While Janet and Liberty try to make Janet presentable to go to the Lakeview, Carly and Jack are eating raw oysters, drinking champagne and remembering the times Jack proposed to Carly. :shutup Oh yeah, and Carly also got Jack to practice his proposal to Janet with Carly. :lol :lol We need a smiley with a guy being dragged around by a ring in his nose. :devil

Janet never does get looking like she wants to, so she calls Jack and asks for a rain check until tomorrow. She's hoping he'll say he loves her, but he just tells her to feel better, which throws cold water on her happiness... Liberty's gone somewhere, so Janet is alone. For awhile... :cry

Brad and Spencer are supposed to be taping a show, but Brad can't stay focused because he and Katie are still having a fight.. :wacko

Katie's trying to explain to Margo why she had a jealous fit and accused Spencer of trying to poison her. :shutup

Katie eventually gets home and listens to Janet talk about the ill timed hives and how now the proposal isn't ever going to happen. Katie tells Janet to just go to the Lakeview no matter what she looks like. She tells Janet that Jack isn't like the other guys Janet's known.... :hmm Then Katie kind of listens to herself and decides she's going to go to WOAK and grab Brad and tell him she loves him. :clap

Liberty gets home with the magic cure for sadness and hives... Haagen Das... :biggrin

Carly and Jack are walking down memory lane. We get to see the proposal on Carly's Folly. Carly must have been hugely pregnant then, right? :lol Then we get to see Jack proposing to Carly in Montana right after Sage was born. :heart Just when you think Carly and Jack are going to "find their way back to each other", :devil Jack puts on the brakes and says that he just wanted to see how far Carly would go. :wacko Carly's hurt and angry, but opens up to Jack about how she really feels about him. She still loves him, and she was hoping they'd make love and ride off into the sunset together, figuratively speaking, and live happily ever after. :heart :cry

Jack tells Carly that he loves her, too, that loving her is a constant for him, but he can't live with her. She says she can't, either, but that the love is the important thing. She says they can go away and change, and find a way to make them work. Jack says he doesn't want to change and he doesn't want her to change, either. Tearfully Carly asks him, "What DO you want, Jack?" He answers, "I want Janet." :cry

Carly's heart is breaking, and she says oh sure, you want Janet...with her big lasagna and her big voice and her big heart.... is that enough for you? Why do you want her? And Jack answers that he wants Janet because she's as far from what Carly is as possible. :cry He says he wants peace and he thinks he can have that with Janet and he won't settle for anything less. :cry

Jack says that in the morning he'll have breakfast with Janet and propose to her... He says he won't change his mind, but Carly takes his face in her hands and says she sure wishes he would. :cry Then she leaves. They each stand sadly and then Jack heads out of the room...quickly... :hmm

Margo goes to WOAK to talk to Spencer about what Katie did. Spencer says that she still doesn't want to press charges, and Margo leaves, but not before making Spencer feel backed against a wall or something... she tells Brad that now Katie's got her sister stalking Spencer. :sliplid Of course it's just then that Katie comes in and grabs Brad for a :kiss .. she can tell he's not that into it, and asks what's wrong, and he says, "you just couldn't stop, could you..." :wacko

Brad and Katie have a full fledged fight at WOAK and Spencer stands by watching with a sneer on her face... :waiting Kim comes in and gets everybody back to work... :shutup Katie and Brad are supposed to be taking Oakdale Now, including cutting a pumpkin... of course they start arguing... :lol A furious Kim yells "cut!" and asks them if they know how much money they've wasted by their behavior. She tells them that as of now, she's yanking Oakdale now! :eek

Katie pleads with Kim to change her mind, but Kim won't do it. She says this hiatus will only be for a few weeks, and that she wants Brad to keep working 411 with Spencer. Katie runs off set, jealous and angry, and Kim walks away, too.... Spencer, looking like the cat who swallowed a canary, tells Brad she's soooo sorry.... :shutup

Katie storms over to the police station and tells Margo what Margo's made happen. :wacko Now Margo feels bad and hugs Katie... :hug

Liberty Louisa Ciccone and her mom are eating ice cream and having some mother/daughter time. :heart By the time the ice cream's done, Janet is feeling better, although fat... Liberty gives her some antihistamine, and then the doorbell rings. It's Jack! :eek Janet wants to hide... Liberty tells her she absolutely has to answer the door. In fact, Liberty pushes Janet to the door and orders her to open it... :lol :lol Jack's standing there and when he sees Janet, with calamine lotion all over her face, he just starts smiling real big and trying not to laugh. :shutup

When Jack hugs Janet, she smells the champagne and asks him if he's drunk. He says of course not, he just had some champagne... she asks if the proposal has been postponed but he tells her to close her eyes and imagine oysters and champagne and a white rose, and Jack with his :heart in his hands.... And then, Jack shows her the ring he's bought, and asks her to marry him, and she says yes! And they tell each other they love each other and :kiss....

Carly's drinking shots at a bar, because, as she told the bartender, she's lost her best friend, and drinks to a lost love... :cry

Wow! What a bittersweet day for carjackers! :heart :cry So well done, and I was very glad we weren't left over the weekend to wait for a resolvement on the proposal.

Margo continues to make me wish she'd get transferred to the North Pole or something. :smack

Never noticed until today that Katie is quite a bit larger than Janet, hadn't realized that, I've always thought of Katie as very petite... she is, but Janet must be even more petite. :eek

I wonder if there was anything in those oyster shells. Whenever I've eaten raw oysters, I always put a lot of sauce on them...

