S P O I L E R S I encapsulated these articles. The full articles are in the Oct. 14 issue. ....this week, the true Stenbeck heir learns he has inherited James's fortune. News of the financial windfall comes after Dusty is released from the police station and retires to the hotel with Emily...their romantic intentions are dashed when a Bible emblazoned with the Stenbeck family crest arrives with a note penned in Swedish. Dusty is indifferent to his Stenbeck ties but Emily has other ideas...[you all remember that Dusty is a TRUE Stenbeck, not James or Paul] Emily enlists Vienna to translate the letter and Dusty is summoned to the reading of James's will. [Grayson says:] "With reluctance, he goes to a screening of [a video of] Stenbeck announcing to everyone's astonishment, that Dusty is the recipient of the will...The inheritence is....dirty money...Paul is disappointed because he has financial needs that depend on receiving that money. So Meg comes to Dusty on the sly and asks if he can help out." As Dusty's wealth grows by leaps and bounds, Paul's sanity is slowly slipping away, but that won't stop Dusty from lending him a hand...Aside from bailing Paul out of fiscal ruin, what else does Dusty plan to do with his moolah? McCouch offers, "He's hoping to utilize more resources to find his son." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Alison makes a tough decision--she lets Aaron go *Lucinda pays the consequences for her actions *Jack and Janet's distance grows while Carly stands close by |

I hope and want the Dusty as rich Stenbeck heir to be a good storyline, but I just as much want this whole BS about the Snyder Farm to be over and done with. ![]() Thank goodness Ali lets Aaron go! ![]() Anything with Emily and Vienna together can't be too good, IMO...

Wow!!!! I'm LOVING this! And kudos to the writers for remembering at least this chunk of history, too. Emily and Meg are going to ruin my total enjoyment of this, though. UGH.I wonder how Barbara will deal with this - or if we'll even see her reaction. |

That's correct. They all know it but it hasn't been discussed in many years. I liked Grayson's thoughts on Dusty suddenly rolling in the dough. He sees many remotes in the Caribbean with a yacht named The Dustman

That is crazy. I totally had no idea. Was this revealed back when Brian Bloom was Dusty? I can't recall ever hearing about this while Grayson's been on. |

Here's a helpful link about Dusty's history: http://www.soapcentral.com/atwt/whoswho/dustin.php In a nutshell, his biological father, Gunnar St. Clair, was the REAL Stenbeck, not James. |

Thanks! Wow! Dusty and Paul & James really have a sordid past, I had no clue about this one. I wish this were delved into more. I've always kind of wanted Dusty and Paul to rekindle a friendship, I'm tired of them being enemies, and neither really have any other male friends. |

Well, when Dusty returned to town looking like Grayson and Paul as a good friend was IMO a history rewrite!! Paul's best friend growing up was Andrew Dixon. I'm surprised the true Stenbeck heir was remembered by the writers!! |

Dusty should use his new-found wealth to send Paul out of town! |

Well, Andy's not around and Paul is so why not? Dusty isn't exactly my favorite character anymore but I'm fine with him occupying space in Oakdale. |
