Paul and Meg get closer as Paul seems to be making good progress with his therapy. Meg tries to decide where to have baby furniture delivered, Fairwinds or the farm... Paul wants her to decide on Fairwinds, but says it's her decision.

After Dusty and Josey kiss, she says it's a mistake. Not because she didn't like it, but because she doesn't know what's in her life, it could be a husband and 6 kids... she feels she doesn't have the right to connect to anybody new until she learns if she has some other connections that would get in the way of that. :clap Dusty says he's going to back off and give her some space to remember at her own pace. :2thumbs

Emily gets in Barbara's face about Dusty and Josey, saying that Josey is nothing but a scam artist, and Dusty will get hurt. Barbara defends Josey, saying that Josey has never evr said she's a reincarnation of Jennifer, and that Dusty has told Emily he doesn't want her, so she should take the hint. :devil Susan walks up and starts yelling at Barbara for yelling at Emily, but Babs isn't intimidated and walks off. Emily tells Susan it's good to have her in her corner for a change, and Susan says she's not in her corner, she thinks Babs was absolutely right, but didn't want to give Babs the satisfaction of hearing her say that. :shutup

Noah's packed up his things, most of them, anyway, and is ready to leave the farm. He and Luke talk about what Luke did and why Noah couldn't lie for Luke. They come to an impasse and Noah walks out...

Lily's called Holden home from his business trip and tells him what's going on with Luke. Together, they go out to the farm to talk to Luke. They find him slumped at Emma's kitchen table, and even though he doesn't want to talk, of course they do. :shutup Lily says that she thinks expelling Luke was going overboard and she's going to talk to the chancellor, her family's given a lot of money to the college. Luke looks hopeful, and then Holden asks him if he really wants his mother's money to buy him out of a situation that he's brought on himself. Luke says no, and so they talk about how he can make things right. He starts by going to Java and telling Noah how truly sorry he is and asking Noah to come back to him. :hmm Noah listens to what Luke has to say, but says he can't go back with him yet... :cry Luke is of course crushed, and later runs into some students who are drinking beer in the mall, it seems like they're trying to say that they got the free beer for voting for Kevin, but of course that can't be, can it? :shutup Anyway, one of them offers Luke a beer and somebody else says that Luke doesn't drink, but Luke says that he does now, and takes the beer. :cuss

Dusty goes to the Intruder and tells Emily he's decided to go to the convention after all. Emily says that she's already booked and can't cancel. She then looks suggestively at Dusty and purrs that they can go together... :pullhair Dusty sternly tells her they'll go as colleagues, nothing else. He leaves and sneaky Emily gets on the phone to actually book at the convention... and surprise, surprise, she and Dusty will have to share a room. :smack

Emily goes to Memorial to tell Susan she'll be out of town at the convention with Dusty. Susan says that Emily is making a huge mistake, but then Emily starts blithering about how she's going to achieve her 'secret', she's going to "Ask, Believe and Receive"... :huh :huh :huh

Josey goes into Fashions and asks Barbara for a job. Barbara says she really doesn't have anything, but Josey is so sincere and wants so badly to have a job, that Babs can't say no... just then Lily and little Ethan come in. Lily's looking for something pretty for Lucinda to wear after her surgery. She fills Babs in on the fact that Lucinda's cancer has returned. :cry

Ethan is bored with the idea of shopping, so Josey offers to take him for ice cream. Barbara introduces her to Lily and Lily says ok, so off they go. They're sitting on a bench outside of Fashions when Josey tells Ethan she's had a song in her head all day, and asks him if he wants to hear it. He says yes and Josey starts singing (pretty badly, :lol :lol ) the same song that Jennifer used to sing to Johnny. :eek Unknown to Josey, Dusty's standing behind them, and is shocked to hear Josey singing.

Lily comes and gets Ethan and Dusty walks up to Josey and asks her to come with him. They go to the Lakeview and he tells her that Jen used to sing that song. Josey says things are getting seriously freaky. Dusty says that even though he had planned on going to NYC, now that he's heard her sing the song, he's not going anywhere.

Dusty calls Emily, who's hurrying to the airport in a car with a driver. He tells her that he's not going to the convention. Emily is furious, but Dusty tells her she can handle it just fine on her own. Emily tells the driver to turn around... :rolleyes

Emily goes into the Lakeview bar to get a drink and sees Dusty and Josey. She angrily calls Paul....

Meg and Paul are at Al's while Meg is attempting to eat practically everything on the menu. :lol :lol They see Josey and Babs through the window and then Babs walks in and sits down with them. Paul asks her what's going on with faux Jennifer, and Babs says she's hired Josey, and she likes her, and she feels as if Josey's a lost soul, with unusual intuition. Paul is skeptical of course, but Babs says to give it a chance, and the new/improved Paul stays pretty calm... :2thumbs Then his phone rings. It's Emily snarling, "We've got to get rid of that woman!" :pullhair

Well, that little Ethan was just the cutest thing today. The actor must be quite a pistol. :shutup

Ethan was adorable today. But why on earth would Lily let him go off with Josie? No way!

It was a Leslie Nipkow writing day and it wasn't as good as the previous two from David A. Levinson.

I was glad to see Holden back from wherever he's been.

Luke, Noah, Lily, and Holden all had great scenes today.

Emily being all hot and desperate for Dusty was lame! Although I do like her snapping at Paul towards the end. Where will this lead? :shutup

Josie, Barbara, Dusty scenes were my favorite of the day.

Paul and Meg. Fast forwarded :wink , so no comment. :waiting

Dusty has competition for Josie. Ethan was in total player mode today with her. Oh snap! :biggrin

I enjoyed watching this hour of OAKDALE. For a SWEEPS show...I felt as if I was watching a better cast of actors. Since I enjoyed the cast...I tend to just let whatever content be spoken...and live with it.

I really enjoyed the scene with Lily telling Barb about Lucinda, wanting her to find something to make Lucinda feel beautiful after her surgery but didn't understand her letting Josie take Ethan out since she's just met her......

I've never been a big fan of the character. I think nuLily is doing as well as she can with the material given to her.
