I am now of the belief that the purpose of the writers is to smoke out any remaining Carjack fans and completely turn them off FOREVER! This is getting ridiculous! I thought Carjack was supposed to be the endgame. If this is leading to the "endgame" is anyone going to be left to care???? It looks like the same old crap as when Jack was denying his feelings and going after Katie. Didn't we just go through this a little over a year ago? Unless I suffered a serious head injury over the last year, I can remember the KACK crap. I really like the character of Janet and was hoping Carly really had a true friend .... now that will be ruined because they'll have Carly scheme and lie to get Jack back, Jack will find out she lied, Jack will leave and everyone will hate Carly again. Rinse and Repeat! We are waiting for JACK to do the groveling ... are we ever going to get that????

While I think that is currently the way it appears, I think in the end this really is leading to the CarJack reunion. I don't believe there will be any Jack/Janet marriage. It was obvious today the proposal is not really what Jack wants based on his conversation with Holden. He never said he loves Janet. He's doing this because he and Carly decided they can't be and Liberty guilted him into it. Janet knows it's wrong too but she has become desperate that she is going to be that old lady so as much as she previously said she wouldn't settle, that's exactly what she is doing. I'm not sure who will call the wedding off but I sure hope it is Jack that comes to his senses and is the one to ask Carly for a chance. Even CBS is promoting this as CarJack with another promo this week. It's kind of funny because they juxtapose today's lame proposal against Jack proposing to Carly on Carly's Prize and after Sage was born, both very romantic and heartfelt proposals. I'm not happy this is the approach they decided to take and I think it's going to cost them a lot of viewers. I know quite a few people that turned off their TV's last week when these spoilers came out. I have a feeling before sweeps are over the tide will turn in favor of CarJack. In a recent SID that came out Michael said that "everybody knows Jack and Carly will end up together. Jack belongs with Carly, not Janet." I don't think he would be saying that if he thought Jack/Janet were seriously going to be paired. He said Janet will get her heart broken and basically asked the fans not to take out on Janet and Julie. Edited by Judy, Oct 22 2008, 02:31 PM.

Judy, I hope you are right. I agree though that this turning off some fans as I said in my earlier post. I also like Janet, just not with Jack. I had wished Carly and Janet could be friends. I just hope that it's Jack that comes to the realization that the marriage would be a mistake and goes to Carly instead of them having Carly screw it up. |
