Carly stopped the wedding, and told Craig that she couldn't marry him because she doesn't love him. Craig said that he doesn't love her, either, he thought that was a given, but Carly wasn't to be swayed... :2thumbs

Margo tried to calm Craig down and make him feel better, but there was no getting through to him, and he went up to his room to drink. :shutup

Lily took the rings up to Craig and told him she knew that he'd manage to show the judge that he should have custody of Johnny. But Craig seems to have given up, and lashes out at Lily, asking her why she even cares what Carly does, considering that Carly slept with Holden. :waiting

Meanwhile, Carly told Holden that no, she wasn't saving herself for Jack, but seeing him made her remember how you're supposed to feel when you get married - that breathless feeling that anything is possible... :muchlove

Downstairs, Lily's got that seed of doubt in her mind about Carly and Holden. When she sees Carly and Holden talking, she feels insecure and wonders if there's still a spark of something between them. Later, at Emma's, Holden asks her what's wrong, and she admits how she feels. Holden tells her that seeing the wedding that wasn't just made him realize how important their marriage is, and how hard they've worked to keep it intact. :muchlove

Jack takes the kids home while Carly drinks some champagne with Lily and Holden, and when Carly goes home, Jack tells her, with a hug, that he's glad she didn't marry Craig, "You deserve better than him..." :heart Then he leaves, leaving Carly with a big smile on her face... :hmm

Dusty, Meg, Eliza and Johnny are in Reno where Meg gets a quickie divorce and has just as quick a wedding ceremony. When Johnny asks her if she's his mommy now, she tells him to just call her Meg... Then they all go back to Oakdale, and out to the farm. Emma's got the flu, so Meg says they should wait to tell her the news, but Holden and Lily are still there, so.... first Lily tells them that Craig and Carly didn't get married, and then Dusty and Meg say that they DID... :shutup

Lily and Holden are shocked and of course, Holden is furious. Lily takes Dusty outside and asks him why he felt he had to do this and Dusty says that he couldn't take any chances that he'd lose Johnny.... :waiting

Inside, Holden is yelling at Meg, and says that she's going to have big trouble when Paul finds this out... Meg tells Holden he's taking this personally, and to stop - it's not all about him... :2thumbs

Lily and Holden go home and Holden's still fuming. Lily says that she thinks that if Meg had married anybody besides Dusty, Holden wouldn't be reacting this strongly. Now, Dusty is a part of the family, and Lily says that when Holden helps Carly out like he does, Lily feels pretty much the same way Holden does about Dusty... :hmm :clap

Dusty tells Meg goodnight and says that tomorrow he'll find them a place to live. Meg says that with his little inheritence, he should be able to find them someplace nice. :shutup

A drunk Craig shows up at Carly's and berates her for humiliating her in front of everybody. Carly tries to tell him that she really thought she'd marry him, but Craig's not having it.... Craig asks Carly if she did this deliberately to prove something to Jack. She says of course not, so then Craig says oh, it must have been to impress Holden.:smack

Carly tells Craig that he doesn't need her to fight for Johnny. He tells her that he doesn't need her for anything, and then says that he's calling in his loan - she owes him $200,000! Then he walks out the door, Carly yelling at him that he's in no shape to drive... but he doesn't stop and Carly grabs her purse and yells at Parker that she's going to be gone for a minute, then she goes after Craig! :eek

She follows Craig to the Lakeview, and he's drunkenly and loudly and tearfully, pounding on Dusty's door and yelling, "Let me see my son!" Carly tries to console him, but he yells at her and tells her to leave him alone, don't come near him again... " :waiting

I was kind of confused, today, with Margo's attitude. She seemed really kind of put out at Carly, and sympathetic to Craig, and later, she actually warned Jack to watch out for Carly, because, "she's out there, slinking around, with not much to do...." :hmm :hmm

The way Dusty and Meg were holding "Eliza" today was pretty hysterical... :shutup

Oh why oh why is it NEVER brought up that Carly loaned Craig $1 million and never was paid back??? I hate when history is ignored. Carly should have sniped back "It's a down payment on what you owe me ...." :gaah

I'm glad she didn't marry Craig. I hope she doesn't reconsider because she feels guilty.

Craig was actually interesting to watch today - for once, he seemed 100% up front about EVERYTHING. The actor did a good job, too. This doesn't mean that I like Craig much but I thought it was interesting to see him be honest (for once) and have things fall apart around him. He'll miss the point entirely, as Margo tried to point out to him, that it was all built on a lie ... oh well :smack

Craig's last scene at the elevator was good :2thumbs and well deserved, IMO.

