Some of us were talking on another thread about the hint that might have been dropped on Friday's show re: who helped Dusty fake his death. When Lucinda said "He's not supposed to be here" or something to that effect, when Dusty appeared at Metro, bells and whistles went off in my head. She seems the most likely candidate to have set the whole thing up, although I'll have to watch the old footage of when Dusty was found "dead." Of course, we all know how easily history is re-written on this show. But Lucinda would certainly want to sock it to Craig, and find her grandchild Lucy. Helping Dusty could accomplish both. Also, this spoiler from SOD could back up this idea: "Lucinda pays the consequences for her actions" Another possibility is Barbara. She too wants her grandchild back--in this case, Johnny--and to stick it to Craig. |

Before Friday's show I'd been thinking that Barbara was the one who had helped Dusty, but I can see Lucinda in that role as well. The thing that gets me in all of this is that Evan Walsh was cast in the role of Dusty's killer, but now, Dusty's not dead. Of course, Evan wanted Dusty dead, so oh well, I guess.

I certainly agree now that it was Lucinda. I can't remember the details of the story at the time but could she have been motivated to get Lily away from Dusty as well? |

I think that's a strong possibility, Jaime.

Thanks!!!!!!!! Well, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised, or sorry, if Lucinda was involved. I was actually hoping Barbara would have been the co-conspirator, though, if only because she would have the resources and motivation to do so, too, AND it would have been a nice connection. If that makes sense... Actually, if Babs AND Lucinda both helped Dusty, all the better That would cause Margo's head to explode or something... ![]() I absolutely missed Lucinda's comment on Friday but the spoiler would certainly explain Lucinda's utter lack of shock at seeing a dead man walking. AND why she got between Lily and the door to follow Dusty. And now the fallout..... I hope the writers don't screw this up. |

I wonder if they intentionally downplayed Barbara's reaction to Dusty being alive to throw us off I had figured Lucinda until Barbara seemed more shocked that Dusty had been shot than that he was alive. I think that would have made a great story if she had helped him.I have a problem with Lucinda doing it. I could accept that she wanted to get Dusty away from Lily but I have a hard time with her reaction afterwards and seeing what it did to Lily and Holden. I also have a lot of questions then of how everything went down with Evan. I do hope we get more answers to this and what her incentive was. Perhpas she felt guilt that her granddaughter had kindapped Dusty's son? |

I think Barbara helped Dusty fake his death so that, he could go after Johnny. |

After watching today's show, I think you're right. I think Lucinda did help Dusty. |

Does anybody but me think that the door to having Barbara also involved in Dusty faking his death was left just a little bit open yesterday? Lucinda saying she didn't know about it until later on, made me think that they could somehow give Babs a role as well, either before or after Lucinda came into it...

It certainly had me wondering exactly who helped him with the designer drug and the antidote for it. I don't know how Babs could be behind that but you never know. I do hope that is something they address and not just overlook. I definitely picked up on the fact that Lucinda was not in on it from the beginning and had to wonder exactly when Dusty came to her for help and how that played into everything that happened with Evan.

I definitely thought the door was left open for Babs, or someone else, helping Dusty. He mentioned that Lucinda didn't come into it until after the fact. Where is Evan now, is he in jail? If so, he didn't really "murder" Dusty.

Karen, Evan is dead, I think, because either Lily or Lucinda jabbed him with the needle with the poison....
