Meg's got Eliza with her at Al's and Dusty comes in and sits down with her. They start talking about parenthood, and high school. Supposedly, they were in home ec. together and did the thing where they had a watermelon to take care of as if it was a baby... Of course, Paul gets talked about, and Johnny....Josey and Barbara are visiting Paul and Josey tries to get Paul to remember more about where Johnny is besides "parachutes and airplanes"... No luck, but he swears he's not lying. Outside of Paul's room, Meg appears and gets Barbara to agree to give a blood sample. ![]() Josey decides that Dusty should know what Paul said about airplanes and parachutes, so she goes looking for him and finds him and Meg in Old Town. Dusty isn't happy to see her, and even less happy when she starts telling him about Paul and his visions.... Meg tells Dusty that he should at least go talk to Paul, so the three of them head over to the psych ward. Paul tells Dusty about what he "saw" but when he can't go into anymore detail, Dusty starts to angrily leave... Paul tells him to wait, wait... now he "sees" a lion. A fed-up Dusty says, "I'm done!" He doesn't want to hear anymore of Paul's rantings.... Dusty leaves and Meg says she wants to stay and show off Eliza to her friends at the hospital. Paul sees her and wants to have her come in, so Barbara goes out into the hall. Meg won't go into Paul's room, or let Babs take Eliza in, although she lets Babs hold Eliza. Barbara goes back into Paul's room. He's sad, knowing that Meg doesn't want him to see Eliza... Barbara says that everything will change and be better if he can just hurry and get well... Next Ali pops in at the Lakeview and talks to Lucy. Johnny's asleep, time is getting short. Ali MUST get Craig to agree to give a blood sample. Ali asks Lucy if she thinks it's fair to keep Johnny from Dusty. Lucy says she has no choice. ![]() Maddie's at Metro looking at her new dress when Casey walks in. He tells her he's got to have dinner with his parents before they go out that night, and she says she remembers that tradition. Henry appears and notices that Casey doesn't seem all that much into Maddie, but Maddie insists that they're going to be a couple again. Henry tries to talk some sense into Maddie, using himself and Katie as an example, but nope... not happening.... Later, Maddie, dressed and made up, tells Henry to have a ball on his romantic getaway with Vienna, and Henry kisses her and tells her to have a good time.... Later, Maddie fantasizes about her and Casey dancing and kissing while "their" song plays in the background.... ![]() Ali calls Casey and asks him if she can get a blood sample. He's about to step into the shower, but tells her to come on over. When she gets there, he answers the door wrapped in a towel, and he and Ali do some cute flirting, then Ali gets down to the business of taking blood. When Ali learns that Casey's going to be at Metro that night with Maddie, she feels something, something like... jealousy... She tells him that she's got a date for that night, too.... When Johnny wakes up, he wants to go outside, so Lucy bundles him up and they're sitting on a bench in Old Town. Johnny's got his stuffed lion with him. Lucy calls Ali and asks her to go up to the room and check out something on her computer, an anonymous donor registry. Ali stops at the desk and gets an extra key, since after all, the room IS registered in her name. Casey happens to see her and gets the guy at the desk to tell him which room Ali's going to, and Casey follows her upstairs and knocks on the door. She quickly picks up anything pointing to Lucy and Johnny and opens the door.... Casey asks her what she's doing there, and first she makes up a story that she rented the room so she could get ready for the party at Metro there... Casey says he doesn't believe that, so then she says that she rented it because of him.... Casey says oh yeah? Prove it, so Ali jumps his bones and locks her lips on his like she's never gonna stop. ![]() Josey sees Lucy and Johnny in Old Town, and once again, Johnny runs up to her and calls her mommy.... Josey tells Lucy that she's the one who found Johnny the other day at the Lakeview and Lucy thanks her. Lucy tells Johnny they have to go back to the room, and Johnny says, "Lulu, I don't want to..." Josey says, "Oh, you're not his mother?" and Johnny says, "She's lu...." Lucy grabs Johnny and they leave. Josey goes to Memorial and tells a nurse she knew a Dr Lucy Montgomery and wonders if it's the same doctor who used to be on staff there. The nurse lets Josey look at pictures of the staff, and Josey sees Lucy's picture and gasps, "Oh, my god!" She calls Dusty, but he's in his office, discouraged after talking to his investigator and not getting any leads on Johnny, and he doesn't take the call.... ![]() Hopefully this recap will be in order, the show had lots and lots of short, choppy scenes today. ![]() I really thought, today, that numaddie is a beautiful woman... not Maddie, but a beauty. ![]() Can't help it, I felt sorry for Paul. And Barbara. ![]() This stuff about the hotel room being registered to Alison, but she's never there and Lucy and Johnny are.... uh..... ![]() My gosh, Dusty sure swings back and forth in the way he treats Josey, doesn't he? |

