Liberty comes to the diner, upset that she'll probably have to testify at the custody hearing tomorrow, and she just can't trash her mom. :cry Janet tells her not to worry, that Jack's working on getting Sage to tell the truth.

Jack's plan involves picking up Sage at school and walking with her to an ice cream place, where he starts talking to her about the importance of telling the truth, and how telling the truth usually makes things better. Sage points out that in the past when Carly's told the truth, it resulted in Jack and Carly splitting up... Jack says that if Sage thinks that lying will get her mom and dad back together, she's wrong...

Carly's gone to school to pick up Sage and when she finds out that Jack's already been there, she's not happy, to say the least, and immediately leaves Jack a voice mail and then heads to the diner to get Janet to tell her where Jack and Sage are. :shutup

Janet and Carly manage to get into it, of course, and Liberty chimes in, too, until Janet asks her to leave, and says that this isn't Liberty's battle. :2thumbs THEN, Janet asks Carly to leave, too. Janet tells Carly she doesn't know where Jack and Sage are, and Carly nastily asks Janet, "where will YOU be when a judge says Sage can't be with Jack as long as you're there..." :waiting

Just as Jack thinks he might be making a little progress with Sage, first Janet appears, to tell Jack that Carly was at the diner, and then Carly shows up and takes Sage home. Jack tells Janet he's got to stop this trainwreck and follows Carly home. Sage is upstairs and when Carly opens the door, Jack says he's there to apologize for taking Sage, and asks Carly to think really seriously about whether she believes that Janet could have hit Sage, and that if there's even a little doubt, she should stop this thing...

Janet goes back to the diner, where Liberty's been filling in for her, and tells Liberty she's afraid she's losing Jack. :hmm

Brian comes to the farm looking for Luke to tell him that Lucinda's having a mastectomy today. Luke's hung over and Brian realizes that, and warns Luke to remember that drinking can kill him. Luke keeps denying that he's been drinking, but promises to get cleaned up and head over to the hospital.

Lucinda's telling Lily about her surgery, and Lily gets emotional but promises to be there for her mother. Lucinda, Lily and Holden go to the hospital, and Lucinda gets ready for surgery. Brian's there, too, and Lily is surprised when she realizes how much Brian cares about Lucinda. Brian gives Lucinda something he's bought for her - a certificate to take tango lessons. :biggrin

Noah comes to the hospital with flowers for Lucinda and runs into Luke, who's very glad to see him. Luke thinks that Noah will stay at the hospital, but Noah leaves, and when he does, Luke is overwhelmed with emotion and ends up drinking at Yo's! :pullhair

Lucinda comes through her surgery well, and Holden and Lily go home to talk to the kids. Brian's with Lucinda when she wakes up briefly. She murmurs that she had a vision, and it means something, Brian means something to her. She wonders why Brian doesn't have a life to go home to and he says that he does, and she's a big part of it. :heart Lucinda says she doesn't have a lot of time, and she wants to live her life, and not waste it. Then she drops off to sleep again. :muchlove

Brian calls Lily and tells her that Lucinda woke up briefly and is fine. He promises to call her if Lucinda wakes up again before Lily gets back to the hospital. Lily tells Holden that good old Brian was sure Johnny on the spot, and Holden said they should be grateful...

Almost immediately, Lucinda wakes up again, and again says she doesn't have much time, and asks Brian to marry her. :eek Brian smiles and says she doesn't know him... Lucinda says she does, and pushes Brian for an answer. Finally, he smiles lovingly at her and says that he'll marry her... :heart

Alison comes over to Casey's with the goal of helping him find a job. This idea doesn't work well at all. Casey can't think of anything he'd love to do everyday. :rolleyes Alison tells him to close his eyes and see if he can picture something he wants, and then go for it... Casey ends up moving in on Ali and trying to :kiss her. He wonders if they could have sex that doesn't mean anything, and Ali says definitely not. No friends with benefits... :biggrin. They head off to Yo's and see an underage Luke getting trashed at the bar. :rolleyes

When they go up to Luke and try to get him to stop drinking, Luke takes a swing at Casey. Casey and Ali take Luke outside, and Luke sneers at them, and calls them a couple lf losers and then takes off. Casey calls Noah and says that Luke needs him... :muchlove

At Carly's, Jack's still trying to get Carly to drop the custody suit. He tells her that both of them have been at fault. They haven't been able to really let each other go, and so Sage has false hope that they'll get back together. He says they've got to talk to Sage together and convince her that them getting together really ISN'T a possibility. Carly goes upstairs but comes down and says Sage is too tired to come downstairs.

