Well, moving as fast as most things do in Oakdale, Lucy, Johnny and Dusty sneak up the stairs in Memorial. Ali's busy running around setting up testing for a mini transplant.  Dr Green will do it. Meanwhile, Katie's in an exam room, waiting for final tests. Craig's at the hospital for some reason, and sees that Katie's in the exam room. He immediately goes in there and demands to know what she's there for. Of course, nobody's telling Craig the time of day, much less what's really going on....  Ali gets Dusty, Lucy and Johnny into an exam room across from Katie's. Then she goes into the room and starts trying to get Craig away from the hospital by convincing him to give a blood sample, and when he finally agrees, she starts leading him down the stairs and then says that they've got to do it at Java, cause that's where she left her blood drawing stuff. About then Craig says enough....Katie decides she has to call Brad and tell him what she wants to do. Lucy tries to talk her out of it, but Dusty tells Katie to go ahead, so next thing you know, Brad's there, yelling at Katie that this is too dangerous for her to do. THEN Craig shows up outside the exam room again, so Brad's sent out there to get him away from there, which he does after some really funny dialog between Craig and Brad.  Brad wants to take Craig to the diner for some BBQ soup, which Craig says "sounds like something you'd eat in prison..." Instead of going to the diner, though, Craig wants to go to the Lakeview, so they do, but there's no civilized lunch of any kind, since Brad puts all his cards on the table to Craig - stay away from Katie or Brad will hunt Craig down and....  At Memorial, Katie and Johnny are having their tests and Lucy and Dusty are out in the hallway and Lucy's pleading with Dusty not to take Johnny away from her. She begs him to take her with him if he leaves town with Johnny, and Dusty agrees. Dr Green says everything looks good, for a mini-transplant, but there are things to be done, medications to be taken, to prepare.... He leaves and Dusty and Lucy decide to have the transplant done in Chicago, to avoid Craig. They go to tell Katie, who's in bed in the exam room. She tells them that she doesn't think it's fair that Craig doesn't know his son is ill..... Brad comes into Katie's room as she finishes dressing and she tells him the transplant will happen in Chicago. She tells BRad she thinks it's wrong to keep this from Craig, but Brad isn't hearing it and in a shocked voice says, 'you're thinking about telling him, aren't you!?'  Sure enough, I think in the previews, but it could be at the end of the show, Katie finds Craig and tells him she knows where Johnny is.  In another scene, and this IS in a preview, Craig and Lucy are face to face and he's asking her, "Hello, Lullabye. How's Johnny?"  Meanwhile, at Al's, Henry and Vienna are having a book signing for Henry's book, pushing the book with offers of free donuts. One of the customers, Mr Peacock, prefers non-fiction, so Vienna tells him that the book is based on fact... Now Casey comes in looking for Maddie and tries to explain and apologize about NYE, but Maddie is done.  Then the reading begins, and Vienna and Henry each take parts and read with all the passion they can come up with, which is considerable.  Afterward, book sales are brisk.... Casey finds Ali sitting on a swing in one of the city parks and tells her that things are over between him and Maddie, even though he tried to explain things... Ali is upset that she caused trouble between Casey and Maddie, and rushes off to talk to Maddie herself. Ali finds Maddie outside the diner and tells her that there's nothing between herself and Casey. Maddie says that Casey couldn't say that he didn't have a thing for Ali, and just then Casey walks up.... Maddie leaves and now an angry Ali asks Casey why he told Maddie he has a thing for her.... she's really angry, but you can see that it's because she's afraid of getting hurt if Casey doesn't really care for her...  Now Dusty and Lucy are talking about what they'll do next. In fact, they're getting ready to leave for Chicago, it appears.  Lucy is talking about how she had shown Johnny pictures of Lucy, and that's why he thought Josey was his mom. Then Josey calls and Dusty keeps it short, saying he'll call her when he gets things settled down. Lucy starts asking him if there was ever anything between him and Josey and actually seems kind of jealous and territorial with Dusty.  Johnny wakes up, and by now he's liking Dusty because Dusty read a book to him at the hospital.   Dusty tells Johnny that Dusty, Johnny and LuLu are going on a trip to Chicago. Johnny wonders why they can't stay in Oakdale, but Dusty says because (basically).... Lucy is just giddy with happiness. Wow, she's going to get to keep Johnny AND have Dusty with them.  I am sooooo ready for this crap to be over! And then this Lucy acting like she thinks there can still be something between herself and Dusty.  And WTH did we have to watch the book stuff at the diner for? I want to click my heels together 3 times and make Oakdale vanish!

