Dusty's meeting again with Tom, at The Lakeview. He and Johnny are having breakfast. Tom's trying to reason with Dusty, and get him to act civilized, but Dusty is not even close. After Tom lays out 2 options, he asks Dusty which way it's going to go, and Dusty says, "my way!" :smack

Craig walks up and of course he and Dusty exchange words. Then Craig pulls out some legal papers and tells Dusty to "show these to your lawyer..." which is Tom. :shutup Turns out the papers are dealing with preliminary custody visits that Tom drew up for Craig long, long ago... AND, they haven't been rescinded, so technically, Craig has the right to certain visits with Johnny. He doesn't waste any time, and soon he and Johnny are leaving to go to a park and ride on a kids' train...

More talk from Dusty to Tom, which show that Dusty is determined that Craig will have absolutely no part of Johnny's life. :hmm

At Brad and Katie's, Brad's in the mood for love and Katie's in the mood for getting Brad to agree to just forget about/ignore Craig. Brad doesn't even want to listen and they end up arguing and Katie leaves to go talk to "the only other person in Oakdale who cares about Crait..." Brad asks, "Oh, are you going to talk to Craig?" :lol :lol

Soon Dusty's at Brad's door and working on Brad's hatred for Craig. He asks Brad if he'd be willing to go to the police about Craig if it was guaranteed that Katie wouldn't get in trouble. Brad says yes, so they head off to find Jack.

Jack shows up at Carly's door with a huge box wrapped as a Christmas gift. It's full of stuff for Parker to do while he's laid up in bed. :smack Jack actually compliments Carly, telling her she looks "nice". :shutup Carly tells Jack that Parker's in school and Jack can't imagine why a kid who had a doctor's permission to miss a couple of days would go, but then the dawns and he realizes it's because Parker doesn't want to be away from Liberty....

Now Jack and Carly get into it about Craig, and just as Carly tells Jack that there's no way that Craig's going to be at her place, there's a knock on the door and there are Craig and Johnny. :lol :lol

There are some awkward moments and then Jack leaves, reluctantly.... :biggrin

Craig starts buttering up Carly about what a great mother she is, and again brings up Bryant and talks about how many regrets he has about not being a good father to his older kids and how much he wants this time to be different, with Johnny. Soft-hearted Carly is buying this, although with a helping of skepticism....

Craig starts asking her again to marry him, and the conversation gets to Katie and the fake alibi she was forced to provide for Craig. Carly tells him she's ashamed of him for doing that so Craig says well, if I go to the station and confess and get Katie off the hook, will you at least think about marrying me? Carly can't believe it's going to happen, but says if it does, yeah, she'll THINK about it... so Craig and Johnny head off to the cop shop. :shutup

Katie's asked Margo to meet her and has donuts waiting. :lol When Margo gets there, Katie starts to put a "theoretical" question to Margo, but Margo pounces on it and lets Katie know that she strongly suspects that the alibi Katie gave Craig was a lie. :devil

At that same time, down at the police station, Brad is putting forth his own "theoretical" question to Jack, while Dusty asks him what the hell he's doing... :lol Jack immediately shows that he knows exactly what Brad's talking about....

Things go fast from then on and pretty soon Craig and Johnny and Tom are all at the station. Brad tells Jack and Margo all about Craig and the Spencer thing and how Craig made Katie give him an alibi. Now they need to hear that from Katie herself, and she's about to talk when Craig comes in and has a loving, tender scene with Johnny, which makes Katie decide she's not going to be responsible for Craig going to prison, and she leaves. At home, she and Brad argue and she tells Brad she doesn't want to have to chose between her brother and her husband, and an angry and hurt Brad says, "You already did!" and storms out.... :rolleyes

Back at the Lakeview, Dusty and Johnny are waiting for the elevator and Dusty's kidding around with Johnny and making him laugh. Johnny throws himself into Dusty's arms and says, "I like having 2 daddies!" :muchlove

Craig shows up at Carly's with flowers and champagne, he wants to toast to their wedding. :lol
Carly can't believe he's not in jail, and asks him what he did. He says he did nothing, that Katie changed her mind and wouldn't press charges. The dawne on Carly that Craig used Johnny, and she's not pleased, but can't help thinking, I think, that Craig is still really slick. Craig tales a picture of Carly, "my betrothed" but Carly tells him to forget it, she's not marrying him, and Craig leaves... :shutup

Except for a COUPLE...and I do mean TWO at the MOST....cute/okay moments...that was a tough hour to sit through.

Sadly I am MOST sick of JOHNNY...but with most family clusters...I can see the issues via the KID but then realize the true PROBLEM is a parental unit.

And as behind the times that daytime soaps have been...with the late emergence of NUKE...one quick kick that show could definitely keep ATWT buzzing is introducing a gay family/adoption which would be close to NUKE and keep NUKE looking toward a future of creating a family in about 5 years.

Thanks for the recap. At the risk of repeating myself, I am soooooooo sick of Dusty. I can't believe I'm rooting for Craig. I just can't stand what he's doing and I find the whole dialogue so repetitive and boring I end up FFing while he's on.

And Jack, well, Jack. He's doing it again. You can see the longing in his eyes for Carly and it's the same story over and over again. Jack distances himself so far from her by marrying someone else, even though he knows he still has feelings, then, when she moves on, he goes after her. I was really wishing that they could come back together because he realized who she is and finally accepted her that way. Not because he throws a jealous fit. He'll use the whole Craig is dangerous thing, but in the end, it's just going to be jealousy. I thought the writers had grown up as much as Carly had, but I guess not.
