Judy, that was a very nice letter you wrote this week about Jack & Carly ... and the magazine featured it specially! :woot

And Scott, was that your letter about Sonny on GH? ITA with everything you said. :2thumbs I haven't watched GH in several years, but it sounds like the character hasn't changed at all.

Hahaha! That is awesome. Do you happen to have the text or a link to a copy of the letter? I want to see if they edited what I originally wrote.

Scott, here's what they printed:

They must be kid-ding

General Hospital is getting ridiculous. The uncreative writers decided that it was necessary to give Sonny yet another child? What is with GH's obsession with this washed-up character? If they wanted to spring a long-lost child onto the scene, Mac would have been a far better choice. There is absolutely nothing new and exciting about Sonny. He broods, he screams, quivers his lips and cries betrayal in the most inane arguments. This is the same Sonny I've seen since I started watching years ago. He has shown absolutely no character growth. The writers want to reward him by giving him yet another offspring? Sory, but if they want to keep me watching, they will need to get their heads out of the sand and actually write for a much more balanced canvas without obsessing over the precious mob.

Thanks Kara!! Here is the original. They only edited it down a little bit (highlighted in bold). Not that I think this would ever do anything, but this was just too much.

--------

General Hospital is getting ridiculous. On top of the years of sucking up airtime, the uncreative writers decided that it was entirely necessary to give Sonny yet another child? What is with GH's obsession with this washed up character? If they wanted to spring a long-lost child onto the scene, Mac would have been a far better choice. The guy hasn't had a storyline since, well, I can't even count that far back. There is absolutely nothing new and exciting with this character. He broods, he screams, he quivers his lips and he cries betrayal at the most inane arguments. This is the same Sonny I've seen since I started watching all those years ago. He has shown absolutely no character growth, so the writers want to reward Sonny by giving him yet another offspring that he will undoubtedly cast aside in the name of "business"? Sorry, but if they want to keep me watching, they will need to get their heads out of the sand and actually write for a much more balanced canvas without obsessing over the precious mob.

Scott, the magazine definitely should have left in the line about "sucking up airtime" ... it's so true!

Drew, if Judy doesn't see your request, I'll post her letter when I get home from work tonight. But that's probably going to be super-late, because it's election night & I work in a TV newsroom. We won't be getting out of here until it's all over. :lol

Great letter Judy! You totally hit the nail on the head! Carjackers have waited way to long for a Carjack reunion- especially compared to the amount of times Holden and Lily break up, only to have an insta-reunion a short spat later. Ugh! Lol!

I hope that someone working for ATWT sees you're letter and reads it. The show needs to get that almost every one of their fan-bases is unhappy- even their most popular ones. Reunite Carly and Jack, for good. JJ, Parker, and Sage deserve a happy family (and maybe another brother or sister :rofl ).
