The election for student body president is taking place, and Kevin seems like a guaranteed winner, especially since he's promising free beer to anybody who votes for him. :smack When Luke finds out, he's furious and is very tempted when another student says he can print off ballots and they can fill them out and stuff the ballot box.

Casey, after a mean guitar hero session, and a not so fun talk with Margo, meets up with Luke and Noah. Alison's there, too. Casey thinks stuffing the ballot box would be great, while Alison says it's wrong, and they can't do it... Noah is horrified that Luke's even considering it, and can't believe it when Luke quotes the colonel, saying the end justifies the means. :shutup

Kim listens to Spencer's version of what happened in Chicago. She can't believe that Brad would cheat on Katie, and tells Spencer to go home and rest and she'll handle it.

Meanwhile, Katie tells Brad he's got to talk to Kim. Kim calls and says she needs to talk to Brad about what happened in Chicago and Brad says he'll be right down. At the station, he can't believe that Spencer's turning the situation back on him. Kim is angry and tells Brad that he's going to have to promise to stay away from Spencer while they're outside the station, and in the station, he must never be alone with her. Or else she'll have to fire him, because she can't afford a law suit.

Brad agrees, but heads straight over to Spencer's hotel room. :pullhair Spencer opens the door and he pushes his way into her room, angry at her lies. Spencer manipulates the situation, as usual, and there's lots of yelling and shoving. Brad wants her to come to WOAK and tell Kim the truth, and when Spencer refuses, they struggle again and Spencer's dress gets ripped. Standing in the doorway, Brad threatens Spencer, saying she'd "better make this right!" Then he leaves... Spencer, looking insanely pleased, picks up the phone... :hmm

Katie hasn't wasted any time going to the police station and gloating to Margo about how she was right along about Spencer. Katie is just beside herself with glee, and even tries to talk Margo into arresting Spencer. :gaah Unfortunately, Margo gets a call from Spencer. Katie has Margo put it on speaker, and they listen as Spencer says that Brad forced his way into her room and attacked her! :eek Margo says she'll be right there, and Katie goes to find Brad.

When Katie finds Brad at WOAK, he tells her what happened, and Katie is shocked and furious. She warns him that he could be in big trouble. She says that "you're not going to have Jack or me to help you this time!" :smack Kim hears them and angrily tells Brad that he's fired!

Luke emotionally tells Noah that this whole election process, the nastiness of it, brings back feelings he's had of having to be ashamed of being gay, of being made fun of, and he can't take it anymore. Noah tells Luke not to change from the person that Noah loves, and Noah leaves. Just then, the kid who made the extra ballots rushes up to Luke and tells him that "you've got to see this!" They go and see Kevin and his crew celebrating prematurely, and obnoxiously... the other kid says there's still time to stuff the ballot box, and Luke tells him to go ahead. :smack On the way, though, the kid runs into Casey and tells him what he's going to do. Casey says, "let me do it, what can they do, suspend me?" :gaah :gaah

As Kevin is giving kind of an unofficial acceptance speech, his campaign manager walks in with a long face.... he tells Kevin, "You've got to see this!" and hands Kevin his laptop... Luke's winning! :eek

At Al's, Luke and his posse learn that he won, and the party begins. Only Luke, Casey and the ballot stuffer know that the ballot box was stuffed. Luke looks happy and unhappy at the same time... He glances up to see a sad faced Noah standing outside looking in... :cry

Brad's taken off after Kim fired him, and nobody knows where he is. Margo shows up and tells Katie that Spencer is filing charges!

Brad's at a bar getting ready to drown his sorrows when his phone rings. It's Spencer, who says that she wants to apologize for what she did. She doesn't know what got into her... she wants to meet with him... Brad says ok, but it has to be in public. Spencer tells him to meet her in the Lakeview lobby...

Katie and Margo are at Katie's, and Katie is just talking Brad into an even deeper hole, saying that once he reaches his boiling point, there's no telling what he'll do... :waiting

Meanwhile, Brad gets to the Lakeview, but no Spencer. He calls her but nobody answers, so he goes up to her room. The door's open and he walks inside. Spencer's sprawled motionless on the bed. :smack

Casey must have impulse control problems or something! :pullhair How can he just keep on doing one stupid thing after the other, despite so many people giving him good advice, he just moves from one screwup to the next. :smack Sure, he's got a good :heart, but....

Luke's talk to Noah was very well done, really the first time in awhile that we've seen Luke's deeper feelings, and Noah's response was right on, as well. :2thumbs I just wish that Luke hadn't given in to his feelings this time. :cry

Katie came across as such a stupid, self-centered fool today. :gaah Margo wasn't much better, letting Katie listen in on Spencer's call. :rolleyes

Previews look bad for Brad, as Margo arrests him.
:waiting

The Spencer story is just horrible. I think it's worse than Paul/Meg/Sofie. She has just been on the show a month and in that time she's fallen love with Brad, tried to seduce him, lied to Kim, got him fired and now she's dead? Who the heck cares about Spencer? And the story is so lame, there is no relating to any of it.

In contrast, Van was just superb today conveying Luke's emotions and feelings. Even though I don't agree with what Luke did, like Maura always does with Carly, he made it believeable. It was easy to relate to his explanation of feeling like an outsider and why it was so important to him.

I thought Jake was great too as Noah today.

I really like Casey and Ali and I'm glad they're part of the story.

I thought that the Noah/Alison/Casey/Luke story-line was the best of today.

Luke made a bad choice cheating. This is going to come back and bite him and Casey in the butt. :gaah

Poor Noah, he sure looked dissapointed in Luke. :sad

I can't comment on the Spencer story-line. I'm forwarding every scene. I won't watch the mess that is Kim/Spencer/Katie/Brad. Nope! Can't do it! :smile

I can't help but hope that Casey didn't stuff the ballot box when he took those ballots from that other guy. Maybe he thought about it and decided that Allison was right. Wouldn't it be great to learn that Luke won the election fairly and squarely?

While it would be nice to learn that Luke won the election fairly, I think the odds on that are slim to none :lol I did like that they gave us more insight into Luke's reasoning and agree that Van was very good today :2thumbs

I was glad that Ali apparently didn't know of the vote fraud when she celebrated as that isn't anything to celebrate. I also thought Marnie's haircut looks terrific!

Knowing Nell's contract is for 13 weeks I highly doubt this is the last we have seen of Spencer unless she has a twin sister show up :hmm The only good part about this story was seeing a slightly more serious side to Brad. I'm just so tired of the goofball.
