Spencer pops into the diner for breakfast, and sweet talks Henry. She seems to be making a little headway until Henry overhears her talking to a strange guy outside of the diner. Spencer's saying, "What's the holdup? She's been dead for over a month!" ![]() Katie and Brad are still giving each other the silent treatment, and both of them are miserable. Spencer's trying to take advantage of the situation and sets up a lunch for her and Brad. But....Janet's wanting to share the and hates to see Katie so miserable. She rushes over to WOAK and invites Brad to come to lunch with her and Jack. She's so cute about it that Brad just has to say yes. ![]() Katie goes down to the police station to cry on Margo's shoulder, but Margo's not there, so she uses Jack's shoulder instead. It ends up with Jack inviting her to come to lunch with him and Janet.Pretty soon, Janet pops into the station and she and Jack have to laugh when they realize that GMTA as far as trying to get Katie and Brad happy again. ![]() Over at The Lakeview, Henry's skulking around and sees both Katie and the stranger that Spencer was talking to, earlier. Henry's trying to tell Katie what he overheard, but she is really trying hard not to get involved. Brad shows up and he and Katie seem to be over being angry at each other and head into the dining room. The stranger leaves a box at the front desk for Spencer, and when Henry gets the chance, he picks it up and opens it. Inside is a music box. Of course Henry drops it and it breaks and Spencer walks in and starts yelling at him. He's trying to come up with a story, and Brad and Katie walk in to see what's going on. Spencer immediately starts blaming Katie for "being in on this" and although Katie denies it, Brad obviously doesn't believe her.Spencer says that the man Henry heard her talking to earlier is her brother, and the person who died is her grandmother. Henry apologizes but Spencer's not accepting it. Despite both Henry and Katie telling Brad that Katie is innocent this time, Brad turns his back on them and goes up to Spencer's room with her to see if he can repair the music box. ![]() Dusty's at the farm asking Meg how she is, why she didn't call him to take her home from the hospital, yadda yadda... she tells him he shouldn't be hanging around her, that she loves Paul and really wants him to get well. She tells Dusty that she's afraid that Paul is going to do something to hurt Dusty, and tells Dusty about how Paul tried to hire Derek to plant drugs on Dusty. Dusty just laughs that off, but Meg insists that Dusty needs to watch his back. At Fairwinds, Paul shows Emily a gun and says he's going to shoot Dusty with it! He's really talking crazy, and Emily tries to get him back to reality. She finally does seem to do that, and leaves. James appears and tells Paul that he's weak... The next time we see Paul, he's sitting in the lobby of the Lakeview, playing with that gun. A strange, rather exotic looking woman walks over to him and says, "whatever you're thinking about doing, don't do it..." ![]() Now we see Paul at Emily's office, giving her the gun to hide. He asks her if she thinks he's crazy, and she says not at this minute. Dusty walks in and says, "you two have been spending a lot of time together lately, should I be worried?" Paul launches into an apology that actually sounds genuine, and leaves. Once he's gone, Dusty mutters, "what a joke!" ![]() Later, Dusty finds Derek in Java, looking at the employment ads in the paper. He tries to pay Derek for not accepting Paul's job offer, but Derek won't take the money. Then Derek spots a guy who he says looks suspicious and has been in Java twice... and then left. He wonders if the guy's following Dusty... it ends up with Dusty offering Derek a job, and Derek takes it. Derek is going to be Meg's bodyguard. Derek goes to the farm and explains the deal to Meg, who really isn't for it, but goes along when Derek says that he really needs a job and the money. In a little bit, Paul shows up with flowers for Meg. He realizes that Derek is bodyguarding Meg, and is very calm about it when Derek tells him he can't see Meg. Paul asks Derek to give Meg the flowers. Paul also asks Derek to tell Meg that he loves her and is going to get help, so he can be there for her and the baby. ![]() Paul goes back to Fairwinds and has another "talk" with James. Paul tells James that this time James will be proud of him, because this time he knows exactly what he's doing... ![]() Dusty's sitting drinking at the bar at the Lakeview when the same exotic woman who talked to Paul approaches Dusty. She says that she's psychic, and that he's going about his "journey" in the wrong way, that he should be focusing on his wife. Dusty gets his back up and says that his wife is dead. The psychic says, well, then you're dead, too... ![]() Well, this psychic woman interests me. And I wonder what she told Paul. And what she'll tell Paul. ![]() Paul desperately needs a haircut. ![]() Meg sure doesn't act her age, lots of ways, but today it was her popping in and out behind that curtain listening to Paul and Derek. ![]() I don't understand why Brad is now such an upright kind of guy that he's mad at his wife, who he supposedly loves so much. Doesn't make sense that he'd take Spencer's side. ![]() I'm really glad Derek's around. ![]() |

I give you credit for actually watching the whole show I think I got through it in record time and my remote got a real workout.Paul definitely needs a haircut. I thought the psychic told him no to do what he was planning and so he decided not to kill Dusty. Was there more to it? I'm interested in the psychic with Dusty in hopes that he can get into a different story with less involvement of Emily/Paul/Meg Everything involving Spencer is too painful to watch. As if Henry would have done anything with that box in the middle of the Lakeview Brad also needs a haircut. My rating for today

Hopefully they won't waste Derek and they'll give him (and Bonnie) a decent storyline. Dusty, though, I'm bored with him. They need to lighten him up or getting him going somehow - just looking at him depresses me. And I like Dusty, I do, but right now, he's an FF for me. |

Well, they never actually showed the psychic telling Paul not to shoot Dusty. I can believe they may have taken a scene out? They just showed her walking up to him and saying that whatever he was thinking about doing, he should stop. Now, to me, that wouldn't seem like enough to get Paul to change his mind, but hey...

