Advanced Member Posts: 29,326 Group: Members Member #2 Joined: August 31, 2008	Janet seemed like she was about to tell Jack 'yes, I'll marry you' when she saw Carly standing and watching the proposal, so that was a big buzz kill. Janet stood by while Jack and Carly talked about what she was doing there and why she hadn't just walked away... Finally, Janet said, 'I'm still here!' and walked away. Carly escaped to Java, but Jack followed her and they sat down to clear the air. As usual, Carly turned into Miss Advice to Lovebirds and told Jack that he needed to give Janet some romance if he was going to propose... Out at the farm, Paul showed up to talk to Meg, but she had Holden run interference. Holden actually said some sensible things to Paul, and Paul said some things that made sense too, like everytime Holden told Paul not to worry about Dusty, Paul would ask Holden if that's how he acted when Dusty was after Lily. Dusty's in the process of leaving for NYC, and oh, yeah, dumping Emily. She starts inviting herself along to NYC and Dusty says he doesn't want her to come with him and oh yeah, their relationship isn't going anywhere, cause he can't get over Jennifer. Of course poor Emily is hurt but tries to cover, and Dusty leaves for the airport. Meanwhile, Paul's called Emily and told her to get over to Fairwinds, which she does and listens to Paul sounding like a maniac. She tells him that Dusty isn't after Meg, he's still in love with Jennifer, and that what Paul needs to do is everything that Meg wants to. She tells him to get some kind of mental health treatment, even if he has to fake it. (Sounds like Emily, right? ) After Jack leaves Carly at Java, Holden comes in and takes over the chair. To make a long story short, Holden tells Carly that if she wants Jack back,she needs to do something, and she had better not waste any time. That's all it takes to get Carly going... Janet's gone home and is moaning to Liberty about how she blew the chance to tell Jack yes. Liberty tells Janet not to give up.... at the same time, Jack's asking Margo if Carly's right about women needing romance even if they say they don't... first Margo tells him to be sure that he really wants to propose, and once they get that out of the way, she gives him the afternoon off and tells him to go and start sweeping Janet off her feet... Jack gets a room at The Lakeview, Room 206, and arranges a romantic time... he calls Janet and asks her to meet him there and to dress up, in case they decide to celebrate. Janet is thrilled, and goes to get dressed. Just as Janet's leaving the house to meet Jack, Carly shows up. Janet tells her it's not a good time, and tells her that she's meeting Jack and she thinks he's going to propose again. Carly acts like she's okay with it,but then asks Janet what's wrong with her face... Janet looks in the mirror and squeals, 'oh no! hives!' Apparently she gets them from stress, but hasn't had them in a long time. She tells Carly to leave, and Carly does, but of course, by this time she knows which Jack is in... Janet sends Liberty to the store to get an otc antihistamine, and takes double the dose. She calls Jack and says she's running late and asks him to wait. He laughs and tells her to take her time. Janet lays down on the couch and tries to calm down.... wait for it....yes, the antihistamine makes Janet fall asleep and Liberty can't wake her up. There's a knock at the door of room 206 and Jack opens the door to find Carly standing there. She asks him if she can come in. Carly is in full Carly mode, saying she brought some bubbly, etc, etc... Jack tells her to leave, but just then Liberty calls and tells Jack about Janet's hives and the antihistamines... she asks Jack if he can hang in there and he says sure, but when he hangs up he says that after he ran around setting everything up, Janet might not make it. A smiling Carly says that they shouldn't waste it.... Dusty's stopped at Emma's to make sure that Meg is okay and naturally she starts getting cramps and he ends up taking her to the hospital. Also at the hospital are Emily and Paul, and they see Dusty and Meg. Paul's ready to crack, but Emily tells him to calm down.... Of course, Emily herself is anything but calm, seeing Dusty there with Meg. Dusty takes Emily to the stairwell to talk and Paul walks into Meg's examining room.... On the stairwell, Emily is in a rant, comparing a pregnant Meg to a pregnant Jennifer, she says he might as well call this baby Johnny2 and adopt him.... Dusty tells her she doesn't know what she's talking about and walks away.... Meg's begging Paul to leave her alone if he really loves her, and he sadly walks out of the room... Emily and Paul are both such losers that I could see them together. Of course, we know how that turned out... On the other hand, Meg is pretty much of a loser herself.... Dusty, well, obviously the guy has issues, of course, if he didn't, he wouldn't be on a soap. Why does 'Holden' always look off to the side whenever he's talking to somebody?

