Dusty and Emily ended up in Dusty's room. What in the world was Emily wearing??? It looked like a black latex slip. Wasn't she wearing some kind of printed outfit when we saw her last? ![]() Anyway, Dusty and Emily talked, mostly about how they hurt each other (I'd say Emily was ahead in that area..) and about what had happened in their lives while Dusty was gone. Emily said that she'd been with Casey Hughes for awhile, and Dusty asked if "he was even old enough".. ![]() Dusty got a delivery. A package that contained a book... not in English, but in Swedish, about the Stenbecks. Dusty didn't have any interest in it, but Emily sure did. She started musing about how Dusty is the real Stenbeck heir. When she left, she sneaked the book out with her. ![]() Carly was planning a day of applepicking with Sage, who planned on picking 100 apples. They had a little mother/daughter talk first, though, after Sage asked if Jack could come and Carly said she thought he had plans with Janet that day. Sage said that if Carly wanted her to, she could help break up Jack and Janet. ![]() At Al's, Jack was trying to convince Janet to take off from work and come on a picnic and hike with him, but she couldn't. So Jack took off and Vienna and Janet had a little girl talk about how much Janet cared for Jack, and what she was prepared to do to make him happy. ![]() Next thing you know, Janet's at the police station, bringing Margo a lunch, and admitting that she was the one who destroyed the evidence, and that Jack had been thinking about returning it. Janet asked Margo to give Jack his job back. Margo said she couldn't so Janet left, but as she walked out the door, she turned and told Margo, "You said you were his friend..." Meg's been allowed to see Paul, who's tied in bed and thrashing around like a beached whale. He really wants to go home with Meg, so she goes to talk to Bob about it. While she's gone, Paul has a visitor, sort of... James. James tells Paul that if he wants to get released, he's got to stop acting insane. ![]() Bob agrees to let Paul go home, so a happy Paul is sitting on the couch at Fairwinds when Dusty walks in. Paul picks up a fireplace poker and tells Dusty to leave or he'd kill him with his bare hands. Dusty tells Paul he'd better settle down of they'd put him back in the nut house. ![]() Meg grabs Paul and tries to calm him down, but Paul is out of control. Dusty keeps making little comments that don't help Paul calm down, but are very funny. Meg asks Dusty to leave and he does.Jack finds Carly and Sage picking apples. Apparently they're picking them in one of Emma's orchards. So there's a nice little family time, and great carjack stuff with Carly telling Jack that he should try and get his job back, and Jack saying he doesn't want to talk about that. So instead they shared an apple and talked about temptation. It was pretty funny at one point because Carly had told Sage that Jack's afraid of spiders, and Sage got him on that... ![]() Later at the farm, Janet gets jealous seeing Carly with Jack, and she and Carly have an argument, and Carly storms out. Later, though, Carly comes back to apologize, and offers a peace offering, a spice container with cinnamon and something else, that the people "at the store" said was good for baking. Janet puts Carly to work ...Margo's done some thinking and asks Jack to come down to the station. There, she holds out his badge and offers him his job back. Jack's shocked and Margo says she got some new information that changes things.... Jack realizes the information came from Janet, and says he can't accept Margo's offer. Margo says please, I'll even be mean to you... but you know Jack. ![]() Jack goes straight to the farm and tells Janet she had no right to go behind his back with Margo. She tells Jack what she said to Margo, and Jack gets even redder in the face... poor Janet is crushed, she had such good intentions... ![]() Carly's standing there behind Janet and Jack's back making oops faces.... Jack races upstairs. Carly tells Janet that Jack will calm down, she's heard these words from Jack before. Janet says well, I'm not you, and takes off... Meanwhile, Margo's leaving message after message on Jack's cell, telling him it's an order...come back to work. ![]() Jack does come downstairs and asks Carly if she's happy, playing matchmaker and watching the drama unfold between him and Janet. Jack's still angry and taking it out on Carly, really... he says that much as he dislikes Janet meddling with his life, he likes Carly doing it even less... then he leaves... Meg and Paul are lying on their bed. Meg tells Paul that the doctor says she and the baby are fine, and she just wants to focus on that, and not on James. She tries to make Dusty see that James is behind this stuff with Dusty.... Meg leaves to call Barbara and James appears, holding a drink, no less. He continues to plague Paul and is planting the idea of killing Dusty in Paul's head... ![]() Emily's taken the book and the letter in it to the diner and had Vienna do some translating. Vienna is amazed to see that Dusty's family was royalty. The letter says that Dusty should contact a lawyer in Stockholm, immediately. Dusty doesn't want to, but Emily says he has to, there could be big money in it for him... ![]() Much as I hate Emily and Dusty together, I was kind of fascinated by the old book and the letter, and the Gunnar Stenbeck stuff... ![]() The parts with Carly, Jack, Janet and Margo were good, as well, and I really want Jack to accept Margo's offer. Or else get really busy with PI work, not just sit around... Sage was a cutie. And I still wonder about Emily's clothes. Later, she had on the printed top again... but that underneath part, holy cow! Paul, nuts as ever, and I'm already tired of James in spirit form. Also, Meg sure acts like she's carrying a torch for Dusty whenever she sees him, you can't really blame Paul for being insecure. ![]() |

