Looks like tptb are having Craig and Dusty find mates to improve their chances in court for full custody. So it would make sense for Craig to propose to Carly but for Carly to agree to this? And previews show Dusty proposing to Meg which would be nice if it weren't because of the custody issue. The stage is set of course with Carly getting financial help from Craig, Craig saving Parker's life, Craig complementing her for her parenting skills, and then he takes credit for getting Jack who's constantly criticizing Carly's parenting to back off. Of course it was Janet who actually speaks with Jack. Plus Carly has a soft spot for Johnny who she cared for as "Rory." But I think the writers got it all wrong. The custody battle should be between just Dusty and Craig and not be a reason to create new couples. Dusty I'm sure would be a great husband for Meg but this is so unromantic! Craig is not worthy to breath the same air as Carly but he thinks they can be romantic partners as well as parents. Carly should be moving ahead with her life and hooking up with Craig just sets her back five years! Here's an idea: instead of setting feminism back 50 years with Craig and Dusty finding wives how about after going head to head in court flinging insults (eg. criminal records) at each other the judge gets fed up with them both and rules they have to share a household and raise Johnny together! They could set up housekeeping at Fairwinds after Paul moves out because he's soooooo lonely without Meg. Then Meg and Carly can visit their guys and help out when needed. Why should either woman be married now? Then there's Katie and Brad a couple that used to be fun to watch and could still be if they were both on the same page with the Craig issue. I was hopeful that she would confess what Craig did along with Brad but instead Brad tells the whole story wtihout any back up from her. Then she changes her mind after Craig shows up with Johnny and she's reminded of how much he cares for the boy. While its fine Katie has her own point of view on this I think she really should support her husband in this case. It would create closure for Brad at least who feels like a victim who can't get justice! Oh, well another great couple bites the dust while two new couples are created for all the wrong reasons!
