I expected ONE THING and ofcourse JP gives her tainted version of things.

When LUKE decided to run for PRESIDENT against KEVIN....I pictured ONE THING and I doubt I will even get a close storyline to what I was hoping for.

As much angst that truly exists in some factions of the population ESPECIALLY in the MIDWEST non-SUPER LARGE-METRO areas...where the bigger colleges are located....I was hoping for more homophobia being addressed in a political type setting....and hopefully with little violence.

INSTEAD we have ATTEMPTED RAPE.

ALCOHOLISM via CASEY.

A more level-headed KEVIN.

A LONELY SNYDER.

And a JEALOUS NOAH (jealous over WHAT??).

I enjoyed what tptb gave us....but not as much if I HAD WRITTEN some of the fluff.

My guess things will be over before we blink about 100 more times.

I didn't see alcoholism with Casey. Yes he drank too much but I don't think I've ever even seen Casey drink before to even indicate he could possibly be an alcoholic.

I like that Kevin is more levelheaded and seems to have matured.

I also didn't expect them to get into more political issues. I think that's best left out of soaps. And with politics everywhere I turn right now, that's about the last thing I want to see on a soap.

I think Marnie did a fantastic job with the scenes of Alison's attack. She made it seem very real and that made it much more uncomfortable to watch. I am outraged that JP felt the need to go this direction and to have Alison degraded and humiliated. The target audience of soaps is women 18-49 and does she really think this is what women want to see? I don't see how it benefited or was needed in the story. It was just unnecessary gratuitous violence against women. The way Margo handled it made it even worse. While she proclaimed later to Casey about how concerned she is about women being attacked she showed just the opposite with Alison and acted like it was no big deal. Margo acted like a bumbling idiot. Again why not show a stron woman in tis case? And I expect Alison will be over this attack in the next day or two with is JP's trademark. We've seen her do that with every other attack since she became the headwriter.

Tuesday's show was very good but what happened yesterday pretty much ruined the story for me.
