Jack shows up at Carly's to pick up Sage for some father/daughter bonding while riding horses. While Sage waits in the car, Jack tells Carly that maybe if she apologized to Janet for the little arguement they had the other day, it would help... Carly smiles sweetly and says sure, but once Jack leaves, Carly mutters, "When there are pigs in the treetops...." :devil

Meanwhile, Janet's agonizing to Liberty about whether or not she was a good mom to Liberty, and what she can do to win over Sage. :rolleyes Liberty isn't paying too much attention, she's getting ready to take a couple of bags of food down to Al's for some kind of V8 Food Drive.... but she reassures Janet that she's a great mom and maybe some homemade peanutbutter/chocolate brownies would help with Sage... :hmm

At the mall in Old Town, Casey's getting ready to give Alison a skateboarding lesson. (Isn't there some kind of law against doing that in public places like malls? :huh ) Anyway, Kevin walks up and says that Casey should tell Luke not to get too comfortable in the presidence, because Kevin's asked for an investigation! Casey is definitely uneasy, and admits to Alison that he helped Luke stuff the ballot box. He tries to excuse what they did, but all it gets him from Alison is an angry, "Grow the hell up!" :2thumbs

Luke's at Java trying to explain to Noah why he did what he did, and to get Noah on the same page. Noah's not buying it, though, and when Luke says that Lily wants to take the two of them out to dinner that night, Noah says he won't go. :hmm

Janet shows up at the farm with her famous brownies... Jack's glad to see her, but Sage isn't, and Janet's ready to leave when Jack gets a call from the station and has to go in for awhile. Janet offers to babysit Sage, and Jack takes her up on the offer, against Sage's objections. As soon as Jack leaves, Janet tries to gt Sage interested in doing something, but Sage keeps saying no until Janet suggests board games. Sage says ok, they're in the closet up on a high shelf. So Janet goes into the closet and Sage locks her in! :smack Sage says she won't let Janet out until Janet promises whe won't marry Jack and Janet says that isn't happening. So then Sage goes outside and slaps herself on the cheek and calls Carly, sounding all upset, saying that Janet hit her. :rolleyes

Carly speeds to the farm and is outraged. Janet's pounding on the door to the closet, yelling at Carly to let her out, and Carly sends Sage to the car, then runs up to the closet door and starts pounding on it and yelling stuff like, "You hit my kid, alright, it's on!" :shutup Then she takes Sage down to the police station, leaving Janet in the closet.

At the police station, Carly tells Jack she wants Janet arrested for child abuse or something, and says that Janet hit Sage. Jack can't believe his ears and sends Carly and Sage home and goes to the farm and lets Janet out of the closet. She tells him what happened, and he takes her over to Carly's...

Liberty's gotten to Al's and she and Parker are talking. She's surprised that he's interested in stuff like a food drive. He says that his real dad was all about helping other people, and doing this is a way of showing that he hasn't forgotten him. :heart

Casey tells Luke that Kevin's called for an investigation into the election, and Luke's a little worried, even more so when he gts a call to come talk to the dean. In the dean's office, Luke insists that he didn't stuff the ballot box. The dean says he's sure that everything will turn out as it should... later, Luke goes to the farm and finds an upset Noah sitting at the kitchen table. As Luke starts telling Noah how much he loves him and wants them to be happy again, Luke stops him and says that he got a call from the dean, to come in to his office. Luke asks him what he's going to say, and Noah says he doesn't know... Noah asks Luke if he wants him to lie, and after thinking awhile, Luke says yes.... :pullhair

Luke waits outside of the dean's office while Noah's inside. When the door opens, Noah and the dean step out. Noah has an unhappy look on his face... :huh :huh

It's like a war zone in Carly's living room, with Janet denying she hit Sage, Sage and Carly insisting that Janet DID hit Sage, Jack trying to calm everybody down so they can talk rationally. :shutup Liberty and Parker walk in and can't believe their ears. Janet insists that she never hit Sage, and says, "I've never hit anybody in my life!" Oops! Parker starts to protest, remembering the time that Janet slapped Liberty.... but he doesn't say anything. Janet and Liberty know what he's thinking about, though, and Janet admits slapping Liberty. She says that her own mom occasionally slapped her...

