Meg's holding Eliza in her arms when Dusty comes in with a toy, and Alison right behind him. After Meg gives Meg a little baby gift, she leaves and Meg asks Dusty to go find a doctor to check her out so that she and Eliza can be home for Christmas. Dusty does just that, and is soon taking Meg and Eliza out to the farm. :biggrin

Jack comes in, on the phone with Sage, who's spending Christmas Eve at Lily and Holden's house. JJ's staying at school over Christmas, to go skiing... Jack had planned on doing the usual Christmas Eve stuff, pizza and early to bed, but Janet has other plans. :hmm

She has the door to the farmhouse loaded down with bells, and she and Liberty are busy in Emma's kitchen cooking up a huge Italian feast. :shutup She and Jack muddle around a little bit, and then she tells him she's got a special gift for Jack. She goes to get it, and Liberty tells Jack to be sure and react well when he sees the gift. :devil Turns out the gift is a butt ugly bright green sweater with a reindeer head on it. :lol Jack gamely puts on the sweater, and insists on wearing it over to Carly's to get Parker.

Parker's a little worried about Carly being alone on Christmas Eve, but she tells him she'll be fine. There's a knock at the door, and it's Craig! First Carly won't let him in, but Parker says he wants to talk to Craig, so in he comes. Craig's loaded down with gifts. Parker asks Craig if he's the one who tried to kill Paul, and Craig two steps around it, saying he's not responsible for what happened, and that he's been cleared by the police. :waiting

Jack arrives and isn't happy to see Craig there, of course, and Carly knows it. So she offers Craig some eggnog and acts glad to have him there. :devil Parker and Jack leave, Jack in a foul mood, and soon, Carly notices that Parker hasn't taken the Christmas gifts he has for people out to the farm. Craig decides he should drive her to the farm, so off they go. :hmm

Parker and Liberty have left, supposedly to go caroling. :lol :lol :lol Of course they're not. Parker wants to have some time alone with Liberty to give her a Christmas gift. It's a charm bracelet with a skateboard charm on it. Liberty's feeling bad because she got him a book... :shutup Then she tells Parker she can't keep the bracelet. :huh Parker says that he knows she still has feelings for him, and there's some mistletoe so Parker dares her to kiss him and then say she doesn't feel anything. So, Liberty does... nope, she says, nothing... :shutup

Jack's stomping around Emma's kitchen, telling Janet about Craig being at Carly's and how Craig is a troublemaker and Jack doesn't want him around my kids! :rolleyes Suddenly, Craig and Carly show up and for some reason Janet invites them to stay for some cookies she made, and some of Emma's elderberry wine. :wacko Carly's kind of enjoying Jack's discomfort, and he drags her outside and starts acting Jackish... :donkey ... they end up having their usual bitter/sweet squabble....

Once everybody's back inside, more people show up. It's Meg, Dusty and Eliza. :smack Dusty's not happy to see Craig there, of course. Craig is just kind of doing his own thing, as usual, getting in little wisecracks here and there... :shutup He asks to hold Eliza, and Meg lets him. He's overwhelmed with the baby, he's forgotten Eliza and Johnny are cousins... reluctantly he hands Eliza back to Meg, and he and Carly leave.

Jack throws a little fit, pulling down the bells on the kitchen door. :lol Janet tells him that despite everything that's happened tonight, this is still their first Christmas. Jack knows she's right, but needs some time to calm down and get back in the Christmas spirit.

When Craig and Carly get home, Carly tells him she realizes how sad he must feel, and he tells her she has no idea how she feels. "Look on your mantle. (kids' pictures) My children are gone." He wonders, if he passed Johnny on the street, would he even recognize him? :cry

Alison's gotten a mysterious text messaging, asking her to meet the sender at the mall. When she shows up, she finds Lucy and Johnny! :eek Lucy tells her that Johnny needs a bone marrow transplant, and asks Ali to get them a room at The Lakeview. Ali says that Dusty and Craig are both staying there, and Lucy says that's why it's safe. They'd never think to look for her there. :rolleyes :pullhair :smack So Lucy gives Ali money and Ali gets the room, and Lucy and Johnny check in.

