She was the young Reva on GL. Not sure if you saw those scenes but they made a Reva movie and she was dressed exactly like Reva in her wedding scenes from the late 80s I remember (same dress). I'm glad this character is Josie and not LUCY. I don't want any more new characters but maybe she can be tied to some core family without us having to deal with Lucy and Johnny again. It also gives me hope my pipe dream of Dusty being Noah's father is more likely if Lucy/Johnny are discussed but not seen. |

Well we know they plan on dealing with the issue of Lucy and Johnny before the end of the year. That Goutman has already said. I'm wondering if Craig has sent Josie to distract Dusty? Craig could already have Johnny and be doing this to keep Dusty off his tail. Sorry Roger but I am definitely opposed to Dusty suddenly becoming Noah's father. He's already got one. And Cheri and Dusty met and didn't know each other. To me that is a history rewrite as we always complain about. I have no problem though with Dusty/Noah developing a father/son type of relationship without being related. That would make sense to me historically. Dusty recently mentioned that Gunnar is not his father despite him being his biological father. He considers Burke and John fathers to him. So I could see Dusty developing the type of relationship John and Dusty had. They don't need to make them blood related to do that. And I think it could be interesting. I think Grayson got more emotion out of Jake in his recent scene than what we see in a lot of them. |

Generally I agree with you, Judy, although for me, opposed is a strong word. I just think it is unnecessary and that given how Dusty was raised, it would be a nice nod to the character's history if he took on a parental role for Noah w/o actually being his bio dad. It would be intersting to see the interactions between Lily and Dusty, though, if they are parents to 2 kids who are dating/involved. |

I actually prefer the idea of Dusty being a father-figure to Noah. It seems to fit nicely with his history. I mean, take Johnny for example, who technically is Craig's son, but Dusty views Johnny as his son and cares a lot about him. The same could be said for Noah. He has taken under his wing a young boy who is alone in the world, and there to support him when Noah needs someone to talk to. I feel it also is a great play on history, considering Dusty was raised by John, who wasn't his biological father, but an adopted father figure/mentor in his life. I like Dusty taking that role with Noah and Johnny. It would be nice for Dusty to have a biological son, but honestly, it would be a huge rewrite of the storyline with Cheri and Winston to go back and make him Noah's biological daddy. If that's the direction they wanted to go, they should have written it originally that Dusty and Cheri knew each other from previous encounters. It wouldn't work now unfortunately. But wow, this Josie girl sure does look like Jennifer!  I am interested in Dusty and Barbara's reaction! And what did happen to Dani? I thought for sure they would pair her with Casey, since Chris left the show (and I thought the show would try to keep Aaron and Alison together). However, lately the scenes have involved Alison and Casey reigniting their friendship with each other, so I have to wonder if Alison and Casey are going to be getting together down the road- also, Casey and Alison are going to work with Luke and Noah to get Luke elected as Student Body President, if I'm not correct? Maybe the show has plans to pair Dani and Aaron together? That would be interesting... and Alison didn't take to kindly to Dani flirting with Chris, how would Alison react with Dani making a move on her ex-husband? It might further push Casey and Alison together. Lot's of storyline possibilities. I'm wondering how Josie and Dusty might work out. Dusty sure does have a lot of girls interested in him, and the show has been testing him with Emily, Lily, Meg, and now this newbie... I'll wait and see! |
