Usually when Y&R goes up the rest of CBS does, so not a good sign that it didn't help ATWT. FYI ATWT was down 1 million viewers from last year on Monday. Last year that was the CarJack non-wedding where Carly revealed she wasn't dying. It was the 3rd most watched show last year.

I agree, Karen, the so called Sweeps storylines were definitely lacking... :sleeping

 The storylines are tired and old. I don't find them interesting at all. I'm not surprised by the ratings. But I am definitely frustrated. No fanbase is happy, from what I can tell. :gaah

 This was truly sleeps instead of sweeps. You would think they would be pulling out all the stops. Sadly it looks like they are turning to shock value instead of good character writing.

What worries me is that it is so often rumored that renewal of GL and ATWT are a package deal. How long can they carry GL? And with ATWT in 7th place that doesn't give them a lot of reason to keep going. It was easier to justify in 4th place. I just wish we saw signs of them trying to improve things. Why does PGP make no changes at the top? All the other soaps do that. I know GL is bringing back 2 favorite actors but will that even help them?
