So ATWT ran an ad tonight during the People's Choice Awards. When I heard they were doing it I thought it was terrific. Then it aired  This is downright embarrassing. Why would this make anyone want to watch ATWT? |

It was nice to see ATWT in primetime, but why not show a spot highlighting a show, not a set of faux obsessed fans?????? |

Awful. The GL promo was great but I can't believe the ATWT one was supposed to be a promo OR funny. |

I'll bet it was cheaper for tptb to create doc footage of "real" people and maybe they thought this was a cute way of inviting a new audience. It actually reminds me of those commercials where they invite people to create their own ads to run during an Awards Show. But apparantly this "ad" was not part of a real contest?  Why not use real fans of the show creating their own improvised scenes. They already did something like that where people created videos which aired during the Daytime Emmys.

P&G produces the awards show so you'd think something better could have been thought up to entice viewers to check out ATWT. Of course, showing promos of the current storylines may not be such a good idea either. LOL |

Kara the youtube of it is in the first post. In the 30 seconds they had, they could have done something better with the current story lines and if they didn't think so then it should have been a big hint as to how bad the stories are. |
