Some people weren't happy with the carjack spoilers and vowed to not watch, so maybe that's some of it, too? Edited by Karen, Oct 25 2008, 08:43 AM.

Maura West & Van Hansis fan! Posts: 170 Group: Members Member #249 Joined: October 8, 2008	Honestly, I'm really bored with the Paul and Meg crap. I'm not interested in the adventures of Vienna, Henry, Katie, Brad, and Spencer either. Lily and Holden are great for putting me to sleep. They keep teasing us with a Carjack reunion, and then go: "Gotcha!" and it doesn't actually happen. The only story-lines that I am interested in right now: Emily/Dusty, Lucinda/Brian, Alison/Casey/Luke/Noah/Kevin are moving at a slow pace, or not on that often. The show isn't "must-see" television lately. They've also gotten rid of some good characters like Mike and Chris unfortunately too. I'm glad the ratings are down. TIIC need to reevaluate the show, get rid of what's bad, rework it, and make it into the program we all know and love. Until then, I hope the bad ratings keep coming. The producers and writers need to know the fans aren't happy. I also know my mother and two aunts that watch the show are angry that a boring couple like Lily/Holden are reunited, and Carjack isn't. I know a lot of people that are Carjackers and rooting for them... and from the posts I see online, that sentiment is pretty much reflected online as well. I seriously think TPTB need to realize that Carjack is one of those "realistic" couples that a lot of viewers connect with. They have great chemistry and are fun to watch. Advanced Member Posts: 17,843 Group: Members Member #6 Joined: August 31, 2008	I agree that what they are doing with CarJack is a factor and I expect it to get worse in the ratings before it gets better. A lot of people are thoroughly disgusted and tuning out. From the few people I do know that watch it but don't post online, they tend to be more interested in characters and couples that have been around for awhile. Heck I even know somebody that named their son Parker Joseph And I think this was one of the worst teases they did for CarJack and it has really turned a lot of people off. While Paul and Meg have their fans, they certainly have a lot of detractors too. And their story is very repetitive. I have yet to hear anyone who truly likes the Katie/Brad/Spencer story. I think at the beginning it was great to have Dusty back but sorry Drew a lot of people have a problem with Dusty/Emily after what she did to him or people are mad that they didn't stick with Emily/Casey. Most people I see are bored with Holden/Lily. So I don't see a lot of viewers happy with the big stories. Nuke has a lot of fans but one day a week isn't going to help bring in the viewers. I thought the story had potential until I hear the twist coming in it with Alison and Casey and am thoroughly disgusted. There's no real romance on the show. The only "happy" couple seen at all is Nuke and that's not often. Tom and Margo are happy but Tom has disappeared. Ali and Aaron were over before they started practically. Who else is there? I don't think the show is serious about Jack and Janet and they've kind of treated them like a joke. For awhile there it seemed like the show was really getting back on track and then something happened and it really lost focus. Hopefully something changes soon but I think sweeps are going to be very weak, especially when other shows go all out for sweeps and ATWT seems to have derailed at the moment.

I mean, it is weird given the point that she held him hostage and everything. I was a big Lusty fan myself, the first time. I like Spencer is an actress, especially on Greek, but Lusty 2.0 sucked for me. Justy was cute but I wasn't a fan. I myself, I liked Emasey a lot. They were one of the reasons I kept watching throughout the summer. The Liberty and Parker stuff made me a little ill. I didn't like the preteen sex stuff also I couldn't stand Holden and Carly and their affair. I thought I should watch another program for a while, but I stayed on to see what would happen between Emily and Casey, and then Lily and Mike, and hopefully some Nuke scenes (as sporadic as those were). I thought it was cool to do a switch-up, and have an older woman date a younger guy. They kind of killed the storyline. Honestly, they had a ton of material they could have dragged out if in regards to Tom/Margo/Emily/Casey, and they skipped out on a lot of that unfortunately during the Rick Decker storyline. I wouldn't necessarily say that I like the Dusty and Emily as a couple, but I am more a fan of both characters, and right now their in a storyline together, so I do tend to watch their scenes and not fast forward. I think that's what I meant by that. I never have bought the Dusty/Emily as a romantic pairing anyways. I saw theirs more as a friends with benefits and sexual attraction mostly. I like Emily as a bad girl, and I honestly prefer her with either Paul, Casey, or Craig. Am I the only one who sees the show heading towards a Casey/Alison pairing... I like them as friends so far, but those Stewart sisters sure do share their Hughes men. When it comes to Meg and Paul, I like Paul, but not with Meg. I just don't like the Meg character. She's so bossy and expects 100% of people romantically speaking, but never serves what she expects dished. The only time I began to like her was when the show had her paired with Craig, but I think that was more due to Scott Bryce, but they killed that... didn't they? I kind of just wished that Meg would be backburned... but I'll keep that opinion to myself, because I know she has her fans.

I liked Meg until she got paired with him. I definitely feel like they are heading to a Alison/Casey pairing and I think it could work. However having read spoilers for the week, I'm very unhappy with where their story is headed. Spoiler: click to toggle Ali will be kidnapped by Mark and friends and forced to take off her clothes and reenact a porn movie. Casey will find her in Old Town in only her underwear. He'll go after Mark for it and wind up in jail because he broke his parole. I find the whole thing with Ali to be offensive. I'm hoping the story for Dusty will get more interesting with the new direction that is headed.
