Brad threatens to tell Margo about Craig and Dani working together to set him up, but Craig reminds Brad that if he does that, Katie will be arrested for perjury and Craig will disappear, go off the radar, and Brad will have to live with the uncertainty of what Craig is going to do to get revenge...

Downstairs, Katie's finally spilled all to Carly, about Craig being behind the Spencer stuff, and about him forcing Katie to give him an alibi. Carly's fascinated and tries to give Katie advice, but Katie reminds Carly that all of Carly's manipulations in the past haven't done her much good. :shutup Katie leaves, making Carly promise not to "share" what Katie's told her.

Right after that, Katie runs into Brad, who tells her he's been talking to Craig and knows everything, and he also lets her know that Dani is Craig's partner in crime. Katie's shocked, but still resists when Brad says they've got to tell Margo about everything. They argue about it all the way to Margo's... :lol

Margo hears them arguing outside and brings them into the house. Brad backs off from telling Margo about Craig and Dani, and Margo says that anything he wants to talk about can surely wait until morning. Katie agrees and hustles Brad out the door... :devil

Carly's getting ready to leave the bar when she overhears a bellhop come in and say that Craig Montgomery and the hot chick who ordered a special bottle of champagne, are going to be celebrating. :hmm

Dani's in Craig's room, waiting for the champagne to arrive when Craig dumps her, due to her inappropriate, indiscreet behavior... :shutup He tells her that Brad is onto them, and insists she has to leave town. He opens a suitcase full of $$$ (the same one Spencer had? :huh ) and gives a bunch of $$$ to Dani. She takes it and puts it in her purse, but later convinces Craig they should have "one for the road" and when she's got Craig down on the bed, she holds a gun on him. Apparently the gal carries, and had taken it out of her purse... :shutup

While Dani's playing gun moll and Craig's bargaining for his life, there's a knock on the door. Craig answers it, while Dani hides behind the door, keeping the gun on him. It's Carly at the door, and she's nosing around, trying to see into the room, but Craig tells her that it's really a bad time, "I'm either going to get lucky or get killed..." :lol :lol Then he shuts the door on Carly, talks Dani into putting the gun away, gives her more $$$ and sends her on her way.

Carly's been sneaking around out in the hallway and when she sees Dani leave, she knocks again on Craig's door... He opens it and she pushes her way in, and starts talking to him about cradle robbing, and about what he did with Spencer to Brad and Katie. :hmm Craig asks her if she'll leave if he pours her some champagne, and she says only if he answers one question, "How do you live with yourself?" :hmm

Dani now goes to Margo's and tells her that she has to quit her job, leave town to be with a critically ill friend. Margo tries to get more details, but Dani finally just says that she has to leave, and she does.

Brian's sitting up late reading when Luke comes home from a hike he's taken rather than go to the wedding. Brian finally admits to Luke that he did come on to Luke by kissing him, and that he's sorry, and that even worse than coming on to Luke was trying to make Luke think it hadn't really happened. Of course, Luke is surprised. :eek The two sit down and Luke tells Brian that he needs to admit he's gay. Brian says that he doesn't see the logic in using one word to describe all the things a person is...

Luke wants Brian to admit to Lucinda that he's gay, but Brian doesn't want to. He says that he and Lucinda compliment each other in so many ways, and that they're good together. Luke says, "except in bed..." :shutup Finally, Brian tells Luke, "Don't let one mistake I made with you ruin a relationship that means so much not only to me but to your grandmother, who I know you love." Luke says he doesn't want to hurt Lucinda and he'll keep Brian's secret safe. Brian's glad they cleared the air, and holds out his hand to Luke, asking him, "Are we good, now?" Luke shakes his hand and says yes...

Margo shows up at Brad and Katie's and tells them that Dani's just resigned, sick friend.. :rolleyes She says she's not buying it and asks Brad if he can think of any other reason Dani might leave town. Brad says yeah, maybe she feels guilty and embarrassed about not doing a good job on the Spencer case... Margo knows that there's more going on here than she's aware of, and tells Brad and Katie that if they think of anything else, to let her know.