Advanced Member Posts: 17,843 Group: Members Member #6 Joined: August 31, 2008	Signs he's just not that into you: In the middle of proposing he gets up and goes and talks to his ex and you have to remind him you're still here. When both you and his ex leave upset and head off in different directions and he goes after his ex I really enjoyed Carly today. If they are going to paint her as the bad guy then let her do exactly that! I loved her calling Jack on what he was doing sitting with her if he didn't want her around Who didn't see Janet falling asleep as soon as she decided to take the antihistamines I've seen the CarJack sneak peek for tomorrow and hope she sleeps a very long time. Did my ears deceive me or did Holden basically green light Carly's scheming to get Jack back Holden who had a problem with the scheme to get him a night alone with his wife I actually enjoyed the Holden/Carly scene now that they aren't trying to force romantic chemistry. I think the show made a real mistake trying to pair them romantically. They work as friends and that is much more interesting than the romantic stuff was. They could have created angst by Lily trying to think something was happening that wasn't but in the meantime not damaged the friendships. I liked Margo questioning Jack on the proposal but she backed off way too easy. I was thrilled that Dusty basically dumped Emiloon I sure hope he sticks to that. I still like his long hair but he needs to shave. I'm getting to the point where I wouldn't mind Paul and Emily together so much. I can't stand either of them and they are both psycho so they would make a good pair that I could FF. I did enjoy Holden/Paul. Again two guys that work better in non-romantic scenes. Janet is an idiot for still wanting to marry Jack and I have no sympathy for her.

Newbie Posts: 12 Group: Members Member #144 Joined: September 28, 2008	I loved the show today. But I wonder why Jack believes Carly has super powers. Did yu plan this indeed. Its not like he couldn't have just kept right on going and ignored Carlys presence. If I wanted to marry someone I sure wouldn't stop in the middle of proposing to go off chasing someone else. Go Carly go. I can't wait till tomorrows show. Jack didn't know what to say when Carly told them they weren't finished yet. Just try to stop Carly in all her glory.

I just wish that for once she wouldn't have to be the one scheming to get Jack back. I'd like it to be the other way around. I saw a bit of the end before I went back to the beginning to watch and saw that Janet had the hives and I was afraid that Carly had given her something to cause them. I didn't want her to be blamed for that, too, though she probably will be once Jack finds out that she was there visiting Janet. Boy, do Emily and Paul belong together, or what? You'd think that Holden would have stayed away from Carly since he and Lily are trying to work at their marriage. I kept expecting Lily to walk in and be pissed. I do enjoy Carly and Holden much more as friends, but it struck me as odd, really, since Holden never liked Carly's scheming in the past.

What's that old saying about cream rising? Well, in their case it could be changed to something like nuts falling. Yep, Judy, you heard right. Holden didn't just basically give the green light to Carly to scheme to get Jack, he practically pushed her out into traffic. And Karen, I kept waiting for Lily to walk in, too, and was sooooo glad they didn't go that way. Angelbelle, I hear you about Jack and the proposal, but I think that he really didn't have much of a choice about continuing, from the way Janet reacted to seeing Carly. When Dusty dumped Emily I did a happy dance, but I am also they don't put him with Meg. I so dislike that character.

Maura West & Van Hansis fan! Posts: 170 Group: Members Member #249 Joined: October 8, 2008	Those were some great scenes between Paul and Emily. I still think those two actors have great chemistry with each other. I've always said that I can always count on Paul and Emily to bring out the crazy in each other. Unlike Meg, who just brings out the obsession in Paul... I personally will take Crazy Paul over Obsessive/Stalker Paul any-day of the week... no Maul fan here, if you can tell. But some great scenes with Emily trying to ground Paul in some reality. Dusty and Emily definitely aren't over. But I'm glad she's been able to compose herself, and not being throwing endless fits and whimpering, and following Dusty around. I hope the show doesn't put him with Meg either. I'm not a fan of Meg paired with anyone. My girl Carly is back! I'm glad she has realized what she now wants and is going to put up a fight. I just don't want her to plot, manipulate, and backstab people, because we all know how that backfires always and get's Jack "holier-than-thou" angry at her. But I do think she's going to put up a good fight! Watch out Janet, your in for it. Hopefully Carly will finally get her family reunited. for this episode. I'd rather watch them in storylines being semi-normal than FF them in a loontastic redeux of a pairing they've done many, many times before. As undesirable as Emily is, I think she's always more tolerable when she's not in butterfly net territory... Paul too.
