I think I have been less happy with the writing of ATWT during the last month more so than usual. I still watch every episode and only ONCE in the last couple of weeks...I have FF through about 25% of the show....when I just could not fathom that I need to waste time when nothing truly materializes on the screen. I BELIEVE ATWT is still the BEST THING on TV....daytime or nighttime. No REPEATS!!. A great cast. A SEASONED collection of characters that still exist. EASILY wins my heart than anything else available on the boob tube. I will read the recap sometimes...but tend to gravitate more to the comments that follow. And NOT because the RECAP is bad...I just want to minimize any SPOILING of watching the hours of Oakdale as much as possible. But if I wait too long for to view an hour...then Barb's recaps are the best thing to keep me happy until I have enough free time to watch. So after viewing the last three days of Oakdale.... My heart is being touched by..... BARBARA Ryan. It is always a treasure to see a GRANDMOTHER react. I just hope we get quality screen time with EMMA. PAUL Ryan. Surprise. Surprise. Surprise. As many times that PAUL has screeched across the stage....I am still surprised how much I am enjoying PAUL. LUKE Snyder. VH just rocks. CARLY Snyder. MW rocks...and it will be interesting her next chapter in this saga. JACK Snyder. JackLuster#13 is not about ready to throw in the towel. He will be back in his true GMan persona. So far....nuJADE Taylor. I hate to state something like this but she is just YOUNGER than oldJade. nuJADE has already appeared to be "more 19" than LIBERTY. As much as I admire GRAYSON.... DUSTY is just a BLANK SLATE. When you have a great actor like GRAYSON...I just wish that the soap screen could provide DUSTY with something that allows him to show his true colors. A knight in shing armor.... boring. Will he add some dimension when his "son" returns?? I think THAT is even a tough item to sale. It is amazing that even becoming a STENBECK HEIR nothing really happened.....except that he was "conned" so easily by JOSEY. DERRICK. Finally DERRICK might be given some substance and it might be fun to watch him become a daddy. BONNIE....has alot of potential but she just needs JESSICA....or even her father. LILY. Can she really perform with so much ROSE in the storyline?? I would be very happy if she does emotionally reconnect with ROSE. EVEN play ROSE in a dream sequence....but I just do not know if she has the cajones to deliver. A new year...more drama should bring back everyone else. |

I totally agree with you on Dusty. I'm so tired of the "saving the damsel in distress" persona. I think Grayson is a terrific actor and is being wasted with the writing for him. |

I agree with you on pretty much everything. I do still sorta like Dusty, though. And I am getting tired of Luke. ITA re: Jack and Carly. Still love 'em, if though the writing for them is leaving alot to be desired. And I am one of the weird ones who likes both Carly and Janet. |