I really liked Carly today but am worried about:
1) the way she looked so guilty on Craig's behalf at the end
2) how she's the 'bad' person at the end of the day, no matter what

Other than Margo's astonishingly good discussion with Craig, she was AWFUL today - as in petty, judgmental and inconsistent! :cuss Her hair looked nice, though :wink

I liked Holden a lot today, too, and thought his look of WTH? at Lily back at the farm was perfect :devil Lily finally made a good point when they talked back at the house but she really needs to take stock of the reality around her - Carly was looking at her FRIENDS, not as ex lovers but as people whose opinion she trusted. Lily's insecurities drive me nuts :smack

And didn't sharp eyed Lily notice that Carly was looking mostly at Jack?

I'm just glad that Janet didn't float in from some corner... :2thumbs

I don't know what to think about Dusty and Meg. For starters, I do like them together - but as very good friends, nothing more. Clearly, Paul is NEVER going to respect that. I don't buy Dusty and Meg as anything more and I hope their marriage doesn't flesh out that way.

Where does Josie fit in? As long as she doesn't end up with Paul, I'm ok for now. I really like her!

Previews - I'm already hating Emily :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss I'm sure Patty is going to be thrilled :devil

The farm hand and the flatfoot - that had to be Craig's funniest line.

I really think Jon Lindstrom is doing a fabulous job as Craig. He's the same weasel as he always was but he also makes me feel some sympathy for him. I LOVE CRAIG!!!

What the HELL was Jack even doing anywhere near the wedding? He needs to go home to his god forsaken wife and be happy, happy, happy and stay the HELL away from Carly. He is an ASSHOLE!!! That smug santimonious JERK!! (and Ditto for Holden!!!!!)

What the HELL was with Margo today (or for that matter most of the time)? She is getting to be a real buttinski. First she hates Craig and wishes only bad things for him and next he's her brother again. Her comments about Carly above beyond the pale. What is her PROBLEM?

Yeah, Emily is the scum of the earth for trying to cause problems with Casey and Ally, but I also HATE JANET and JACK so much that I've been cutting Emily a little slack lately (plus she hasn't been on a lot lately). And after today, Margo is running neck and neck with Emily.

I hope this is not the end of Carly and Craig. I really like them together.

I even enjoyed Dusty and Meg today. Dusty wasn't the ASSHOLE he usually is.

These marriages of convenience are STUPID!!!

Patty, I really have a lot of respect for the actor's talent, playing Craig. :2thumbs

And I liked Dusty and Meg, too, surprised myself. I thought that Holden had a good point about a make believe family for Johnny, and how he would feel when the fake marriage fell apart... :hmm

Excellent show today! My prayers were answered and Carly did NOT marry Craig! :woot I understand her sympathy for Craig but Holden was right she should only marry for love. I guess she would be a character witness for Craig now if he'll let her. But I don't feel sorry for him. I can't forget all the horrible things he's done and while he deserves to have a fresh start with Johnny he should share in the custody not be sole parent. Dusty should be willing to share as well but we all know that's not gonna happen. :argue It was great that Dusty was more relaxed with Meg and not such a jerk but I can't forgive the way he made Josie feel. :cry It was funny the way Meg and Dusty held the loaf of Eliza. :devil Why did Meg not have the car seat until after they arrived at Emma's? :huh As far as Margo goes...hmmm she dislikes Carly, Emily, Susan, Meg, Barbara finds Vienna silly, Lucinda overbearing only likes Ali cause she saved her life, seems only cordial to Lily. The only women she is friendly with are members of her family Katie, Kim, Lisa, Nancy and Bonnie because Lisa is her godmother. Margo needs some close girlfiends and to stop being a cop 24 seven. While Margo doesn't care for Paul or Dusty because of their criminal pasts, Craig is family so of course she will cut him some slack. That's basically what I got from her convo with Katie. Margo puts family first and job second but no fun or friends in her list of priorities. How sad! :lame

I agree with Barb :woot

And Rich, you brought up an excellent point about Margo and her relationships with the other women on the show. Personally, I've attributed that over the years to her being a cop and having to haul each and every one of those women in at one point or another. Her disdain for Emily is the only one, IMO, that should reasonably stick because the rest of them have all moved on, and Margo needs to lighten up. Hence, Barb's very wise suggestion :devil

I hated this episode with SNOW WHITE HATE. The only good thing is that most likely all will change every day or week until Johnny is a Doctor at Memorial....or dead.

The 'dead' part is a bit extreme, don't you think??!

I just wish there would be some reasonable resolution to the custody issue involving Johnny and soon :fingers

Thankfully...this is fiction...

And Craig IS his daddy....and it was one thing to watch DrBob and DrJohn tussle over Andy Dixon...

But what we have been given with JohnnyMontgomeryDonovan....this storyline is almost as bad as being locked in a dungeon in a Scottish castle.

I cannot imagine an acceptable ending to this mess.

I also wonder if poor ELIZA will be going down the same path.

I agree with Patty, the farmer and the flatfoot was a hoot. I also can't stand Jack, he and Holden are so self righteous. I too like Dusty and Meg....anything to stick it to the miserable piece of work Paul. Iam not interested in Jade/Casey/Luke/Noah/Emily they are all so boring so I FF through their scenes.
