Oh my gosh, the soaps just keep getting sillier  The character of Carly is getting so bad in my opinion. Her crap today on the show was a joke to watch  How in the world could she accuse Jack and Janet and the kids of something so stupid  I hated her character before but these days she is a nutcase  JMO

Well, I have to agree with Carly being upset. I don't think being upset about your son forging your signature on a check for $20,000 is stupid. I agree that the writing hasn't been great for Carly lately, but I think in this case she definitely had a right to be upset.

How could she accuse them??? Because the kids did do something stupid and illegal! Forging somebody's name on a check should get your butt in jail rather than being rewarded with Janet's cure all of food. Janet and Jack have been totally out of control and stupid over this wedding. Who on earth spends the kind of money on a wedding where you need to take out a 2nd mortgage on a house when you don't even have any place to live? And once they decided on no lavish wedding, there was Janet wanting to spend more money on a honeymoon. Carly did co-sign for the 2nd mortgage and yet she gets blamed for being bad  How about the master manipulator Liberty? To me the jokes to watch today were Liberty, Parker, Janet and very sadly Jack. I hate what they have done to Jack by making him look so stupid  Clearly the writers like to always keep Carly down, but she's the only one with any common sense in this and she's the primary reason I even watch the show at all anymore.

I know this is a Carly fan board but I still just don't get the character of Carly  I do agree that the kids were wrong, but as far as Jack and Janet, I don't see anything wrong with what they are doing, Carly however has no business in their lives. (in their personal business, not the kids) I know this is a lost cause even posting anything about Carly that is not positive, but I really don't understand why everyone always thinks she is being picked on, that she never does anything, and she is always right

I am not a big CARLY fan...but I liked CARLY today. CARLY is the only player in the Janet and Jack wedding business that seems to be working with the most common sense. JACK...yeah...he has been crazy. At times I wonder if he has been playing within his character and instead of always "loving and living with" CARLY and her foibles...now JACK is "loving and living with" JANET and her foibles. LIBERTY is now still the MAN-MANIPULATOR but at least she is getting good grades in the process. PARKER is still a wet noodle. At least he TRIED to spend some of his millions. JANET. I do not blame JANET in wanting a wedding of her dreams....but isn't the BRIDE supposed to be the one whom should pay for some of these things. CASEY rocked. ALISON seemed weak to me...when she tends to be a very powerful character. I guess she seemed to be playing the "victim". I almost wish that this storyline would have had a few more scenes before the attempted jump. |

Actually, not everyone on this board likes Carly (I happen to but not everyone who posts here does) and regardless, you're more than welcome to voice your opinion  As with any character on any show, there are going to be differences of opinion. That's what makes this board great, IMO - the differences can be what makes many of the discussions more interesting. As for what Carly did and how she reacted, here are my thoughts: 1) any parent who finds out that their teenager is forging their signature for ANYTHING is bound to be upset and want their child to realize the potential seriousness of said forgery (a check is a legal document, for example - if Carly wanted to be a complete hard-a**, she could have had Parker arrested )2) Carly always acts before she thinks thing through. Much like Jack and half of Oakdale I get frustrated by the short-sightedness of most of the characters, especially when it's really the fault of the writers and producers, who think audiences love this crap...3) Carly isn't going to like anyone that Jack marries and probably won't be doing cartwheels over the significant others of her children... sounds like a normal ex-wife and mother - to me, at least 4) And while Carly could have greatly benefited from NOT speaking every thought that was in her head, I find it a bit dumb of Jack to not be a bit more concerned that Parker is such a good forger Liberty was a typical wide-eyed teenage girl who was getting what she wanted. Can't blame her for that but I personally think she's using Parker more than she actually cares about him romantically (this is just how I perceive her part of their relationship). Parker seemed less interested in doing what would make Jack or Janet happy as much as I think he wrote the check to have Liberty take more interest in him (and what normal teenage boy wouldn't try it if he could?). Bottom line for me about Carly and Company today - everyone stayed within the limits that they are being written, which may or may not be a good thing.

Janet is annoying me more and more with each passing day. Ugh! I thought Carly was 100% in the "right." Her signature was forged without her permission, for a withdrawal from Parker's trust fund that she did not authorize or allow. Was not taking out the second mortgage enough? I guess no. Carly can do no right in the eyes of Parker, Liberty, Janet, and Jack apparently. Today was a really frustrating episode in my opinion. At least I got to enjoy Casey and Alison scenes. Honestly, if Jack and Janet are so adament at thumbing their collective noses at Carly, perhaps she is better off without Jack, and Jack deserves Janet in the end. I want the OLD Jack back. The one that put Carly first. The one who surprised her with romantic dinners in a van. That Jack. Pre-Amnesia Jack, at the very most. |

Well, it really has little to do with this being a "Carly friendly" board. What Parker did was illegal. Any parent would be upset over that, esp. after she agreed to the second mortgage. It really pissed me off how Jack just shook it off and didn't even think that Parker deserved to go home as a punishment. Then, they sat there like the happy family and ate cake.

Absolutely. The whole thing is insanity. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Twenty grand? Mortgages on your children's home? All so angelic, who-you-were-ready-to-throw-over-for-Carly-a-few-months-ago Janet can live out some lavish childhood fantasy? GMAB! And Jack's cavalier attitude about the whole thing? Just ridiculous. He and Janet are both acting like a couple of doddy headed teenagers. Yes, Carly is not on the Wedding of the Century bandwagon but she still is the only one acting with half a brain in this group. She didn't ask to be involved. Jack AND Parker both brought her in to it by using her name to raise money for the affair. I think her reaction was well within reason. I felt sorry for Carly, having to watch from outside while her son bonded with his "new" family. Giddy Janet and Liberty.. GAWD, and I thought there was nothing worse than squawking JJ! |

I will be so friggin glad when this idiotic wedding is over with. I want Carly FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR away from Jack, Janet, Liberty, Katie, Brad and all these disgusting, righteous and overbearing characters. Please move Carly into a story away from this CRAPOLA. I HATE JACK! I HATE JANET! Put them in a story away from Carly so I can FF them. Carly is my favorite character on this show and I don't want her with these deadbeats!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
