This Johnnie story needs to be ended now, right now!!! Medically it is stupid along with all the characters involved in it!! Lucy should be arrested for child endangerment. She couldn't even take care of an ant, much less a child. Not only for kidnapping Johnny in the first place but for the way she is going about getting the bone marrow. Lucy also needs to keep her big mouth shut when she is around Johnny. When she is discussing the situation with Ally (the Vampire of Oakdale) she talks in front of Johnny. Lucy talks about Craig killing Dusty and the seriousness of the whole situation. She needs to stop talking like that in front of Johnnie. Lucy should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law both for kidnapping and child endangerment. The child is ill and needs to be in a hospital, not a hotel room! What kind of life could Johnny have lead in the last few years, running here and there. No wonder his health has suffered. Then there is Ally. Now I really like Ally but her trip through Oakdale sucking the blood from Johnnie's relatives is STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!! And it's obvious she only wants the blood from Johnny's relatives. Ally has had enough problems and now she's participating in a complete fraud. And her taking the blood from these donors is done in such an unsterilized and unsanitary way. All these sample are compromised. The topper was her taking Paul's blood as he's strapped to the bed in the mental unit. Give me a friggin break. How could someone in the mental ward be able to give informed consent about taking their blood! I also fully expected Ally to tackle Craig in the hallway of the Lakeview to get his blood sample. I want to know how Ally can set about doing a bone marrow drive for a child with no authority from anyone at the hospital. Things like that need to be approved by management. She's going to get herself in trouble again. She'll be moping the floors with Casey if she keeps this up. And don't you think someone is going to recognize the picture of the supposed sick child "Jackie." Someone is going to figure it out. And when they get the right donor, just how are they planning to do the bone marrow transplant without donor knowing. Are they just going to extract Craig's (I'm betting he's the match) bone marrow (it's much more complicated than a blood transfusion) and give it to Johnnie without anyone being the wiser. (I know, I know everyone will know soon, but still this is STUPID!!!!!!!!!! with a capital S!!!!!!!!!!!) And Dusty is really, really, really getting on my nerves with his actions lately. Dusty is not the aribitrator of what is right or wrong or who does what or who helps who in Oakdale. He needs to shut the hell up. Josie can do what she wants when she wants and with who she wants. Paul is mental but then so is Dusty. Dusty needs to get a life! What is wrong with the people who write this show?????????????????? |

I guess Dusty is the one who we're supposed to want to get Johnny back but he's looking every bit as despicable as Craig. He wants the world to stop because he doesn't have his Johnny but he has no qualms about making sure Paul never sees Eliza or Craig never sees Johnny. Not that he doesn't have reason, but to appoint himself arbiter of who does and does not get to see their children is outta control. It may not be the best thing for Craig and Paul to have full access to their children but they still have legal rights and that's for a court to decide so again STFU Dusty!! |

Patty, I wish I knew what was wrong with the writers. Taking stupid pills? Just being lazy? Seeing how bac they can make things? Take your pick.... The Lucy stuff is beyond stupid....it has not sense or logic to it. Just bad all around. Same with what they have Ali doing...it was painful to watch. Dusty is getting very annoying.... Previews don't have me excited either..... I thought I'd look forward to Dusty reuniting with Johnny but now I'm not so sure. |

