Now that Lucinda's more awake, she remembers asking Brian to marry her and remembers him saying yes. She asks him if he meant it and he says yes, of course....he loves her. As Lily and Holden walk into Lucinda's room, they're surprised to hear Lucinda and Brian laughing, and rubbing noses. Lucinda can't wait to tell them that "we, me, Brian and me, we're engaged!" Next thing, Lucinda is wanting to get married right then and now, and Brian leaves to contact a judge. Lily follows him out into the hallway and says that this is crazy. Lucinda's still in a post-surgical haze, and why don't they wait? Brian asks why wait, Lucinda wants to live her life, and this is a great way to get started....Holden comes out into the hall. He's surprised, too, and wondering, as well, where Luke is... Lily goes into Lucinda's room to try and talk some sense into her, but an emotional Lucinda tells Lily that "I've seen the grim reaper, I know I'm living in the shadow of death... I don't want to waste a minute, and I'm tired of being alone! " Lucinda is so convincing that Lily is brought to tears, and begins to understand Lucinda's feelings and fears.... Next thing you know, Lucinda has been prettied up, and is moving remarkably well, although still in bed...A justice/judge is there, and so are Lily and Holden, and of course Brian. Brian has also prepared a pre-nup, and wants to make it clear that all he's getting out of the marriage is the perfect bride. Before the ceremony begins, Brian gives a very touching and loving speech about how wonderful it is to have Lucinda in his life. Now it's Lucinda's turn, and after teasing that she's not going to say anything, she does manage a few words, and then Brian slips his Princeton class ring on her finger and the vows are said.... Everyone seems really happy... Noah finally gets with Luke, and is shocked to see how wasted Luke is. Luke is really out of it, but Noah manages to get him out to the farm, and tries to get Luke to drink some water and take some aspirin, but all Luke wants is for Noah to stay with him. Noah won't, though, and leaves. A hurt and angry Luke starts wildly looking for booze and when he can't find it, he rushes out... Liberty shows up at Carly's door and tries to see that Janet is only human, and it was a mistake for her to have slapped Liberty, but Liberty absolutely knows that Janet didn't hit Sage. Carly doesn't believe a word Liberty says, and things are getting heated when Parker walks in. Liberty rushes out and Parker's right behind her. Liberty tells him what she said to Carly, and that Carly wouldn't listen. Parker says he'll try to talk to Carly... ![]() Meanwhile, Janet's at the station trying to give her ring back to Jack. Jack refuses to accept it, but when he's distracted by work, he turns around and finds that Janet is gone, but the ring is lying there... He goes to Al's and again tries to get Janet to take the ring.....he says they can't let Sage run their lives. Janet says she knows that, and that SHE's the one who's going to be in charge... Janet and Janet sit down and talk about tomorrow in court. The more Jack talks, the more Janet starts to think that things will work out. Jack's glad, and says that they deserve a shot... the engagement is back on.... Janet really doesn't want to wear the ring, though, but Jack says he's got to see it on her finger in court, and he slips it back on her finger and says it's a promise that everything will turn out okay... ![]() Carly calls Lily and learns that she's at Memorial, so Carly goes there. When she learns about Lucinda's surgery and marriage, she doesn't want to bother Lily with her own problems, but Lily says she could use a distraction and a drink, so they go off for a gal to gal. Carly asks Lily if she thinks Carly is doing the right thing with the custody suit, and Lily says that she really doesn't.... ![]() After telling a nurse that he's leaving to get some things for Lucinda for the morning, and giving the nurse his cell #, Brian drives off. He's happily singing along with operatic muskc when he spots Luke in the road, and stops and puts him in the car.... He takes Luke to the farm and tells him to clean up, he's a mess. Luke tells Brian that he's not his mother... ![]() Outside Lucinda's room, Lily tells Holden that before the wedding, Lily could see how afraid Lucinda was, but afterward, Lucinda didn't seem afraid, just happy, and Lily hopes that happiness can last forever and ever for Lucinda. ![]() Parker shows up at Liberty's door and says he's talked to Sage, and doesn't know if he got through to her, but he tried. Liberty tells him he's great to have around, Parker pecks her on the cheek and leaves. At home, Carly is brushing Sage's hair, and talking to her about the next day. She seems to be trying to convince Sage that everything will be okay, that she and Jack will always take care of Sage.... she talks about how important it is to be beautiful inside as well as outside... Sage says not to worry about her, all she wants is for Carly and Jack to be together... ![]() Luke's showered and comes into the kitchen. Brian says that Luke looks better and that he'll feel better, too, once the poison gets out of his system. Luke starts talking about how badly he's messed everything up, and Brian moves closer and puts his arms around Luke, telling him that he's a good person. Luke rests his head against Brian, and Brian kisses him, first on the head, then the cheek, then the lips... Momentarily Luke returns the kiss, then pulls away and jumps to his feet, yelling, "WTH was that???" and runs upstairs, leaving Brian standing in the kitchen. ![]() Elizabeth Hubbard looks outstanding without makeup! ![]() Luke makes a great drunk. ![]() Brian's actions today make me so sad for Lucinda.... Jack just absolutely refuses to listen to any kind of reason concerning the custody hearing... |

