While Carly's at home working with her budget, Jack rushes into the diner and happily tells Janet that he got the second mortgage! Now all he has to do is have Carly sign off on it, like she said she'd do, and they're ready to find a house of their own. Janet's thrilled, and tells Jack not to let Carly change her mind... :smack

Parker comes home and wants an advance on his allowance, but Carly explains that money's tight, and that she's got to go down to Metro to do some cleaning. Parker offers to do it, and hopes she can find an extra $20. :shutup Carly gives him the keys and he heads off. Of course, he makes a stop to pick up Liberty and the two of them end up at Metro, but cleaning isn't what's going on... :rolleyes

Jack brings the papers to Carly to sign. She's ready to do that when Jack finds the check from Craig. He goes into Jack mode, saying he doesn't want Craig around the kids. Carly says, "do you see him here?" :shutup Jack says he can see it all now and goes into a spiel where Craig is now a member of the family, practically, taking the kids to school, etc... :lol :lol :lol So then Carly tells Jack, "fine. I won't take Craig's money. But you'll have to give me half of the second mortgage money..." :clap :clap :clap Jack's jaw drops, but Carly backs off and sweetly signs the papers. :smack Clueless Jack waltzes out the door... :rolleyes

Craig's made a stop at the diner and is talking to Janet. They're talking about Craig giving his car keys to Parker, when suddenly a teen who's sitting at the counter starts choking! :eek Craig rushes over and gives him the heimlich maneuver, impressing Janet, who says she's not learned to do the Heimlich yet. Craig offers to show her and is just in the process when Jack walks in and tells Craig to take his hands off of "my wife". Janet explains what's going on, and Craig goes on his way.

Now Jack and Janet talk and Jack is lamenting the fact that there's a huge chunk of his kids' lives that he's not up to speed with. And, he says, if Craig Montgomery gets to spend even one minute with Jack's kids, that's one minute too many. :rolleyes Janet calms Jack down and tells him that they're going to buy a nice big house and all the kids will feel at home there, and Jack will get to see them a lot... Jack kisses Janet and rushes off to the bank.

Craig, thinking that Carly's at Metro, uses his key to get in. Parker and Liberty hear him coming and hide behind the bar, but Craig spies them right off the bat... Liberty's blouse is unbuttoned and the kids definitely look guilty... just then, they all hear Carly calling Parker's name. Parker is scared that he's going to be in big trouble, but Craig grabs Liberty's hand and drags her out the back way.

Carly comes in and asks Parker how it's going, and then Craig makes his second entrance. :shutup Carly gives Parker a $20 and he leaves.

Craig tells Carly a little bit about running into Jack, and asks her if she's cashed his check yet. When she says no, Craig says he won't have hard feelings if she tears it up, and she takes it in her hands as if she's about to, but instead, folds it and slips it into her bra... :devil Craig smirks, "well done..." :biggrin

Carly reminds Craig that he told her there were no strings attached to the $$ and he says there are only 2 conditions. One, a simple thank you. Carly says there are lots of ways a woman can say thank you, and Craig says he only wants 2 words, 8 letters total. Carly, being her own woman, instead says "thanks". :devil She asks him what the second thing is, and he says, "I have my son back. I get to see him grow up...." He's wanted to say that to somebody all day, he says, and finally has gotten to say it...to Carly. He tells her thank you, and leaves. :muchlove

Liberty's gone to the diner and asks Janet if she can have some hot chocolate. As she takes off her coat, Janet stares at her and angrily tells her to go to the restroom and rebutton her sweater, and then get back out there and explain what she's been doing... :devil

At Memorial, there's the usual chaos around Johnny's room and Paul's room. Of course, Paul's room is right across the hall from Johnny's. :smack

Barbara runs into Josey and says that Paul's visions are getting worse and that he's saying that Johnny's in Oakdale. Josey tells Barbara that Paul's right, Johnny IS in town, in fact, he's right across the hall! Josey takes Babs into Johnny's room, where Babs is overjoyed to see Johnny. Dusty comes in and is very territorial about Johnny. Babs is picking up on it, but isn't really pushing the issue right then. Somehow, both Babs and Dusty have to leave and Josey is supposed to be keeping an eye on Johnny, but pops into Paul's room to check on him, too. In the course of their discussion, she decides to take him into Johnny's room. Paul's glad to see Johnny, and says something about Josey being Johnny's mom. Johnny says that she's not his mom, she just looks like her, which gets Paul confused and Josey takes him back into his room. She tells him the facts about who she is, and that Jennifer is dead... after she goes back to Johnny's room, Paul, still in his robe, leaves the hospital.