The writing now seems to be all about going back to 2006 with the exception of Paul going totally nuts(well, clinically at least)! What's so weird about Alli and Lucy is at first I couldn't remember why Lucy would contact her or even think of her and then I remembered back when Jessica Dunphy played Ali and Peyton List played Lucy. But with the current actresses at first it was like, WTF. Ali referred to the barn burning and that jogged my memory. I think the secrecy of the donations is dumb but Lucy's paranoia about Craig and Dusty is equally dumb. If we are to think like "Aunt Lulu" then this is a desperate situation that calls for desperate measures.  But the idiocy of Johnny waking out the door by himself makes Lucy seem incapable to care for him. I bet this will come up later in a custody hearing.  Of course next week according to previews Josie and Dusty figure out that Johnny and Lucy are in town and Ali tells Katie that she's a match so I think she tells her the whole truth and to not tell Craig. I have a feeling everyone will have to take sides between Craig and Dusty. IN order for Dusty to get Johnny back Craig will have to be kept in the dark, which is also dumb! Let's face it, Margo will discover the truth bring everyone in and force a custody hearing eventually so why put off the inevitable? Oh yeah, to stretch out a thin storyline!  I would not be surprised if tptb are writing Ali so she gets in enough trouble to be in the same loser status as Casey so they'll be in the same "league" They already showed in previews Casey waiting in bed for her, looking as if he were naked. Then I guess it will be about two losers working their way up together. Not a bad idea except for the stupid way they sunk to the bottom, stuffing a ballot box and running a fake blood drive all for the "right reasons!"!

Thank you, Patty, for starting this bitchfest.  After I watched Friday's show, I was actually just so disgusted and horrified that I couldn't bring myself to do a recap, since all it would have been was :$%#& and  !I agree with everything everybody's said. Never have I been one to say I wouldn't watch the show because of a particular storyline, or because of a favorite character leaving or being recast, but I tell ya, this blood donating, Johnny stuff has me to that point. As a viewer, I feel insulted that the writers could even write such crap, much less think that I'd be buying it, and then to think that they're making big $$$ doing it.   |

I just watched the previews for next week and thought I would read comments to see if I wanted to watch the show and I'm thinking not. The stories are really an insult to the viewers and since they are predominantly involving newbies or characters that have been used very little, then who cares? Carolyn Hinsey had a comment about all the newbies on ATWT this week in her SOD column and I had to agree with her. She talked about when we see nuCraig and nuLucy talking to a Jennifer look alike, why should we care? Maybe if they made the stories compelling it would be one thing, but when the writing insults the viewers why bother? And then they ignore history that viewers remember. In the preview for next year JP says in regards to the custody issue that the way it was left was Dusty had custody. Well that's not true. Craig had paid a judge off and was getting custody of Johnny returned which is why precipitate Lucy leaving rather than Craig have custody of him. That's just stupid if they can't even look up the transcripts if they don't remember! |

Judy, thanks for jogging my memory about Johnny's custody. Patty and I were on the phone the other day trying to remember that and we only could get as far as remembering that Craig was in jail and had signed away his rights.... we had forgotten about him paying off the judge, but now I remember. We did know that Lucy took off with Johnny because she didn't want Craig to get custody. Which I could understand in a way, but it was still a really unbalanced and wrong thing to do... And as you said, the writers need to get this stuff right.

The casting department seriously messed up (despite their awesome casting of Kristine as Josie). I mean when I "see" nuLucy, I don't see "Lucy." The actress is pretty, but she has a baby-face. She actually should have been cast as nuMaddie in my opinion. Then, when I see nuMaddie, I see a sexy woman, who would have worked better as nuLucy. Lol!  That said, I really like the actress that plays nuLucy. She's pretty good. I don't like nuMaddie at all. I am hoping the rumors that she is just here for the holidays, to mix things up with Nuke, and tie up her storyline with Casey are true- and that she'll return to college once the holidays have past. I'm not interested in nuMaddie, and her throwing herself at Casey was pathetic. I'm more interested in Alison/Casey anyway. So the show is on a great roll though! Spencer is gone, and so is Dani. Hopefully Brian is next, and then Maddie, and maybe Janet and Liberty to follow.

I think that Alison going around taking blood from people at random is beyond stupid! A nurses aid can not do such a thing! She also would need the hospital lab to do the test and they wouldn't without going through proper channels. Just stupid! Also I agree about Lucy putting Johnny in more danger than if she would just take him to a hospital. The writers should not expect their audience to accept this stuff.
