Well, I have to hand it to Craig today. When Carly again told him she wouldn't marry him unless her kids approved, he went for it and ... voila... got the job done.  Sage went to work with Jack, because she was too upset to go to school, and was in the interrogation room drawing mug shots...  Craig had stopped by earlier and Margo had said she'd go to the wedding, which was to be today at noon at the Lakeview, but wouldn't stand up as his best person...  Craig asked her to go ask Katie to be at the wedding, Katie wasn't taking his calls, so, things being slow in the criminal world that day,  Margo headed over to Katie's....Carly had tried to talk to Parker about the wedding, but he had to hurry off to hockey practice before school.  That's where Craig found him, after practice, and asked to talk to him about the wedding. Craig was upfront about it, telling Parker that Carly had said she'd marry him, but only if the kids approved. Then Craig went on to talk to Parker about how important the marriage was to him as far as the custody of Johnny went, and how Craig wants a second chance to be a father to Johnny, after losing Bryant. So, good hearted Parker said oh okay, it's fine with him, and he headed over to the police station to talk to Sage. Meanwhile, Lily got home from the Lakeview, where she was helping get things arranged for Carly's reception, and told Holden about Carly and Craig. Holden said Carly must be nuts and he flew out of the house to talk some sense into her. Carly told him she's tired of being alone, and that at least Craig will be there to support her and help her raise the kids. Holden asked, "what about love?"  Katie and Brad are having a wild lovemaking session and work up an appetite for Swedish meatball subs.  Brad goes out to get a couple and that's when Margo arrives and tells Katie about the wedding. Katie agrees to go, and hopes that maybe Craig is a changed man... Margo says she can't believe that after what Craig did to Rosanna and Gwen, that Carly would have anything to do with him, but figures that maybe after awhile you just have to let things go...  Margo leaves, with fingers crossed... Brad comes home and talks Katie out of going to the wedding by saying he thinks they should have a baby, and should start right now... Parker and Jack went into the interrogation room and Parker told Sage that since marrying Craig is so important to Carly, he thinks they should be there to support her. Sage says that Craig is a bad man, but Parker says that so far, Craig's been nice to him... Sage asked Jack if Jack thought she and Parker should give Carly the green light and Jack said yes, so Sage and Parker headed home... Carly opened her door to Craig, who told her she should be getting dressed for the wedding. She reminded him she wasn't marrying him unless the kids approved, and just then, in walked Parker and Sage, saying the wedding was okay with them. Carly and Sage went upstairs to get dressed, and Carly asked Sage to be her bridesmaid and Sage said yes, and downstairs, Craig was telling Parker that Parker was probably his best friend, and would Parker be his best man.. Parker said okay then... People start arriving for the wedding, mainly Margo, Lily and Holden... The justice of the peace is getting restless, because Carly's not there yet, so Craig doubles his fee.... Craig tells Margo that he tried to call Dusty to see if Johnny could be at the ceremony, but didn't know where he is.... Margo said Craig would need more than a wedding license to get custody of Johnny... Just then, Carly, Sage and Parker showed up. Carly's wearing a little black dress with a white kind of satin jacket over it.Craig puts a necklace on Carly, it had belonged to his mother...  Then he reaches bhind the bar and pulls out two bouquets, one for Carly and one for Sage. Parker fakes that he can't find the ring, of course he can, and Craig asks if everybody's ready, and the ceremony starts, with Craig giving a little speech first.... when that's over, the JP begins the ceremony.... As Carly listens, she looks at Sage's sad face, and at Margo, looking like she'd rather be anyplace else, she sees a solemn Parker and Lily and Holden, who are there reluctant.y... then, to finish things off, she sees Jack walk in and stand staring at her....  The previews don't give anything away as to whether or not Carly's wedding will actually happen...

Compared to MEG and DUSTY....I really do not blame CARLY for marrying CRAIG. Security and Support...but where is the love? Where would LOVE be with CARLY if JACK is not involved? Hopefully the wedding will be completed tomorrow....then DUSTY and MEG will get married on Tuesday. The JOHNNY TRIAL on WEDNESDAY and the ANNULMENT of the LOSER on THURSDAY. And the rest can happen in the spring. |

Craig didn't do anything but manipulate Parker. Sick  It was Parker and JACK that got Sage to go along with the wedding and to accept this, not Craig. He didn't have anything to do with that. I was totally disgusted by Craig's pity party with Parker. So Craig wants a 2nd chance with Johnny, fine. But I was revolted when he talked about wanting a 2nd chance to be a father to Parker, JJ and Sage They have a father and his name ain't Craig and Craig has no business trying to play daddy to them. Besides the only way he knows to parent is to manipulate and to buy them off. Just like Janet has no business playing mother to them, Craig has no business playing father to them. Craig sucks  Sage is still very unhappy that her mother is marrying the bad man and in the end it will hurt their relationship if Carly goes through with this. The fact that Craig sees his child as far more important than Carly's relationship with her kids should be a glaring neon sign. Why sacrifice at the very least her daughter for Craig? I loved the ending of the show when reality seemed to be crashing in on Carly with what she was about to do as she looked at everyone's unhappy or board faces and then she locked eyes with Jack. No way should Carly settle for a loveless marriage. Katie and Brad were a wast of space. Goutman directed today and did a great job on that ending scene. |

Judy, so let me make sure I know how you feel about Craig... What Craig DID, in this case, is get going and talk to Parker. Yeah, he played him, but hey, this IS a soap, after all. We're supposed to hate Craig. And I liked that he just did it and didn't skulk around... as for Jack, yeah, I'd agree he was the push that brought Sage into line, but I was really confused about why they had him looking so contrite and telling Sage to go ahead and change her mind, even Sage looked at him like she was wondering WTH after the talk they'd had the other day... I thought that was something the writers kind of missed the boat on...

Way too much Craig. It may be the same character, but it's a new face and I don't see why he always comes onto the scene and takes over the show. The writers have messed with all these couples so much it's hard to have anyone to root for. |

Its a good thing Katie and Brad didn't show up 'cause the Lakeview lounge set is so small they would have had no room to stand and Lily and Holden already called the couch! I actually liked Katie and Brad's fooling around and it was a nice contrast to the travesty of a wedding that is Carly and Craig! We actaully got to see Terri semi naked TWICE! Since I haven't read spoilers I was surprised Craig had arranged the wedding for that day and not in a couple of weeks just because of the custody hearing. Of course the way tptb do things I shouldn't have been surprised. Carly's explanation for marrying Craig did make sense but I was glad it ended with Carly looking like she had second thoughts.  Nice to actually have a cliffhanger for a change!
