Lily runs into Lucinda and Brian at The Lakeview. Lucinda's apparently having her house remodeled, to make a new start with her new husband, so for now, she's planning on staying with Brian at The Lakeview. Lily convinces her, using more time with the grandkids as a carrot, to move in with them. ![]() At the farm, Luke starts to drink a beer but suddenly gets pains in his stomach. He pours the rest of the beer down the drain and goes home and asks Holden if he can move back home. Holden says of course, and Luke goes home to get his stuff. Of course, when he comes back, He learns that Lucinda and Brian will also be living there, and he wants to change his plans, but Lucinda convinces him to stay, for her sake... Luke heads down to Java... Paul surprises Meg with a humongous Christmas tree. They manage to get it set up, and decide to do old fashioned decorations. Paul shows Meg Christmas stockings he's bought, one has Eliza on it... so they sit down and start imagining the next Christmas with their daughter. Once they're done with that, they start stringing popcorn and cranberries... ![]() At The Lakeview, Emily finds Dusty still trying to figure out where Josey is, and why she left so suddenly. Emily realizes to her dismay that Dusty has strong feelings for Dusty. She tries to pull him back to her with a kiss, but Dusty pushes her away and says that even without Josey in the picture, there's no future for them. This enrages Emily and she lets it slip that Josey was hired to scam Dusty. Dusty asks if it was Paul, and while Emily doesn't actually say yes, her facial expression and body language says it all... Dusty grabs her and drags her out the room. He's on his way to Fairwinds. Emily gets on the phone and warns Paul...Paul immediately tells Meg that he's changed his mind about how to decorate the tree, and they need a bunch of lights. He says he's got a conference call, so she takes off to get them by herself. As soon as she leaves, Paul takes a gun out of the safe. Sure enough, Dusty pushes his way in, and the two men face off. Paul admits that he hired Josey to keep Dusty away from Meg. Dusty says that Paul's not man enough for Meg, and that after learning what Paul's done, Dusty just might actually go after Meg. ![]() Luke tells Noah that Brian came on to him. Noah can't believe it, even after Luke tells him that Brian actually him... Everything that Luke says to try to convince Noah that he isn't making something out of nothing, Noah has a rebuttal... finally Luke gives up and leaves.... ![]() Meanwhile, Lucinda asks Brian to try and get Luke more involved with the Foundation again, and hopefully Luke will change his attitude toward Brian. Brian says he'll try. ![]() Luke goes back to Lily and Holden's and grabs a bottle of liquor and is drinking when Brian walks in. Luke tells Brian that he can't live in the same house with him, with him coming on to him all the time.... Brian says that it's not like that... Luke keeps acting kind of cocky, everytime Brian walks toward him, he tells Brian, "uh uh, don't touch me!" Brian tells Luke that Lucinda needs both their support now. He tells Luke that he's got to stop drinking, Brian keeps going back to the drinking, while Luke is focused on the ... Brian grabs Luke's arm as Luke walks out the door and Luke tells him, "Never. Touch. Me. Again." .... Hearing Dusty say that maybe he WILL go after Meg pushes Paul beyond his limits and he pulls out the gun and says that Dusty will never have a chance to say one word to Meg... ![]() Dusty asks Paul, "You gonna shoot me again?" Dusty grabs for the gun and the two men struggle....Dusty gets the gun from Paul and points it at Paul. Paul grabs the ax that he used to shorten the trunk of the Christmas tree. Dusty tell him to drop it, but Paul lunges at Dusty, and Dusty shoots Paul in the chest! Meg walks in just in time to see that part.... she kneels beside Paul's body and asks Dusty, "what have you done?" ![]() I thought the show seemed kind of...empty... today, until right at the end...

I liked the stuff involving Dusty. Other than that though the show didn't do a lot for me. I could totally understand Dusty's anger with a clueless Emily, who really thought without Josie they would have a chance but I didn't like the way he threw her around. The Paul/Dusty scene was the best part. I liked Dusty's reaction that while he wasn't after Meg since she was married, with Paul's actions now that won't stop him. I still want Josie to be redeemed though and my guess is that is going to happen by her helping clear Dusty of the charges of shooting Paul It's beyond lame that Lucinda and Brian would move in with Lily and Holden and I'm not buying that Lucinda has done all of this work to arrange to have her house remodeled since the surgery to make it more guy friendly It just seems like far too much of a plot device. I just want Brian gone. And as they showed "Eliza" a year from now all I could think was poor child with those two for parents!

I thought that today's episode was really boring. I paid attention to the Dusty, Emily, Paul scenes. Dusty and Paul's "confrontation" had me . I mean, how many times have we seen this scene with the two trying to kill each other? I am over it!I thought Luke was a little snotty with Brian. Brian is definitely weird, but it looked like he was just trying to get Luke to stop drinking today. Noah SHOULD get a clue and listen to Luke, IMO. If Luke came to him needing to get something off his chest, he definitely isn't playing around.

Shooting Paul was an accident. Dusty doesn't need Josie to help him get out of trouble with the law. All she can do is tell Meg the truth in order to ruin Paul, which I'm sure she'll be happy to do. |

Well, didn't Dusty aim the gun right at Paul and shoot him? When Paul was rushing toward Dusty with that ax? That doesn't seem too accidental to me.

I vote self-defense. If someone was coming at me with an axe, I would shoot them as well.

I loved all the Luke stuff. By the end I was hoping Paul and Dusty would kill each other. We have been there, done that so many times. I can't believe anyone still cares. When Paul was talking to Meg today, I was thinking about how 99% of their conversations over the past three years have been him lying through his teeth to her. What a couple. NOT. Emily, Paul and Meg seem like characters who have been driven into the ground the past few years. I'm so sick of them all, history or not. |

I've finally come to the conclusion that Noah is a bore. I'm just not a fan of his and really only rooted for Nuke since they were new and different. Luke can do so much better than that drip of a "boyfriend", not to mention I think Van acts circles around Jake. I've lost any remaining Nuke fandom I may have had after yet another scene of Noah's holier-than-thou attitude . Who would want to be in a relationship with such a pathetic uncaring whiner? |

I never fail to be amazed at how Paul and Meg manage to have practically the same conversation as many times as they do.

I don't understand why Noah is so bound and determined to always think that Luke is mistaken or in the wrong. It's like he looks for something to be wrong with what Luke tells him. Noah is way to judgmental and critical lately. He's been around the Snyder's too long and seems to be catching the Snyder judgmental streak. Luke thankfully has some Grimaldi in him and so that is an antedote to the Snyder syndrome. I really cannot stand Brian. He is sleaze personified. I don't blame Luke for wanting him to leave him alone. Emily deserves anything she gets. I am so glad that Dusty told her that they will never, ever be a couple - even if she's the last person on earth (well I added the last part). Paul is an idiot and deserves everything he gets. And Meg needs to leave him once and for all. This going back and forth is getting very, very old. I guess Lily's house is now like Emma's. Everyone is going to be living there. It would be too much to ask for Paul to be really, really dead so we wouldn't have to go through all this crap with him and Meg and him and Dusty over and over and over and over and over again! |

I was thinking the same thing about Lily's house. They must want to take down the farm set. I was also LOL at how Lily has a "guest wing", yet she has that one room on her first floor. |