I enjoyed the show today, especially the parts with Carly and Jack. ![]() I'm enjoying Dusty, but I really, really don't want him with Emily. BTW, Emily was wearing that printed jacket over her little spandex outfit. She took it off in the hotel room and when she left it was bugging me that she forgot it. Later she had it back on again. That was definitely quite the outfit. I noticed that Lily had a similar one on yesterday and she also removed her coat. I was thinking, "Only in Oakdale" since that would look ridiculous in the real world.I'm not loving this James/Paul stuff and I can't help but think that the scenes are very similar to a few months about when Meg was in that very psych ward having visions of Sophie. I swear that some of the lines were almost the same. I was thinking what a messed up couple Peg are.

I don't know what to think of Janet. I guess I don't mind her much, but I just don't want her with Jack. Carly was excellent today. Loved her and Sage, then her and Jack.Jack was great until his Snyder Pride got in the way. Again. :rolleyes If nothing else, he is very confused/confusing. Margo - I don't know. I guess I was kind of annoyed that she's so willing to bend some rules when it serves her but sticks to them otherwise. I know, I know... plot device... It's still annoying to me.I personally thought Paul was good today - he played 'crazy' rather well. James is always going to torture him. I absolutely HATE Emily. As much as I liked the book and the Stenbeck history stuff (and Dusty's role in it ), I think Emily and her transparent greed gave it all a bad aftertaste. All Emily will EVER think about is herself. She knows the Stenbeck history very well - all she's seeing right now is the money. And her outfit in the suite... Barb, you're right - Meg needs to stop lighting up like a Christmas tree every time she lays eyes on Dusty. Lucinda previews looked good for tomorrow

Anni, I think Margo's character is very badly written, or else I just plain don't like Margo. For a very long time now, all I get from her is self-righteous indignation, self-serving attitudes and actions and totally inappropriate responses to just about everything. Not to mention a good old dose of stickyournosewhereitdoesn'tbelong-itis.

I honestly didn't notice Meg being overly friendly with Dusty, only that her behavior was enough to arouse Paul's suspicions, given the state he's in. I think, or at least I hope that this thing with Meg and Dusty is more a figment of Paul's imagination than anything else. But what is it going to take to exorcise James from Paul's mind? I don't know if I want to know the answer..

It's not necessarily anything Meg DOES when Dusty's around, well, I guess it is, , I'm talking about the dopey expression she gets on her face, and how her body just kind of leans toward his... also, when Paul's around, and in the state he is, I would think she could stop herself from giving that big old nose crinkling grin when Dusty says some things... Not that she should let Paul dictate to her, but at this time, being discreet would be the way to go, IMO...

The CarJack stuff was great! Slow and steady will win that race! I am hopeful that Jack will start his own PI firm--maybe get Henry on board since he did some freelance stuff awhile back. As for Meg, this actress has the most natural smile and laugh. She never seems fake to me, and I know it must be hard to laugh genuinely as an actress. She does seem to enjoy the men :). Janet and Dusty would be a great match. I can't wait until they meet! |

"Janet and Dusty would be a great match." Wow, never thought of that one - actually, it would be a lot like having Rose back with Dusty. Good idea, let's see if they go with that. |

Doesn't she usually have that dopey, overly grin-ish expression on her face? I see what you mean. But I think she's purposely being written as a bit less than discreet (though completely innocent) in order to help feed into Paul's delusions. James is doing most of the work but they're having Meg "help" it along by not totally shutting out Dusty.

I think you must be right about the deliberateness part, I hope, anyway.