After she leaves, Brad tells Katie that he understands and forgives her for not being honest with him when she knew that Craig was behind all this, but he says he doesn't want her to ever have anything to do with Craig again, and a grateful Katie promises she won't. :waiting

Craig tells Carly that if she's honest with herself, she'll admit that she admires him, and he holds out a glass of champagne to her. Carly sneers, "There's not enough champagne in the world..." and walks out of the room....

The talk between Brian and Luke was very well done, I thought. :2thumbs

So where will Dani go now, I wonder? :hmm

Previews show Babs telling Paul to take some pills she has for him, in order to get Meg back, the sympathy factor, I guess... :gaah

I thought today was a pretty good episode. Carly and Craig make great nemesis. I hope Dani is gone for good. The show needs to cut out all the unnecessary characters. Dallas should be next.

Thanks for the recap. I took a pass on today's show. I'm so disgusted after last week that I am pretty much on hiatus. I watched a little of the Carly and Craig interaction yesterday and hated it so didn't want to see anymore. I can't see Carly even sharing the same space with him let alone being at all friendly. I think Jon Lindstrom is doing a fine job but I hate the way they are writing Craig with no redeeming qualities and so one dimensional. Perhaps if he showed a little remorse it would help but he doesn't. And as repulsive as Craig is with Dani, to see the way he manhandled her and threatened only made it worse.

I may tune in a few minutes tomorrow to see Jade but otherwise unless Jack and Carly will share scenes I'm done, at least for awhile.

You're right about that and I think that's part of the problem. The pizazz just isn't there.

Actually, although I am forever "brycefan", I'm really liking this Craig! He has just settled himself into the roll seamlessly. He has chemistry with everyone. I think he is the best recast of the year!

No offense, but I think Billy Magnussen as Casey Hughes earned best recast of the year. :muchlove

I agree about Billy/Casey! :2thumbs I was a huge fan of the Casey who Billy replaced, and was surprised when, after kind of a :lame start, Billy soon had me completely won over! :woot

I really like the new Casey, too :2thumbs :2thumbs I was disappointed that Zach didn't come back but have to admit that the new actor has done an excellent job of taking on the role. :2thumbs I think he's one of the best recasts, along with Alison, the show has had in years!

I think the actor playing Craig now is doing a good job - I just think the writing stinks. Yet again, Craig comes back, 1 dimensionally, and the writing could be better.

The only good think with this particular Craig Comeback has been the pretty quick interaction with the various other characters. Frankly, I was at first shocked and then pleased that Craig came back via Katie first. I think the past Craig Comeback's (post-HB) have completely ignored that Craig and Katie are siblings.

I have liked how the actor's cadence, age & appearance, and facial expressions are fitting for the character. Looking back, the Craig 2 cycles back (Jeffrey something?) was a bit to dark haired and deep voiced in relation to Scott Bryce's original. Then again, Hunt Block seemed to be a foot taller than the original Craig... HB really took Craig into his own skin, if that makes sense. I still miss him as Craig!

It would be nice, if nothing else, to show a little bit more about WHY Craig ticks the way he does, other than that he just does.

I remember them trying to delve a bit more into Craig's motivations when HB played the part, but then the writers just seemed to go berserk! :gaah

Hi! everyone. I haven't been on in a while due to hardrive hardships. Anyway, gotta comment about Paul. If he's gonna o.d. on pills like the preview hints, PLEASE get it over with! Can't take anymore Paul on the brink of death. Just get rid of him already! Though it would be too much for Barbara to lose another child. :cry But CZP needs some meaty SL. Let's PLEASE send Paul far, far away to the loony bin in the grand Ryan tradition. Straitjacket would look soooo good on him right now! :devil

Also liking the new Craig and of course he would be paired with Carly 'cause there's no one left in town, especially with Dani gone! I just wish she would come back with her realy Daddy Steve so he can kick Craig's butt! :lol
