Dusty's surprised to learn that he's not in Bangkok, and surprised to learn from Meg that Stenbeck brought her here, and probably brought Dusty there, too. Dusty had tracked Lucy and Johnny to Bangkok, and then was mugged in an alley there and the next thing he knew, he was in the cage. ![]() Paul's still going berserk at the police station, demanding that no other cases be worked on except finding Meg. :rolleyes Jack has to threaten to throw him in a cell before Paul agrees to go home. At Fairwinds, Jack tells Paul that they've really got nothing. They found Swan Island, but there's no house there that matches the one Paul "saw". There's also no evidence that James was actually in Fairwinds. Paul freaks again and Jack tosses him the bottle of pills that Babs left and tells him to "take the drugs!" Jack leaves, and Paul tosses down a few pills.... ![]() Holden, Lily and kids are enjoying lunch at the Diner and plan on spending the day together. Carly walks in and turns around and walks out as soon as she sees the little family. :rolleyes Lily immediately gets her back up and tells Holden that she can see he wants to talk to Carly, so go ahead... Holden does go after Carly and says that they're going to have to be civil to each other, and he wants things to be "normal". Carly wonders exactly what normal is... ![]() When Holden goes back to the diner, he has to convince Lily that he really does want to be with her and not Carly. Pretty soon, Holden and the kids are at home, but no Lily. She's over at Carly's...Lily tells Carly that she's not ready to forget what happened and tells Carly to keep her distance... Carly agrees. ![]() We were without cable for the second half of the first half of the show, so sorry about that... feel free to fill in the blanks. ![]() Next time I see James he's at Fairwinds and has apparently told Paul that Meg is with another man, because Paul didn't tell her the truth. Paul refuses to believe that, and says he's calling the police. James says to go ahead, that when he wants to disappear, he will, and nobody will see him... Paul goes ahead and starts making his call, but when he turns around, James is gone. ![]() Lily comes home and tells Holden she told Carly to stay out of their lives, and Carly agreed. Holden says he thinks Lily should have talked to him before she went to talk to Carly, and Lily immediately gets defensive. She starts comparing the way Holden felt after she slept with Dusty to the way she feels now about Carly and Holden... :rolleyes Lily tells Holden he has to forget about Carly because he wants to, not because she asks him to. Holden says he will, but will Lily believe him. Now Lily says, and I am serious... "You don't lie, Holden! If you tell me something, I'll believe it..." ![]() Jack comes over to Carly's and she tells him that "my best friend said she hates me"... she tells Jack about the conversation, and asks Jack why Holden gets a free pass and she's supposed to wear a Scarlet letter... she feels like she's lost more than Lily's friendship, she's lost her chance at a new life... She tells him that she often wishes she had been good enough for him, that he made her better when they were together. "It was exhausting, but..." ![]() Now Paul's alone, lying on the couch and the room seems to be spinning... he's mumbling incomprehensively and finds an article of Meg's clothing stuffed down behind the cushions of the couch.... ![]() Meg's turned on the lights in Dusty's room and is trying to get the cage open, without any luck. She tells Dusty that even if he gets out, she's afraid that they'll never get off the island... Dusty prefers taking his chances to being locked up. Just then they hear sounds, and Dusty tells Meg to get out of there, which she does. ![]() James walks in carrying a bag of groceries, etc. Meg says, "that took a long time" and I thought, yeah, from Maine to Oakdale in the time it takes most people to go to the grocery store... Anyway, Meg names off some things that she needs that James hasn't gotten and tells him he has to go back and get them.. NOW! James says he knows why Paul married her, it keeps Paul from having to think for himself. ![]() As soon as James leaves, Meg goes back to Dusty and says she'll get him out. He asks her if she has a key and she says no, but she watches tv. Dusty comments that things with Paul must not be very exciting. She gives one last blow to the lock and it's open... Dusty says he'll never make fun of tv again... ![]() Paul's having another vision and sees Meg standing on the beach with Dusty. He wakes up with a start, and groans no, no, James can't be right! So I guess James specifically mentioned Dusty to Paul earlier? ![]() I'm so happy Dusty's back, and Scott, you got your light today. Even Meg was easier to take today.

Can someone refresh my memory? Who supposedly killed Dusty? I remember he was found in the room dead, but for the life of me I can't remember what happened! (gettin' old!) |

I don't recall James actually telling Paul about a specific "other man" that Meg was allegedly with... Personally, I think Paul's seeing James was a delusion unless Oakdale somehow moved significantly closer to the East Coast. I liked Dusty and Meg's interactions a lot. Meg did not tell Dusty that she's pregnant, though, and that the baby is why James abducted her. Not sure why she left that part out though it made more sense to me after he was incredulous enough after she told him that she was Paul's wife I also liked Meg and James - she shows more spunk with him than nearly everyone else. Interesting!I hated Lily & Holden today and Lily and Carly. Or maybe I just hated Lily... I don't know. I'm having a hard time warming up to nuLily anyway. I liked Holden and Faith's talk He doesn't seem to setting her up with false hope, though she's young enough to take the mole hill and turn it into a mountain. Still, Holden seems to be genuinely trying to put his family back together again. Lily seemed to do a 180 to me. Wasn't she married at the time that she and Dusty fooled around? Shouldn't some of her anger that's aiming squarely at Carly be a little self-directed, too?I Jack and Carly today!!!!!Jack asking Paul if he'd taken the pills was so funny Evan Walsh the Younger "killed" Dusty. |

Anni, the previews show that Meg tells Dusty she's pregnant, we see him saying that nothing will happen to the baby "on my watch".

