck me was how clean Ethan was. I remember how filthy Jessica McClure was when they brought her out of the well (am I dating myself here? lol). How did he get dirt lodged in his throat when there was none on his face or his orange and WHITE shirt? lol

ccmac, I thought about that, too. Ethan looked mighty clean. By the way it was 21 years ago next month that Jessica McClure fell into that well. Remember how we were all glued to our TV's? Maybe that was the beginning of reality TV.
