Meg's frantically working on Paul and telling Dusty to call 911. Dusty's just standing around looking disgusted, and finally calls, then tells Meg very casually, "Paul tried to shoot me. This is HIS gun. I took it away from him and then he came after me with an ax. I had to shoot him." The EMTs arrive and Dusty slips away. He goes straight to Emily and tells her what happened and demands that she tell her where Josey is. Emily says all she knows is that Josey got into a car and drove away. So Dusty goes to The Lakeview to try and find out what forwarding address Josey left, but she didn't leave any at all. Dusty tries calling Josey again, and she actually answers. Dusty says she owes it to him to explain things to him, face to face. He'll meet her at Yo's. And susprise, surprise, Josey does show up. She apologizes, but Dusty won't accept it. He asks her to tell him how this whole thing came about. She says her real name is Josey, short for Josephine, Anderson. She was a poor art student, burdened with massive student loans, no family, when Paul found her and hired her. She didn't realize how much what she was going to do would hurt anybody, she thought of it as performance art, but realized that she couldn't go through with it to the bitter end. Dusty listens and asks a few questions. Finally Josey asks him if they can forget what happened and start over. Dusty says it's too late for that. ![]() Now Dusty tells Josey about shooting Paul and says he'll be answering police questions soon. Josey offers to go to the police and tell them about the scam, but Dusty turns her down and gets up to leave. Josey grabs him and kisses him, but he pulls away. She asks him what else she can say, and he says, "say good-bye.." ![]() Jack comes over to Carly's to ask Sage if she'll be a flower girl in the wedding. Sage is next door, and before she comes home, Carly tells Jack she has wonderful news. JJ has been accepted into a private boarding school. Carly says she didn't know anything about it until the school called and said that JJ's application had been a knock out and that he had gotten accepted and had a full ride. all Carly and Jack have to do is come up with $10,000! Oh, but it can be paid in two installments. Jack is torn, he's proud of JJ, but doesn't really want JJ living away from home. Plus, the money could be a problem.... but Carly convinces him to write the check. Then Sage comes home and very sweetly agrees to be a flower girl. In fact, she's excited and looking forward to getting a new dress. Jack leaves and Carly and Sage decide to go to Al's for ice cream. ![]() Meanwhile, Liberty and Janet are at Fashions looking for a wedding dress. At first the saleswoman brings out something more appropriate for a second wedding. Janet and Liberty go Then Liberty finds "the perfect dress" and Janet goes to try it on. She loves it but hasn't totally decided to get it. While she's changing out of it, Jack comes in and when he sees how much she loves the dress, he agrees to buy it for her. Of course, none of them know the price, and Jack gulps when he learns it's $5000! Janet and Liberty are still in the dark about the price...Janet, Jack and Liberty go to Al's and walk up to Carly and Sage. Sage goes to Fashions with Janet and Liberty to look at a dress and Jack asks Carly if she can hold off sending the check to the school for awhile. Reluctantly, he tells her that he just wrote a check for $5000 for Janet's dress. Carly is furious, and Jack gets his back up, and tells Carly that he isn't her personal ATM machine and he can spend his money however he wants. Janet walks up and tells Jack that there's only one dress left for Sage, so Jack goes to buy it and Janet sits down with Carly and asks her what she and Jack were talking about. Carly tells her the truth about JJ and the boarding school and calls Janet selfish... Janet insists that the kids come first, and she doesn't have to have the dress... Later at the farm, Jack tells Janet that she can't give up her dream wedding, and he'll take care of it. ![]() Carly and Sage are at home and Sage tells Carly that she really likes having a big sister, and Liberty is going to teach her how to rollerblade, with her friends... she's also really excited about the new dress she got, and being in the wedding.... Carly tells her she's glad she's so happy and then sends her upstairs to study. ![]() Emily comes to the hospital and sneaks into Paul's room while Meg's signing permission forms for surgery for Paul. Paul grabs her arm and tells her she's got to back him up. She says she can't be involved in this anymore and just then Meg comes in and Paul is wheeled off to surgery. Meg breaks down and Emily comforts her and actually is kind to her. Meg asks why Dusty and Paul got into it and Emily says it's because of Josey, but spins it that Dusty was just taking out his hurt and anger on Paul, and outright tells Meg that Paul had nothing to do with it. Meg thanks her. Later, Paul comes out of surgery and will be fine, and he and Meg kiss and feel their daughter kick. Paul says he's never doing anything stupid like "this" again... ![]() |

It seemed rather unrealistic to me that the police didn't show up with the EMS guys. Dusty called 911 to report a shooting. I really think the cops would have arrived with the ambulance. |

Don't send JJ away. I barely get to see the kid as it is! Carly was all kinds of fierce today. Loved seeing her put her son JJ first, and make Jack see the facts. To me, it's a no-brainer, and I'm glad that Janet agreed with Carly. Great scenes today between Janet, Carly, and Jack. I don't buy Liberty and Sage being all chummy though!

While I like the actor who plays JJ, honestly, I won't miss him, cause, as you said, we never see him anyway. ![]() It's kind of twilight zonish, isn't it, when Carly and Janet are the level headed (so to speak) ones, and Jack is the :wacko....

When I was finished watching yesterday's show I actually thought to myself that Carly was a TAD over the top. Yes, I love that she wanted to send her never-seen son to this unheard of before plot device, I mean boarding school. Yes, Jack was lame for buying the dress for Janet and Carly was right to call him on it. But she was being a little over the top with Janet. We get it, you're jealous, but I thought she came off looking unappealing. I'm not so sure that Carjack is endgame any more

I hear you, HJ! Something I was wondering about was how in the hell JJ managed to apply for and get accepted to that Boarding school, AND get the scholarship, and neither of his parents seemed to know about it????

The boarding school thing is And how can you send one of your 3 kids to a boarding school and keep the other 2, especially when 1 is the same age-ish, home? Odd! And no way could JJ have applied for a thing without a parent signing, as well, unless he forged signatures. More lazy writing I'm soooooooooooooooooooo tired of Paul. I love Dusty Linda - excellent point about the police not being around when they should have been. Margo will tail her own sister but not answer a 911 call about a shooting?

I could care about the character or Paul if it wasn't Roger playing him. I just see scum every time I look at him because every character he plays is a scum. He may be very nice in real life but his characters are dirt bags. |

I personally love Carly, and while I don't mind Janet, I don't buy her relationship with Jack. Jack was practically begging Carly to come back to him a while ago, and now the show is portraying him like that never happened and he has some spectacular love for Janet. Which isn't the case obviously. I'm rooting for Carjack. They'll always be the true "loves" of each other's lives. Hopefully Jack realizes that sooner than later. It's not like they are getting younger... even though Carly is timeless in my opinion. |

Me too. It's obvious Jack doesn't love Janet. All this story is doing is destroying the three characters involved. I could care less what happens to Janet but I do care about the damage that is being done to Jack and Carly as individual characters adn as a couple. Jack has gone from one of the most popular characters to one of the most despised and as a fan of Michael Park I hate watching that happen.