I thought the interaction between Jack and Paul regarding the pills was hysterical!! That was a good comedy schtick (sp?) for a show that has been lacking humor as of late. I have enjoyed Paul more in the past few days than ever because of his interactions with Jack. I suppose I should put it as enjoying Roger more than I ever have because he is with Michael! :-) I am actually happy that Dusty is back. We needed another guy back on the canvas and rather than bringing in a nobody, at least he has history. I expect Lucy and Johnny and perhaps Craig will find their way back to Oakdale eventually. That would be the only reasonable reason for having him return. His trist with Lily and relationship with Emily might also be a part of it, but I don't think either of those would have been a good enough reason to bring him back. I am loving every second of Jack and Carly being friends. It is so refreshing. Being a Mainer, I was wishing they would do a local shoot for this whole Stenbeck story up in Maine. Too much to wish for with budgets and all. I imagine the outside shots are in NY or NJ. Oh well... |

Yep James just planted the seed that Meg could be with another man but never mentioned Dusty I hope as this plays out we at least get an idea why James captured Dusty. I certainly hope it is something more than because it would make Paul jealous. I too liked Meg better with Dusty and even with James. Paul is the downer I also hope we get more of an explanation on how Dusty faked his death. It was terrific having him back Lily has some nerve Wonder how she is going to feel when Dusty isn't so dead after telling Holden he had to feel like Carly was as dead to him as Dusty was to her....hold on a minute, maybe not I was cracking up at Paul and Jack and was right there with Jack wanting Paul to take the damned pills! They do play well off each other.CarJack was wonderful again today Loved that Jack came over because he sensed that Carly was down And I especially liked hearing Carly say that Holden was not the great love of her life and then saying she had that once. Did my eyes deceive me or did we actually see Dallas for the 4th day in a row! With the exception of the fact there is no way James could have gotten between Oakdale and Maine that fast :rolleyes it was a good show. |

I liked the part when Meg is trying to pull Dusty out of the chair and Dusty says "I thought you were a compassionate nurse!" and Meg says "I'll give you a sponge bath afterwards come on!"

I loved Jack and Paul's interaction! Paul was especially funny talking to himself (and Jack) after he'd taken the pills.

hahahahah!! Today was a much better day. I'm really glad they went right into Dusty's explanation (which is still a little hard to digest, but whatever...). I was strapped for time so I only watched the Paul/James and Meg/Dusty scenes. Even though, with the exception of James, these are few of my least favorite characters, I'm enjoying this storyline so far. I hope they do not disappoint. |

One comment by Dusty had me . It was when he was telling Meg about faking his death and she asked him if him being pronounced dead and everything at the hospital after his "body" was found was a setup (And I wanted to say, "Uh, no, Meg, at that point he really WAS dead! ) and Dusty said, "Yeah. I told them that I'd never rat them out." and it was as if that was the only reason they did it, but of course, if they hadn't done it, there would have been nothing to rat out, so that was kind of :rolleyes :rolleyes but good for a ..

A good thing about every episode since MB has left....NoelleBeck seems to be morphing into and out of MarthaByrne. I think NB-LILY is more sexual...not necessarily a good thing....but with the way these storylines have transpired...NB-LILY has been easier for me to watch her "cheating" on HOLDEN when she has been with MIKE than when MB-LILY was cheating on HOLDEN with DUSTY. Now that DUSTY is almost back...I think I would have been happier watching DUSTY and NB-LILY. I think the easiest assumption with MEG and DUSTY being housed together is that JAMES want THEM to be together...to make a man out of PAUL some more. It has been difficult for me to determine WHY JAMES STENBECK has TRULY returned? I am ready for PAUL to be in a drug induced state....IF it just tones him down as it seemed to in THURSDAY's episode. Private eye JACK seems to have some power over PAUL....but I doubt we JACK LUSTERS would ever be truly given what we want. PAUL has hired JACK...so I hope that they just start working together MORE instead of bickering and covering someone's (meaning PAUL and his episodes). The one thing I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT???? JAMES STENBECK interacting with CarJACK....especially JACK. |

I'd like to see James with Jack, too, given their history particularly.

I wonder if Stenbeck wants Dusty hostage to get Craig somehow. I mean, Dusty's baby Johnny is really Craig's baby. And Johnny is Paul's nephew. I don't know. I can't for the life of me come up with a logical reason for Stenbeck having Dusty. Maybe to torment Craig by putting Meg with Dusty? Any ideas? |

I don't think Craig is a factor in this plan. I think the goal may be for James to finally make Paul a man or else push him over the edge for good. I think James thinks Paul is too weak and any child raised by him will also be too weak. James wants a grandchild that is worthy of him. I think he may be using Dusty to get Paul so jealous he finally becomes the man James wants him to be. He knows all the history and that Paul would be jealous of Dusty with Meg. |
