 When Margo finds out that Casey's going on a date with Maddie, she's glad that he's seeing somebody besides one of those Stewart women.  Maddie shows up and gets a hug from Margo before Margo leaves for work. Then Maddie tells Casey that she wants them to just stay at the house for their date.  It's not long before she's making moves on Casey, who's just not into it. They talk awhile and he tells her about having been married to Emily!  Maddie moves past that and gets back into stalker mode with Casey, who says he wants to take things slow. Maddie says the trouble is that she's not in town for long. She tells Casey that since their relationships with other people went bad, maybe that means that the two of them were meant to be together. Maddie seems to be having a big time image issue and Casey seems.... well, who knows...  Vienna shows up at the diner dressed to the 9's and tells Henry she wants him to go on a treasure hunt, and she's got a treasure hidden in her dress.  Henry searches and finds a reservation to a getaway for the two of them. Vienna's got everything planned, even costumes.  Luke's at the police station begging Jade to forgive him for getting her into this situation.  Bonnie comes to Lily and Holden's and tells them that Derek's back in town and brought Robbie back from Florida and is taking him to the police station. They may have Jade home for the holidays. Of course, Lily insists on going down to the police station. When they arrive, there's chaos and Robbie manages to grab Jade and use her as a hostage, holding a knife to her throat. Margo does her usual stellar (cough, cough) job of talking Robbie down, but it takes Derek to get ahold of Robbie and get the knife away from him. Of course, Margo's not pleased.  In a very short time, Robbie's been questioned and corroborated Jade's version of the robbery. Robbie will be extradited to Florida, Jade can stay in Oakdale until she has to testify, and she's been granted immunity. (And they all lived happily ever after! )Jade doesn't seem to be very grateful to Derek, and she keeps asking Lily why Derek did this. Nothing Lily says to her satisfies her, so finally Lily says that Derek knew Rose. This quiets Jade down a little, but she says she still knows there's more to this.  Lily takes Jade home, but Luke says he'll be home later. Casey and Maddie walk into Java on their date. (A very short date. ) Maddie manages to tell Noah that Casey is being weird and is saying he wants to "take things slow". She can't figure it out. In the flash of an eye, Casey is saying he's got to go to the mall and shop and doesn't want Maddie to come with him. Noah invites him to party with them on New Year's Eve, and he can't get out of it when Maddie says that Henry's letting them in for free... After Casey leaves, Maddie and Noah are sitting in Java talking about life and relationships. Noah tells Maddie that it will be good for Luke to see her with Casey on NYE, because Luke is jealous. Maddie brushes that off, but then Luke walks in, sees them, and turns around and leaves. Noah takes off after him...Noah catches up with Luke, who goes into his whiney, insecure mode, when Noah asks what's wrong, Luke says Noah, but then moves off that subject and starts feeling better when Noah promises they'll have time to be to themselves on NYE.  Lily's trying to figure out how to find out if Derek's Jade's father and Holden says that if anybody is to ask, it should be Jade. So now Lily's trying to figure out how to get Jade to ask Derek. Bonnie and Derek are catching their breaths at Metro when Jade bursts in and tells Derek she has to talk to him. He tells her that no, she doesn't, and walks out. Jade asks Bonnie what everybody else knows that she doesn't...  Bonnie doesn't tell her...So now Bonnie tells Derek he's making a mistake by not talking to Jade, but Derek won't change his mind. Back at Lily's Jade tells Lily and Holden that she went to talk to Derek but that he wouldn't talk to her. Then she blurts out, "he's my father, isn't he!" Lily says they don't know for sure, but they think he could be... Casey goes to the police station and of course Margo thinks he got into trouble, but he tells her that he's confused about why he doesn't want to jump back into things with Maddie. Margo says maybe it's because Maddie isn't old enough to be his mother. Then they talk seriously and Margo says she's proud of him for being careful with Maddie and his feelings. She tells Casey that if he decides he doesn't want to be a couple with her anymore, to tell her and not leave her on the hook. Meanwhile, Maddie's out shopping for the perfect dress, one that will really wow a special guy! Well, just as I didn't like the character of Jade when she first appeared in Oakdale, I'm not liking her again this time.  I found nulily today just as irritating and annoying as I used to find oldlily when she got all frantic and interferring...  Previews showed, among other things, nulucy and Johnny, and ftlog, could they have found an actress who doesn't look like she's about 12? |

I think the greatest line of the year was when Casey was speaking to Margo about Maddie and said "How come I'm not home having sex with her right now?" It was like we got a little of the dumb Casey back for a second (he's always been slow, but this one takes the cake!) and I loved Margo's reaction shot to that. |

I caught the previews today and she does look very young. I believe the actress is actually 27 but she looks much younger and they aren't trying to make her look any older. I saw a suggestion on another board that she should have been Maddie since nuMaddie looks too old for the role. |

OK, so I'm not liking Jade...sorry, just not enjoying her at all. And, I'm not liking nuMaddie. Looks aside, she just doesn't seem to have the likable Maddie personality. All she wants it to jump Casey? It just doesn't seem to fit her and I found her irritating. The preview! Oh good gried, Lucy looks like a little kid sitting there...and how much did they age Johnny? The best part is seeing Carly tomorrow

NuMaddie is too old, NuLucy is too young and NuJade is definitely too young. The last thing Jade said about Derek being her father, I could imagine Elena Goode saying the same line and doing it with much more conviction. I wonder if this girl has any acting background 'cause she seems like they just brought her in off the street!  Also the Maddie I remember would have been just as cautious with Casey as he was with her. Why would Maddie want to start up something when she will have to go back to school in a week? For some reason Maddie now wants to live it up as if there's no tomorrow. Though if she and Casey were committed it would give him something to work towards. I think with Casey he thinks he's just not in her "league." So now that he's a janitors assistant, who is in his league a nurse's aide, or the cashier in the cafeteria? Its not like he has many options here!

A thought about Maddie wanting to sleep with Casey so soon could be that maybe she is pregnant and wants to claim Casey as the father? Stranger things have been known to happen on this show... |

Your theory seems possible 'cause the name of her boyfriend who broke up with her, "Dave" was mentioned. Whenever they mention a person's name on the show they usually show up or suddenly have some important role in the story. So maybe Maddie found out she was pregnant by Dave and when he broke up with her she couldn't bring herself to tell him the news. Then to lessen the impact when telling Henry, or in the interest of finding a decent father she figured better to be pregnant by Casey.