While Johnny dozes, Lucy tells Ali that she wants her to figure out a way to find out if certain people in Oakdale would be a match for Johnny. She has a list of family who could possibly match. Ali is shocked at what Lucy's asking her to do. Johnny awakens and asks if it's Christmas yet... Lucy starts talking to Ali about how hard it's been, being on the run. She says that they always sleep in their clothes the first night anywhere, in case they have to fun. :rolleyes She tells Ali all the things she's done already - managing to find out that Will's not compatible, and neither is Lucy. She says that Ali could say she's got a friend with a kid who needs a transplant, and have an excuse to check people's blood... Suddenly Lucy breaks into singing Silent Night to Johnny, and says that he's her life.... :waiting Ali says she'll do what Lucy wants her to do. :gaah

At the same time Lucy's holding Johnny and singing, Carly and Craig are having more eggnog and looking at Carly's tree.

Meg tells Dusty that when she saw Craig's reaction to Eliza, she couldn't help but feel his pain. Then she tells Dusty that she knows how he's feeling right now, but that Eliza is HER daughter, and can't take Johnny's place. Dusty says he knows, and leaves, sadly. Soon, we see him, too, sadly staring at a Christmas tree....

Previews look good, the elevator at The Lakeview opens and Johnny's standing there, as Josey is getting on. He sees her and cries out, "Mommy!" :cry

We also see Craig walking past Lucy's room just as Ali is coming out the door... :hmm

I liked the show, but I wish it could have been more like some of the other Christmas shows I watched today, soaps, and been more about Christmas....

Thanks for posting on Christmas Eve! In the previews, I think it's actually Craig that walks by the door when Ali's coming out.
I wasn't thrilled with the show today, but I must say, even though I hate to admit it, I do like Carly and Craig together. I think the NuLucy looks more like what the NuMaddie should like. The age though, just doesn't work for me. I don't really know what age she's supposed to be, but like you said in an earlier post, couldn't they find someone who doesn't look twelve!!!
Happy Holidays and here's to a 2009 CarJack reunion!!!

I thought the show was horrible. It was just depressing. Couldn't they have shown somebody happy for Christmas? I even just walked out of the room at one point.

I don't like nuCraig. He's just too bland and monotone. And I didn't feel the least bit sorry for him. I wanted Carly to remind him that her sister was missing thanks to him. And I don't like that once again it looks like they'll make Jack a buffoon to prop Craig :cuss Janet was as obnoxious as ever. I did like that for once Parker showed some concern for his mother.

It was ridiculous to hear that JJ was still at school since they told us a couple of weeks ago that he didn't start there until next month. That's just sloppy writing.

I did think the actress playing nuLucy seemed good but I agree she looks very young.

This show sadly didn't make me want to start watching on a regular basis again.

I was disappointed in that I wanted a Christmas show that had some warmth to it and that we didn't get. Instead we get Jack looking like a fool and mooning over Carly even if he won't admit it (which I do want him missing her!) but that sweater...goodness! I just didn't get a happy fee for today's show. And where's Emma? I'm sure it's been said but I missed it.

I'm liking the actress playing Lucy but not sure if I like her as Lucy.

You're right, Ali, it WAS Craig who walked past the door. :wacko I think I had Dusty on the brain cause I really liked his hair today. :biggrin

I didn't hear where Emma is, either, it could have been mentioned at the very beginning, but I didn't get in on that. Surely she wouldn't be out of town with Eliza being born and all, would she?

I wish there had been more of the other families, and an old fashioned prayer/toast like they used to do. Other than that--I loved the show! This new Craig is really working for me. Loved how everyone showed up at the farm. Loved how Craig was being the devil on Carly's shoulder. One thing bothered me--wasn't that the first time Janet had met Dusty??? I was hoping for more fanfare, because I actually would like those two to be together some day. Not impressed with nuLucy3. Peyton List will always be Lucy to me. But I like the reason she returned.

And a Merry Christmas to everyone!

I tell ya, Lucy Montgomery, aka Dr Montgomery, scares the heck out of me if I try and translate her into real life! :wacko The very idea of her taking Johnny and staying away with him all this time, becoming so obsessesed with him, and even now, when he needs a bone marrow transplant, instead of coming out in the open to get the kid the best medical care possible, she resorts to having Alison concoct a fake blood drive? :flip lid :wacko This is a person supposedly mature and together enough to be a physician, and in an accelerated program, no less. GMAB! :pullhair

And talking, in front of Johnny about this, and saying that Craig would kill Dusty, or Dusty would kill Craig, whatever... poor little kid! :cry Lucy is nuts. :rolleyes