Today's show was full of FF material for me. The best part was seeing Derek back. I didn't actually hang around long enough to see the psychic. I'm with Judy. The Spencer/Katie/Brad/Henry stuff was so painful to watch and I FF through anything Paul and Emily related. |

That's a part I did see since it was a different person. Paul is psychic too remember so he probably knew what she was talking about.

Yeah, I perked up right away, too, when somebody different came onto the radar. You're probably right, Paul's psychicness probably just solarly connected to the woman's or something.

Dusty has dibs on the first place in line for a haircut. I'm not liking Dusty's attitude. Someone mentioned something today about it being hard to get a straight answer from him and that's right. He's always talking in riddles and in circles, trying to be cute. It's annoying. I know Paul is supposed to be the lunatic but Dusty has some obsession issues of his own. |

I wasn't happy with Dusty's attitude today, either, not so much with Paul's apology, as Paul is certifiable, but for the way he acted with Meg. Talk about domineering. And then to go ahead and hire Derek as a bodyguard for her... I know it's because he cares about her, but really, he's pretty overbearing. ![]() And this stuff about Jennifer now. Before he faked his death, he was supposedly so in love with Em, and now he's totally giving her the brushoff. I mean, I'm glad, but still...

This show was all over the place today. I forwarded every scene with Spencer, Henry, Brad, and Katie, and I didn't even have to watch to know it was going to blow up in Henry's face and make Katie look bad. This storyline is so predictable and boring. Sometimes I can't fathom how the writers can be so blatantly uncreative and predictable.I also forwarded Janet and Jack. While I like the characters, don't like them together as a couple, and I have no interest in their pairing at all. I'll watch their scenes separately, but not interested in Jack and Janet fawn all over each other when just a couple weeks ago Jack was on his hands and knees pleading with Carly to take him back. Dusty sure was annoying with Meg today. I liked Derek, definitely watched his scene! I liked the psychic, and how she approached Paul and Dusty. To me, this has Craig written all over it. I thought Dusty rocked his scenes with Emily, and I'm glad that the two made up and agreed to be friends. Hopefully Emily will keep a level head. I was surprised Paul kept his cool when he tried to see Meg, I'm so used to Paul exploding in anger and insanity over the drop of a pen lately!

Drew I agree the stuff with the psychic has Craig written all over it. I haven't seen any spoilers that indicate anything about it, but I just think it has to be him. It makes sense with Dusty. Let him think Jen is alive and that will distract Dusty from looking for Johnny. And my guess is Craig will already have Johnny. I just can't figure out the deal with Paul and the psychic. I would think Craig would want another shot with Meg but the advice actually helps Paul with Meg. I have a hard time believing that Craig is so in love with Meg that Craig would do it out of the goodness of his heart in order to make her happy.

I think he's acting downright obsessed with her. His behavior toward her is just really odd to me. It's not just protective, it's unnaturally Neanderthal. Seriously, can we blame Paul for thinking Dusty has designs on Meg? Dusty IS over the line.
That's exactly what I thought. He seemed to be over Jennifer enough to cavort around with Ali & Lily & Emily and supposedly fall in love with Emily. He's only "still not over Jennifer" now so he has some excuse to screw with Peg and string along Emily. |

Judy, you think that the psychic is trying to convince Dusty that Jennifer is alive? I wasn't getting that. I thought that when she said that if Jennifer is dead, Dusty is dead, too, she meant that Jennifer could be alive in Dusty's memories and he could go on with his life... Interesting... and I never thought of the Craig thingy, but that does make sense to me... especially since we've read the recasting stuff...

I do think the psychic is trying to convince Dusty that Jennifer is alive. I think one of her comments to him was "you were dead too." That part has me intrigued. For the record although I was a fan of Jennifer and Justy, I do not want them bringing Jennifer back from the dead. We know Dusty spent the night with her body after she died. I just wouldn't believe another back from the dead story. And the story surrounding her death was very well done so I would rather let that be. If Craig gets an impostor to distract Dusty, that's fine. Or if they want a tie to Jen, let it be her half-sister Carrie Crawford that we know exists and could just happen to look a lot like her. I htink it was a mistake to kill her character off but what's done is done so I would rather they let it be. |

Oh, ok, that makes sense then. I heard wrong. If they bring Jennifer back from the dead I think I'll have to totally FF anything to do with that. The imposter/distraction angle I could go with, although I am really just fork ready done with Jennifer/Dusty/Johnny by now.