I really love Josie now. She's like the only one in this whole mess who's on the ball. Dusty better be kissing her feet after this. Dusty is officially the BIGGEST prick in Oakdale, worse than Jack, worse than Craig. Him and Meg commiserating together made me wanna I really don't give a rip what Jennifer wanted, him acting like Johnny is his property is disgusting. He doesn't deserve to have Johnny back, if Jennifer saw what he's become I don't think she'd think so either.

Every time I see Dumb and Dumber (Ally and Lucy) conducting their bone marrow tests, I want to scream. What I want to know is when they do find a match, just how do they plan to do the transplant? It is not an easy procedure and there is pain for the both the patient and the donor. Are Dumb and Dumber planning to just syphon off as much of Craig's bone marrow as they need to help Johnny and then Lucy and Johnny will be on their way again??? There is no reason not to have Johnny in a hospital and have all these tests and the final donation done there. Johnny's health should be more important then keeping him away from Craig or Dusty. Lucy is an IDIOTIC and should lose her medical license (which she shouldn't have had anyway). We've called the Oakdale police department the keystone cops, well Lucy is a keystone doctor. I really, really, really hope that the character of Lucy leaves the show as soon as Johnny is discovered. |

Not only that, but how are they testing the blood samples to try to find a match? It's a fairly complicated test ... you don't just check out the blood and say, "Hey, she's A-negative, that'll work." They test for six markers and they want all six to match. (I was tested as a possible bone marrow donor a couple of years ago, but it turned out only four of the markers matched, so it didn't go any further than that.) And there's also *expense* involved in testing the blood samples ... no hospital lab is going to do it without the hospital knowing who to bill. Alison couldn't just walk into the lab and ask somebody to do it. And Alison going on TV with a phony story about a non-existent kid needing a bone marrow transplant might be grounds for a fraud charge ... except she's not profitting from it, so I guess not even Margo is going to charge her with anything. -Kara |

Dusty was such an ass today. I can't believe the way he treated Josie. I hope she slaps the crap out of him if he ever talks that way again. If the spoilers are any indication, Meg and Dusty deserve each other. Their both asses! Felt bad for Paul crying today. I hope that Emily comforts him.

Josie is the most likeable character right now because she's the only sane one on the show. She is also the only one able to observe and make rational choices. Meg is too scared of Paul to let Eliza near him, Dusty is too angry to forgive Paul and Josie and Barbara is too distraught over Paul's condition and Paul is well...out of his mind. Of course there's no excuse for Lucy and Ali's insanity. Lucy could have taken Johnny to the hospital and be just as secretive as she was at the Lakeview. After all there is such a thing as a patient's right to privacy. But this is one storyline that's being stretched out too long. Would have been more interesting to have Lucy and Johnny come out of hiding at the moment they came to town and then deal with all the issues eg. Lucy's kidnapping charges, Johnny's health issues, custody issues dealt with immediately. Instead we have this stupid donor thing which is just ridiculous! Also It looks like Paul is in the same hospital room when he was only supposed to be held for 72 hours before being committed. he should be in the psych ward but it looks like the same place he was Christmas Eve. I know they have a set budget but jeesh! Also I wonder if Dusty and Josie would be allowed in the psych ward anyway and they needed to be in the scene. If tptb would just have had Lucy and Johnny stop running when they first came to town and go right to the hospital we could have been spared this visions of Johnny crap! I would rather have seen time spent on Paul's illness while at a mental facility instead of "Vampire Ali" They only have hints of it like when Paul cried over not seeing his child. There's actual storyline potential with Paul dealing with his illness instead of continuing his destructive behavior. Now with his visions he's more like a circus freak! While Paul being committed can allow Meg to move on and I like her moving on with Dusty, I know it will be torture for Paul to lose her to his nemesis.

It's ironic that now that Paul actually IS insane, he has more reason to be worried about Meg & Dusty than when he was semi-normal. I think it was stupid to have Paul have the visions while being committed. The visions (though weird) were always supposed to appear to be very real and un-sci-fi-like but now it just makes Paul look even more crazy. |