Yup, "Carjack Magic" is absolutely right. I went back in time and remembered each scene. I just wish things were different between them but today I realized that the might just never be. The kicker for me is that I actually really like Janet and I hate that because I'm a Carjacker at heart, always will be. Not really sure where they're taking this one, but I'm willing to wait it out with my fingers crossed!!

I know it won't happen right away [I bet their waiting for November sweeps to reunite the two], but I really wish that Carjack would find their way back to each other. Jack's a big dummy! Nothing in life is perfect, but at least he can count on Carly to love him unconditionally. Besides being the mother of his three children :smack ! Absolutely great Carjack scenes today though. I loved the memories and flashbacks. Even after a couple years of divorce, Carly and Jack can make that hot magic happen! :woot

Spencer/Brad/Katie.... :waiting I am unimpressed with this triangle. It's just so "typical" of a triangle. Evil girl tries to break up couple and get the guy for herself. Hasn't this story been told a million times on soaps before? I wish TIIC would have made use of Nell Mooney and the thirteen weeks they have to utilize her acting talents to at least make her character Spencer interesting. :waiting

Janet and Liberty are a cute mom/daughter duo! I mean, they have their differences... but I like that Liberty is playing defense for her mom Janet and being there for her through these times of self-doubt :clap ! I love the character Janet, I hope she wakes up and realizes it's not going to work, and breaks things off with Jack. I would love for her and Carly to remain friends, because their two birds of a feather in my opinion. There are guys elsewhere in Oakdale, and as long Janet stays out of Carjack's hair, I want her to remain a main character with a storyline on the show.

That is the key to making this all believable in have Carjack happy in the end. Janet needs to be the one to break it off realizing it's Carly he truly loves. I really don't think I can sit through another Carly schemes to get Jack. It's Jack's turn to realize he can't live without her and go after her FOR REAL this time.

All the Carjack scenes today showed how great it could be. So why the writers insist on giving us recycled stories, I don't know. I have no doubt CarJack will reunite and probably sooner rather than later but how much damage will be done again. I don't find Jack proposing to another woman at all interesting. And I still say Michael and Julie have a buddy chemistry and that is it. When you compare that to Michael and Maura it just falls flat and did big time today.

I've liked Janet but with this direction they have pretty much ruined that for me. I remember what she was like when she came to town and I'm not buying the miss perfect act now. As far as I'm concerned now both she and Liberty can leave town. Janet's a 40 year old that acts like a teenager.

The whole Katie/Brad/Spencer story has become beyond watchable for me. I had to just use the FF for it.

I think Janet is quite a bit bigger than Katie. I think it was just an odd camera angle today.

The previews for next week did nothing for me and I'm seriously considering taking the week off.

I'm not buying the whole Janet thing, either. :hmm Another thing I'm buying is the talk of Jack and Janet settling down and having kids, etc. When they got together, Jack just wanted a fun relationship, no strings. When he was with Katie, he didn't want kids, which was an issue between them. I also don't buy Katie pushing Janet and Jack together. It was just a year ago that she married Jack. There have to be some lingering feelings. :wink

Don't even mention Katie/Brad/Spencer. That storyline is a total FF for me. :lame I don't like Kim when she gets into that "tough" producer mode.

Oy. I saw the first half and was looking forward to watching the rest, but now I don't think I will finish it.

Instead of reminiscing through all the Carjack proposals, they should have taken Jack back through all of his failed, denial-ridden relationships. Perhaps that would have been more instructive for him. :waiting

When Jack said that he knew what he was doing with proposals, I started counting all the times that he's done it and he's right, he should know what he's doing (several times with Carly, the Julias, Katie). :shutup I was glad to hear him mention Julia and have Carly ask, "Which one? Julia #1 or Julia #2?" :biggrin

What a lovely walk down memory lane. Maura and Michael really were great today. I agree with the idea of Janet breaking things off. Maybe she'll catch Jack and Carly giving each other that "look" and she'll tell him once and for all that she deserves someone who really loves her--and only her. What keeps getting to me is that just a week or so ago, Jack was begging Carly to try again. In so little span of time, how he can jump from Carly's bed to a marriage proposal to Janet, I cannot understand! There is a lot of denial going on here.

And how can you tell a woman that loving her is like breathing, but hey, I'm gonna marry someone else? Is this fair to Janet? And Carly sure had him pegged when she was telling Jack that their little champagne and oyster feast was a test on Jack to see how far HE would go. And he's all about honesty these days with Janet, but failed to mention with WHOM he was drinking all the champagne meant for Janet.

I'm just totally frustrated! There better be a BIG payoff for all of us patient CarJack fans! And Janet, allow me to introduce you to....Dusty Donovan!

Well, it must have been a REALLY strange camera angle! :eek I agree, that Janet has really done a 180 since she came on. I like it, but it is really fast and so kind of hard to accept... :hmm

I just kept thinking yesterday that Janet was going to find about Carly and Jack's oyster fest before the proposal even happened, and when it didn't, I keep thinking that it will come out... probably from Carly's lips. :shutup

Friday was another great example of what an extremely weak man Jack has become. Jack isn't running to Janet he's running away from Carly. Maybe if characters didn't live in a bubble inside their own storyline someone would tell Jack that this pattern of behavior doesn't work. No matter what he loves and belongs with Carly. No matter what.

I agree that the best resolution to this 'triangle' is for Janet to step up and admit to herself that Jack doesn't love her and bow out. I don't want another reunion that's based on Carly's scheming to get what she wants. I don't understand why Lily and Holden can go through 34823109820 breakups but still find their way back to each other because they both know that they belong together and Carjack can't. I understand that Michael and Maura are at the top of their game when they are at odds but you don't have to be in a triangle to be at odds. A couple can still be at odds over something but still be together. Its called a relationship.