LOL, that's what I was thinking about Carly. She has to know deep down Sage is lying. Liz Hubbard was so good again. I knew that scene with Brian and Luke was coming but I was still shocked to see it! Can't wait for tomorrow. |

Lucinda was amazing today and yesterday. She brought tears to my eyes. Not surprising, but so good to see. |

Well, yeah, I guess I should have said the same thing about Carly, as I did think that about her, too. Jack was more blatant to me though because the scenes with him and Janet went on and on and on....

If I was producing the show, I would have ended with the Luke and Brian scene. That was shocking and cliffhanger-esque. The Janet/Jack closing was anticlimactic after that. |

I agree, and as you can see in the recap, I ended with the Luke/Brian scene.

I know that Sage is lying and that Jack is justified in doubting her, but I still found it disturbing how many times I heard Jack say, "I love my daughter but..." His determination to go through with this marriage despite his daughter's feelings isn't clicking for me. He's behaving almost indifferent, which really isn't like Jack. I hope that Carly will realize what's going on and stop things before it goes too far.. think that's asking too much though.

See I like Julia, but I can't stand her pairing with Jack. I don't buy it. I hope she finds love afterwards- and I want Jack to realize that Carly is the one for him so Julia doesn't get her heart broken! Plus I'm a Carjack boy here who has been waiting long enough to have Jack finally get on his knees and beg Carly to come back to him. I want my Carjack reunited! Almost three years too long! Man, that kiss was still surprising ! Despite the shock, it almost looked like Luke leaned into the kiss at first. Hm. This storyline will be interesting, if not a little weird and creepy with Brian being his brand new step-grandfather. I'd rather see Luke and Noah kissing anyways.

Did anyone else think during the Sage and Carly scene that Carly understood Sage's admission of always wanting Carjack together as confirmation that she's lying? I got that vibe. |

BRIAN....I would be HAPPIEST if he only has 24 more hours. Each day that this SCAM conitinues will just make things WORSE for me. It is one thing to understand why a man LIVES a married life with someone for a few years THEN slowly start to accept his double standard. BUT to GET MARRIED IN ONE SCENE and then KISS someone in the NEXT just spells D I S A S T E R in the making. JANET...I have never seen an actor go from being BEAUTIFUL to be such a MESS to reflect her troubles for the day. I guess I have been having trouble watching JANET become a mess VISUALLY but not HEARING it from her mouth. LUKE...VanH is such a TROOPER!!! |

One thing that is really bugging me about Jack is that he knows that Sage had a mark on her fact that lasted until she and Carly got to the police station and is Janet didn't hit her somebody did. If he thinks Sage hit herself that hard that is reason for him to be very concerned about her right there. A parent should put their children's happiness above their own when they are have these kinds of issues. |

That would mean that the writers would actually have to be original and connect the dots of a storyline. No, its much easier to plot device, plot device, plot device. |

LOL I know the story is a repeat but it's Janet this time around and not Julia I liked Janet prior to the rushed engagement. IF they end this soon I think she can be a viable character. If they carry it out too long, I think she'll be toast.I don't find anything interesting about a guy being pursued by his new step-grandfather. I wasn't shocked by the scene since I new it was coming and don't think it was particularly well done. It became a little too campy for my taste. And it's really made me despise Brian. He's stabbing Lucinda in the heart and taking advantage of a drunk Luke. That just isn't appealing to me. |

I don't think that was confirmation for Carly. I think it made her start to have some doubts but I don't think she knows what to think at this point. I certainly don't think she is certain that Sage was lying or she would have pushed it more like she has in the past. It too bothers me that Jack hasn't stopped to think about what is going on with Sage other than his believing that she lied. I agree it's extreme if she went to the extent of hurting herself and Jack needs to realize that. I'm hoping that part is coming soon. In the meantime they are destroying Jack
