Ok, need some help here............. a long time ago Carly was in Hong Kong with some guy ..........Winston??? and Craig (played by Hunt Block at the time) had dealings with the guy regarding some smuggling of microchips in a jewelry (earrings????). What was Carly's relationship to that bad guy? Was she married to him? Or did she marry Craig in order to get back to the U.S.  Would appreciate someone refreshing my memory on this bit of ATWT history. Thanks halways

Carly was kidnapped by the guy and taken to Hong Kong, where I believe she did marry him, under duress, he was threatening to hurt her family. Craig helped get her out of there. Of course, his good intentions quickly went bad.  Winston, the guy Carly was kidnapped by and married to, dropped dead, and Carly was under suspicion. I can't remember if he died of natural causes or if Craig had something to do with his death.

Barb, I thought Craig poisoned Winston. There was a woman who was associated with Winston who "allegedly" helped Craig and Carly but she wasn't good either... Julia #1 played into this by receiving Carly's plea for help via fax and hiding the fax from Jack. I think Craig backed Carly up about having sent the fax when they both returned to Oakdale. I wasn't a big fan of this storyline so I think I've blocked some of it out

Anni, I think you're probably right about Craig poisoning Winston, I'm waiting for Judy to weigh in, too, she always seems to remember this stuff...

Carly was already married to Winston. They wrote a back story that Carly had married Winston when she had been in Hong Kong previously when Maura had left the show when she had her first child. Carly had been wrongfully imprisoned when it was really the accountant that had embezzled money. Winston blackmailed Carly by saying he would get her out of there if she married him. Winston then later kidnapped Carly when she was about to marry Jack by threatening both Jack and Parker if she told. She was held in Hong Kong when Craig appeared there to see Winston regarding the deal with the microchips. Craig would not help Carly get away because there was nothing in it for him. Winston died of a heart attack. Carly took Craig's airline ticket and I think some money out of his suit coat pocket as a way to get home. The microchip deal continued back in Oakdale and Craig got Carly to help him by threatening to turn her over to the authorities in Hong Kong and say that she had killed Winston. Perhaps the person you are thinking of Craig poisoning was the Chinese woman I think named Mei Ling that was involved and in the jail at the OPD. Craig gave her something there and she was later found dead in her cell. |

Thank you all for the history help.  A couple of more question regarding that time: 1. Was that the first time Hunt Block appeared as Craig? 2. What was the name of the actor that played Winston? The reason I started even thinking about this was while watching Carly and this nuCraig in his room with the champange the other day. I began to try and remember their history. So thanks again for everyone's help. (BTW: Scott Bryce is the only Craig to me, so I really don't remember other storylines with Hunt or whomever playing Craig)  halways  |

Well, halways, then it won't bother you when I tell you that I can't remember if that was the first time HB appeared as Craig. You'd think I'd remember, because I loved HB's Craig, but even he can't keep this memory sharp... Judy will know.

I think Hunt first played Craig when he "rescued" Carly from Hong Kong. That was when Craig and Carly's cat and mouse flirting started. While they had sex a couple of times, they never had any kind of romance. I hope tptb are not planning a romantic coupling for them. They were always best when just flirting. Wish I could remember the actor's name who played Lowe. Can't even find him on line!

Yes Hunt Block did first appear as Craig in Hong Kong when he ran into Carly but didn't rescue her  I don't remember either who played Lowe. I can picture him but don't remember the name. |
