Brad makes a complete confession (off screen) and comes home to wait while they decide what to charge him with. Janet tells him that Katie didn't come home all night, and Brad's worried, until he finds out that Katie called WOAK and cancelled their morning shoot, and is in Chicago. Of course, he doesn't know she's with Mike. ![]() Meanwhile, Katie and Mike are waking up in the room in Chicago that WOAK keeps for their employees. Both of them are seriously hung over, and in no shape to get back to Oakdale. :rolleyes Katie gets busy trying to figure out what she's going to tell Brad... Bonnie talks Carly into helping her look for Derek. First thing, Carly calls Jack and Carly finds out that "Meg" texted Jack that she's someplace that sounds like "Madamoy Island". Jack's taking off to find Meg.On Farrow Island, Dusty and Meg are on the beach again. Apparently Meg couldn't get into the boat because it made her cramps start, but apparently she can climb a steep hill to a lighthouse that they've spotted. Not only that, she can climb the steep steps to get to the top of the lighthouse. Once there, surprise, they discover a hotplate and a box with stuff and food in it. So they can eat. Dusty choses to cook, as he says he remembers Meg's cooking skills. :rolleyes Meanwhile, Meg's checking out the light in the lighthouse, and there's a box with all the electrical stuff in it, so Meg grabs a fork and starts jabbing away. After all, as she tells Dusty, she's a farm girl. after awhile she jabs it with some other implement and pretty soon the light works and Dusty tells her she's a genius. All this time she's been dragging boxes around, etc but now just walking around a few steps gives her the cramps and she has to sit down and immediately falls asleep. Oh, and did I say that conveniently, there's a gun in the box. So with that, and the metal pipe Dusty found, they should be able to overpower James. ![]() Paul's gotten to the island and James finds him looking in the cottage for Meg. Paul's beyond hysterical and James plays into Paul's insecurities... it doesn't help when Paul smells Meg's perfume on a pillowcase and Jennifer's locket on the floor. So Paul knows that Meg and Dusty were there.... together.... James tells Paul to go find Dusty and Meg, and fight for his wife. Then James hands Paul a gun. Paul goes running down the beach yelling for Meg....Brad gets to the hotel in Chicago and is telling Katie that he made a confession when Mike comes out of the shower. Mike and Katie tell Brad that nothing happened, but he's hurt and angry and goes back to Oakdale. Katie gets into a cab and goes after him.Carly thinks she and Bonnie should go to the wine cellar, which is the last place Derek stayed for any length of time. Sure enough, they find Derek there, and unlock the door. He tells them about Stenbeck locking him up and why. They tell him about Madamoy Island and he says that's wrong, must be a setup. Carly tells Bonnie to call Dallas, and she goes off to find Jack. ![]() Katie's home and begs Brad not to throw away their marriage, she wants them to ge together forever. Brad resists at first, but finally gives in to Katie's charms. Then the phone rings. It's Dallas asking Brad to come to the station. Brad says he'll be right there. ![]() At the station, Dallas gives Brad a typed statement of Brad's verbal statement, and Brad signs it. Then Dallas tells Brad that no charges will be brought. Leo's parents have found out the complete extent of Leo's actions, and are not going to take things any further. Dallas admits that he did his best to influence them, but then he scolds Brad for being the cause of Jack quitting his job, and tells Brad to get anger management. Katie and Brad go home to live happily ever after. :rolleyes In the lighthouse, Dusty's as exhausted as Meg, and says he always thought she deserved somebody better than Paul. Meg looked like she had a seed of doubt in her mind... Then they both lie down to get some sleep, but first Dusty makes sure the gun he found is within reach.Paul's making his way up the stairs in the lighthouse... ![]() Jack's on Madamoy Island asking some guys there if they can give him a lift on their boat so he can see if he can see anything that looks suspicious. Little does he know that the guys are James' thugs. They go out on the water a little and Jack spots another island, probably Farrow Island, and tells the guys to take him there, but one of them garrots Jack from behind and throws his body into the water. ![]() That's what Carly sees, as she runs to the water's edge and screams Jack's name! Then she jumps into the water and swims out to Jack and drags him to shore. Jack wakes up briefly as the guys go bye in the boat, and pulls Carly to him, but then passes out... he's bleeding from a bad cut... and doesn't seem to be breathing! Paul reaches the top of the lighthouse and sees Meg and Dusty snuggled up sleeping. Paul holds his gun on them.... ![]() A mixed bag today, mostly good, I guess, at least in theory. Katie and Mike were really, really awful and did a lot to bring down the total gpa for the show. ![]() Also bad was the writing for Meg. ![]() And, are Emma and Janet the only two women in Oakdale who can cook? Apparently Margo, Katie and Meg are all no goes in the culinary department. ![]() |

Since ATWT has always been in north central Illinois...I have always considered ATWT a LOCAL SOAP. I do have to give TPTB some credit...most of the outdoor shots could have been filmed in Illinois...just due to the flatness. LAKE MICHIGAN could be the current WATERFRONT area....but there are not all that many islands in the Lake. Since PAUL's dream did an aerial view of the Eastern Coast....the whole timing business has just been very hard to deal with. Yeah...I can get passed this nuance... I agree with Barb's end of blog evaluations... MEG's writing is HORRIBLE. DEREK is such a prop. He could easily join the good guys and attempt to help out instead of just providing little tidbits of information. THE PREVIEWS for TUESDAY left nothing for the imagination. The JACK and CARLY business was very well done...but why ruin the suspense with the PREVIEW ? When is MIKE's last day?? WHAT a complete waste!! |