Babs and Dusty get back and Babs realizes that Paul's gone and starts yelling at Josey and Dusty starts yelling at Babs and saying that Josey isn't Paul's babysitter... Babs takes off looking for Dusty and Dusty goes into Johnny's room. Josey heads out, thinking she knows where Paul is. She does. She finds him at Jen's grave, and talks about how he hired her and how he must really know that Jen's dead, why else did he come to her grave. :hmm She reminds him that he has a mother and a brother who love him, as well as a baby daughter. Then she takes Paul back to Memorial.

Babs is in with Paul and Paul seems to be doing better, in touch with reality, and appreciative of Babs as a great mother. :shutup

Meanwhile, Josey admits to Dusty that she brought Paul in to see Johnny. Of course, Dusty erupts and Josey stands her ground, saying that's who she is, but that Dusty doesn't know her, because he never took the time to get to know her. "Some cold night, Donovan, you're going to miss me..." and she leaves.

Dusty tracks her down at Java, and switches to tender, confused mode. He's very sweet to her, and she's loving it. :heart

I :heart 'd the show today! Every bit of it. Of course, Jack was being unreasonable, but then, that's Jack nowadays. Janet was being a bit insufferable, but I liked what she told Jack eventually about how he WOULD get to spend time with his kids, and how she thinks Carly can handle Craig. :2thumbs

The only thing I didn't like was the way Parker picked up Liberty (edited thanks to brycefan) and took her to Metro with him and started making out. And I didn't like that Liberty went there with him. Here I had really liked the scene with Parker and Carly where he offered to help out at Metro, and then he went and spoiled it. :cuss

Dusty was a bully, but he saved his bacon with Josey. :2thumbs

Babs and Paul were sweet, and I loved everything about Josey today. I just :heart Josey!

And I :heart 'd Craig today, too.... I know, he's Craig, but I loved him... :devil

Why is Paul's hospital room right across the hall from Johnny's room?

Isn't Paul in the hospital because he has mental problems? In all the hospitals I know of (and have worked at) people in the psychiatric ward are on another floor and the entrance to that floor is locked. There is no way that a mental patient would be on the same floor as a child. Children are in the Pediatrics ward. But of course, at the Oakdale Memorial Hospital, EVERYTHING is on the same floor. This is STUPID!

Dusty is an ASSHOLE and if he says "my son" once more time, I'm going to :puke :puke Good God, he overuses that phrase!

I love Josie and the way that Dusty acts, I don't want her with him at all. Paul (who is an idiot) treats her better than Dusty. Dusty treats everyone like he is in charge and they must all do what he says. Why would anyone want to be with him?

HATED, HATED Jack and Janet. They are the most ANNOYING people on ALL of DAYTIME!!!! Buy a house in another city, better yet, buy a house in another universe. Get off my TV Screen!

Enough with Parker and Liberty. I can't stand Liberty or her Mother or her Mother's husband. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!! :puke :puke :puke :puke

Loved Carly and Craig. I really like Jon Lindstrom as Craig. He's doing a good job.

Call me crazy but I'd rather see Josie with Paul. Dusty treats her like dirt and she doesn't deserve that. He loves to spout off about what a loon Paul is but Dusty has got some SERIOUS problems of his own. I'm sorry but with his propensity toward anger and cruelty, he's no more fit to be a parent than Craig or Paul.

loves2turn, I think I missed this part:

"The only thing I didn't like was the way Parker picked up Josey and took her to Metro with him and started making out"

LOL--I know how typos are--just struck me as funny.

:lol :lol :lol Geeze. :smack Yep, that would have struck me as funny, too, had I even noticed it. Of course, maybe if Liberty would tell Parker no once, he'd turn to Josey..... :rofl :rofl Thanks for pointing that out...

I must be a softy at :heart but I liked Josey and Paul too, and was even thinking that maybe Josey would be the woman who could make Paul healthy mentally again. Boy, what have I been smoking? :smack :lol

I thought that was stupid too... especially because Katie had Paul's room earlier this week... :smack