Carly is just gloating, saying, "why aren't I surprised? Jack, is this the woman you want to raise our children?" :rolleyes Jack takes Janet home, and out on the porch, Liberty tells Parker how much she appreciates him not saying anything about the slap. He says he knows how much she didn't want him to... :heart

At Janet's, she tells Jack that they can't keep on doing this, that he absolutely HAS to believe that she didn't hit Sage, and if he can't believe her, he's got to walk away. Pulling her into his arms, Jack says "I believe you!" :heart

Back at Carly's, Carly sits down on the couch with Sage and says, "It's just us now, Sage, you can tell me the truth. Did Janet really hit you?" Sage swallows hard and says, "Yes, she did." Carly hugs her and says, "I believe you..." :heart :smack

Julie Pinson was really outstanding today. Her scenes at the end with Jack were so good.

Sage is a TERROR. :gaah

Carly has lied and schemed enough to NOT fall for a little girl's lies. I don't like that aspect, although it sets up some great drama later.

I even liked the Parker and Liberty scene at the end.

Loved Luke's scene with Noah in Emma's kitchen.

Great show today. :2thumbs

As much as I love seeing Sage follow in Carly's footsteps, I think this is going to just end up backfiring and pushing Janet and Jack closer together in the long run. Jack and Janet will develop a "we will overcome" mentality for every obstacle that Sage might try to throw their way. :waiting How come it can't be as simple as Janet realizing Jack will always be in love with Carly, and let's him go so she can find someone who truly wants just her? That would be the best solution! :gaah

Luke sure knows how to choose them. I think Noah was a carbon copy of Holden today. How did that happen? I was annoyed that Noah expected everyone in the Snyder family to lie for him while he was pretending to play house with his pretend wife Ameera, but can't bring himself to lie for Luke. I am not saying what Luke did was right, I just see Noah's expectations as pretty conditional and unfair, even if the ends is wrong.... Basically I want Noah to not be a hypocrite and explain how lying last time (re: Ameera) totally backfired on them, so they shouldn't do it again. That would make sense to me at least.

I liked the Casey/Alison scenes and these two are great as friends. I like that Alison calls Casey on his crap, and expects him to be the better person she knows he can be.

I actually thought Parker and Liberty were cute today (sometimes they can be pretty annoying :tomato ).

I hadn't thought about the angle of everybody lying for Noah with the Ameera thing, good point! Although Emma certainly seemed to be ready to back out of the lie at some points. :lol I guess for me, though, it would be easier to justify the lies in that case than in the matter of stuffing the election box. On the other hand, the consequences of getting caught lying for Ameera would surely be worse than the consequences in the election fix.... :hmm Interesting...

However, I think it's pushing the envelope to say that Noah was the carbon copy of Holden. :rofl :rofl Maybe in 20 years or so.... :shutup

I know what you're saying about Luke lying for Noah, but that doesn't make the lie right in either case. I certainly hope that Noah's not turning into judgemental Holden. They do say that people sometimes fall in love with someone like their parents, though.

I HATE this Sage story! It makes Sage look bad, it makes Carly look bad.. and for what? To prop Jack & Janet? Ugh.

This is all so maddening. Jack is saying how much he loves Janet.. I just don't feel it.. not after the way he was acting just a few weeks ago. FTLOG could they just do something NEW for ONCE and have Jack choose Carly over his Stepford wife wannabe?? The longer this goes on the more I cannot stand Jack!!

While I don't like what Sage is doing, she is just and unhappy little girl, so I can understand as long as it doesn't go any farther, but Jack is another story. He is siding with Janet over Sage without giving Sage the benefit of the doubt. I don't think Janet would be doing the same if the shoe were on the other foot , in fact she didn't. This makes Jack look really bad.

I HATE this Carjack storyline. I makes both Carly and Jack look incredibly stupid. It also makes me hate Jack for siding with Janet against his own daughter (although Janet is right). I have a bad feeling that Sage will cry wolf one too many times and when its something true and serious neither Jack or Carly will believe her. If TPTB think that Sage getting hurt (my assumption) will reunite Carjack I will be devastated.

I hate this CarJack story too. I hate that the individual characters of Carly and Jack are being destroyed and now Sage too just to prop Janet and try to get sympathy for her and we're suddenly supposed to forget what she was when she came to town. It's just turning some against Janet when more and more had been liking her before the start of this. I fail to see the point in destroying some characters to try to make another look better :cuss :cuss :cuss It sure isn't working for me. I especially hate what it is doing to Jack who looks like an idiot for not even talking to his daughter one on one and just forcing Janet on her. Of course the Carly haters are happy to have another reason to bash her. :rolleyes

I too wonder if something will happen to Sage and nobody will have believed her. Something is going to get CarJack back together and I wouldn't put it past the writers to go that route. They're reaching new lows these days so that wouldn't surprise me.

The Nuke story was good. I'm glad that Noah stood up to whiny Luke.