Totally agree with all your opinions on today's show. I also wondered how many books Johnny was going to read, or have read to him, until they pulled out the "Airplanes and Parachutes" book that Paul saw in his vision. I figured this would have been a good time to tie it all together and Dusty could realize that Paul wasn't pulling his chain. But no, they pull out the bunny book instead...

They should all be thrown in jail - all those participating in this farce regarding the transplant. How can Lucy and Ally just walk into Oakdale Memorial Hospital and get a doctor to perform a transplant - especially without the Chief of Staff (Dr. Bob) approval. I guess we're supposed to assume they've got the approval already. The way this EXTREMELY STUPID story is being told, you would think that Ally (a student nurse for God's sake!) and Lucy (a questionable doctor who has not been practicing for a couple of years!) were in charge of which procedures are done at the hospital and also make the assignments of doctors to patients. Dr. Bob would never allow all this secrecy and keeping Craig from knowing about his son. This is a hospital, not a playground for these IDIOTS!! You just CANNOT waltz into a hospital in Chicago and say we want to perform a transplant. Doctors CANNOT practice at a hospital until they have been certified and have a current doctor at that hospital vouch for them. I know Lucy is probably not going to do the transplant in Chicago but she also CANNOT just waltz into any hospital in Chicago and ask for a practicing doctor there to perform the transplant. They would want to repeat the blood tests and recheck whether Katie indeed was compatible as a donor. It would take more than a couple of days! GIVE ME A FRIGGIN' BREAK!!!!!!!!!! Dusty is an ASSHOLE!! Brad is an ASSHOLE!! Lucy is an IDIOT!!! Ally is an IDIOT!!! Craig should be told about his son before this band of IDIOTS kill the poor child with their incompetence!!! I HATE THIS STORY!!!!!!!!! |

Patty, we posted around the same time and on completely different ends of the spectrum where Craig is concerned Katie annoyed the living snot out of me today. While there are all sorts of things wrong with Dusty, Ali, Lucy (who is SOOOO annoying, btw ), I was cheering Brad on when he was incredulous with Katie. Craig, no matter who the actor is, has been an AWFUL father to every child he's had. I cannot believe that Katie has a shred of good feeling for Craig, especially since he just set Brad up only to save his own hide. Katie can be ticked off at just about anyone and stick to her guns about it, but with Craig she just folds. Again. Good heavens! I laughed at Henry and Vienna if only because it was easier than crying  I really like Ali and Casey  I wish Ali hadn't gotten sucked into the Dusty/Lucy crap, though.The kid who plays Johnny is cute. I'll be happy when Maddie leaves. She should never have come back. I'm just not enjoying the show at all... I thought I'd try "live" today but it was more or less a waste of time.

Yesterday's show was basically unwatchable for me. I'm not liking Dusty at all in this story. The whole thing is idiotic. I was LOL when Ali was trying to take Craig to Java for that bloodtest.  That reading at Al's was just plain stupid. Why on earth would Henry write a book about Johnny?The whole show bugged me yesterday. |

Well...Another show that I don't have to watch. I saw the promo with Carly/Craig/Holden/Lily - looks like the show might finally be going somewhere interesting!

They REALLY REALLY need to give Henry and Vienna something substantial to work with. I can't believe the drivel that went down int he diner. BTW, the diner seems to be shrinking even more. The counter is basically like 3 feet in front of the door! WTF?!! Here is an old clip of Al's diner. My how the place has changed!