Jack says oh, Carly, you just don't want to take the chance that if we both tell her how we feel, maybe she'll admit that Janet didn't hit her. Carly sticks to her stance, and Jack then warns her that if it's a fight she wants, he'll give her one, and she'll lose.... :wacko :cry

Today for the first time, I really could see Lucinda and Brian as a couple. :heart If only.... :hmm

Luke really doesn't seem to have much of a character, does he? :waiting

Casey today just made me want to :tomato him! :cuss

Noah's pretty harsh...
:waiting

I liked the whole show today. Having no Peg or Bratie goes a long way toward improving my enjoyment level on a given episode.

Van was awesome as drunk bitchy Luke. I totally wasn't expecting him to punch Casey.

For the first time, I really liked Brian and Lucinda together. It's a shame that every woman over 50 except for Kim is manless.

Carly is pushing this Sage thing so hard and it's sure to come back and bite her.

Casey and Alison are super cute. Their my favorite non-romantic friend couple. I can certainly see these two together someday, and it would be a complex relationship given Casey's previous relationship with Emily, and Alison's previous relationships with Chris. Definitely material the show can sink it's teeth into. Keep the slow approach- don't rush things, and I think the program might have a winning combo on its hands! :2thumbs Now throw in Jade to mix things up with Alison and Casey, and you have a triangle that will be pretty interesting.

Casey sure was a typical guy today. One thing on his mind! If he respect Alison he'll wait until the time is right! Or at least I hope. Since the show won't allow Luke and Noah to mess around, I'm glad that Casey and Alison weren't hoping into bed just for the heck of it! :shutup

Luke was pretty cruel with the comments he directed to Casey and Alison. Low blows, indeed. They are just trying to be good friends, and they care about him. I thought he was super tacky today. Not the Luke I love and enjoy. Luke better apologize to Casey and Alison once he sobers up! He doesn't have a lot of friends, and he needs to keep the ones that he can.

I tolerated Lily and Holden today. Lucinda was magnificent, and Brian's scenes with her and Luke were very good.

No Paul, Meg, Brad, and Katie today indeed! :clap I echo Roger's sentiments. No Spencer and Dani to boot! :biggrin

Carly and Jack sure spark things up, even when they are angry with each other. Liberty sure was annoying. I do feel bad that Janet is being falsely accused of slapping Sage, and I hope Sage comes clean soon. Sage DOES need to realize that lying is only going to turn her parents apart, and certainly not bring them together. I hope that Carly and Jack both see how their antics have affected their daughter, and both need to get their act together. Is it okay if I hope Janet is sincere about giving the ring back to Jack (even though I know it's not). I wish! :lol

Again Jack went out of bounds in my opinion. Why did he pick up Sage without telling Carly. With the hearing coming up, it was a really stupid thing to do. And although the audience knows that Sage isn't telling the truth, Jack just will not entertain the thought that Sage could be telling the truth. Yes, she's lied before but she always owned up to it. This time she hasn't. But there doesn't seem to be anything that indicates that Jack believes Sage at all.

Then when Jack was with Sage trying to tell her about lying and how wrong it is, he has Janet lying to Carly about where he and Sage are. And when Janet comes to tell Jack that Carly's looking for them, he wants Sage to leave WITH HIM AND JANET. Besides Sage wanting Jack and Carly back together, I also think that Sage feels like she will be shuffled to the back of Jack's life if he marries Janet. Jack makes very little effort to talk to Sage about anything BUT the situation with Janet.

Jack continues to threaten to trash Carly in court (and he's been doing that for years, not just in the present circumstances). I really, really, really, really HATE JACK!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be glad when this custody hearing is over (if it even happens). I really wish the Judge would limit Jack's access to his kids, especially Sage.

Janet is not a saint. Jack is not a saint. And Carly is not the devil. I'm sick of TPTB trying to shove these opinions down our throat.

Noah is getting on my nerves. Okay what Luke did was wrong and he really acted an ASS today, but Noah is acting like a sanctimonious ASSHOLE (you'd think he was a Snyder). Noah should give Luke a break and not act so holier than thou. Jeez, Noah's lied before himself (remember Ameera). Give me (or Luke) a break!!!

I don't like Lucinda and Brian. That's all there is to it. Brian is slimey in my opinion (and he's going to get slimier).
