Meg tells Dusty that she'll consider marrying him. This is after he reminds her of what she and Paul did to Jennifer. Of course, Dusty says he's forgiven Meg, but you know this puts more pressure on her...

:josey
Then Dusty tells Josey that he proposed to Meg. At the same time, Barbara's talking to Paul and he's telling her about kissing Meg and that it didn't go well, but that he's sure she loves him just as much now as she ever did. :waiting

Meg later talks to Babs and tells her her version of the kiss. She tells Babs that Paul hasn't recovered as well as he wants people to think. :waiting Babs tries to think positive... :shutup

Josey tells Paul that Dusty proposed to Meg and that she's thinking about it. Naturally, Paul reacts badly and goes out to the farm to talk to Meg.

Babs shows up at Fairwinds to tell Paul she talked to Meg, but Paul's gone and Josey's there. She tells Babs that Dusty proposed to Meg and that Meg's thinking about it. Babs gets on the phone and leaves a message for Paul...

But by then, Paul's at the farm, face to face with Meg. :hmm

Jack stops bye Carly's to pick up Sage and Carly asks him not to say anything to Sage yet about Carly's engagement to Craig. But Craig shows up and spills the beans, and of course Sage is upset.

Sage leaves with Jack and asks him why Carly would be marrying Mr Montgomery, a bad man. Sage brings up what Craig did to Rosanna.... Jack is trying to stay neutral, and tells Sage that this is Carly's decision and that he's staying out of it.

Meanwhile, Craig tells Carly that the wedding is going to be in a few days and not just some thrown together affair. Carly is taken off guard and then to top things off, Craig pulls out this huge engagement ring and puts it on Carly's hand.... :waiting

Sage tells Jack that she loves Carly but that she doesn't want to live in the same house as Craig. Later, Craig talks to Jack, who says that he's staying out of this. :wacko

Sage comes home and packs a small bag and calls a cab. She's going to live with her dad. :smack Carly runs out and pays off the cab and tries to talk to Sage about how things will work out... Sage isn't listening, and ends up going home with Jack. :waiting

Craig comes back to Carly's with a marriage license and says that the wedding can be held at The Lakeview. He doesn't seem to care that much that Sage is moving out, and says that the whole thing is Jack trying to control Carly. He asks Carly how long she's going to take it. Carly says she's not going to lose her child so that Craig can have his.... :waiting :fliplid

Craig continues to play on Carly's emotions, trying to convince her that Jack is totally behind Sage moving out, and that he's manipulating Carly just like he is Sage.... Craig is talking a good game, and although Carly's trying to believe in Jack, Craig is convincing... Carly says that she doesn't care if Jack's manipulating her. If she has to end the engagement to Craig to keep Sage, she will.

Craig reminds Carly that he has enough money to change Sage's mind..... :hmm

Meanwhile, we get to see Jack and Sage sitting at Al's. And it's clear that indeed, Jack IS behind Sage threatening to move out....

Paul starts out talking calmly to Meg, and asks her why they can't both live at Fairwinds. She and Eliza could have their own wing.... Meg admits she's still attracted to Paul, but says that living at Fairwinds wouldn't work out. She says she doesn't want to take a chance on making a slip and giving in to her attraction to Paul.

This seems to strike a chord with Paul and not a pleasant one. He gets angry and says that he doesn't understand how she can feel as she does, and yet think about marrying Dusty. What would happen, he wonders, if she "slipped" and something happened between her and Dusty? :hmm

Meg is frightened by the way Paul's acting and refuses to let him go upstairs to see Eliza.

The next time we see Paul, he's at Fairwinds, obviously in denial, telling Barbara that he knows Meg will come back to him.

However, Meg's at Dusty's, saying that she'll marry him... :gaah

Thanks for the recap. I can't believe Josie is still hanging around and running around for Dusty. He treats her like absolute crap. I also think the Dusty/Meg getting married thing is just dumb. I'm really having a hard time finding an SL that I like right now.

Ali, I'm not enjoying the back and forth between Josey and Dusty anymore, either. It just doesn't make sense to me, and as Judge Judy says, "If it doesn't make sense, it isn't happening..." Well, I changed the ending of that quote... :shutup

Everything between Craig and Carly is flat-out awful and beyond comprehension.

And Dusty being a complete fill-in-the-blank is just terrible.

I'm back to recaps... (glad you're back, Barb!) I get too frustrated watching the show again. :gaah

I hope for the sake of Dusty's character they are able to move past this Johnny obsession and war with Craig SOON. As long as he's caught up in this mania, nothing he does is going to make sense or seem anything other than bizarro. He's acting downright evil and his interaction with everyone is just life-sucking. For the life of me I can't understand why all these women are falling all over themselves to help him. If they had half a brain among them they would tell Dusty to man up and stop acting so infantile and selfish--share joint custody and let the chips fall where they may.

All that said, I think Josie is the one most qualified to raise this kid!

How the mighty hath fallen! Jack, Jack, Jack!!! Craig had him pegged for sure. I never would have believed that he would actually lie and manipulate to get his way. And drag his daughter in on it. This is something he would have lambasted Carly for. And it's just more proof that Jack still loves Carly. Sure, he might be worried about his kids too (who wouldn't with Craig!) but this steps over a HUGE line for Jack.

I can't wait until everyone (i.e. Janet and Carly) all find out. As crazy as all these marriages of convenience are, I'm actually enjoying all the conniving and backstabbing and great dialogue that's going along with it. This is going to be fun. And I'm still loving nununuCraig!

I READ Barb's recap before watching...and after reading the VERY GOOD recap...I just wondered if I could even stomach watching these storylines unfold.

BUT in true Oakdale fashion...the actors still provided that extra kick where I can still enjoy this soap. And I am very very very ready for a new chapter of storylines to begin. The sooner...the better.

Well, Dusty is a tool, choosing Meg over Josey just to keep her away from Paul, :cuss I gotta say the actress playing Josey did an excellent job at reacting to Dusty telling her he proposed to Meg. As crazy as this whole SL is, Josey is the silver lining. Its seem so clear that Dusty should be marrying her instead of Meg if he needs a wife and someone who is good for Johnny. I can understand why Dusty needs to make a move so quick to help with custody but to protect Meg from Paul? :brickwall Enough already of Dusty being the white knight! And please let allow Meg to grow stronger away from any man. Paul is crazy but deserves visitation. Dusty could be a good father to Eliza but Meg does not deserve a loveless marriage! I would have liked Dusty and Meg's reunion to be a romantic union, not a business arrangement! Craig and Carly make more sense as a loveless arrangement. While Josey's devotion seems to be one sided I'll bet she'll eventuallyl get Dusty to slip up and show his feelings for Josey while he is married to Meg exposing the sham of a marriage! :devil Weird, though these marriages don't involve illegal aliens I get this feeling of deja vu. Remember Ameera? :hmm
